  1. on coffee and football this morning, CJ said it wasn't a given that LBJ starts on Sunday. not sure who else they'd trot out there, but i can also see why they don't have a lot of faith in LBJ right now.
  2. i saw a projection yesterday that had us hosting Penn State in the first round and then moving on to play Utah in the Fiesta Bowl. Looked pretty ideal to me. I, too, drool over the thought of a home playoff game at DKR.
  3. you're a good dude. keep up the good work with the YouTube channel. it has certainly enhanced my longhorn fandom over the past couple of football seasons. i have nothing but respect for you, Gerry, and Blake for producing listenable content on a daily basis.
  4. i thought he pretty clearly spelled it out: their qb is a spare.
  5. just watched the replay of the Inoue/Nery fight from very early this morning. What a fucking monster Inoue is. Just a joy to watch. Would love to see him move up and fight Navarrete at 126 or 130. That would be an all out war.
  6. i was watching some of that game yesterday thinking there is an alternate world that exists where both mobley and banchero are on the rockets...
  7. i'm not sure that's true. their stud pitcher had the game of his life in game 1, but we beat them in the second matchup while the third matchup was a close game we ended up on the wrong side of. i don't think anyone here went in to that third game thinking we had no shot to win it.

  9. yeah im illegally streaming this over ufc tonight.
  10. that was a fucking awesome finish. i had thought Fierceness might be the next coming of American Pharoah but obviously not. Sierra Leone looks like the best of them to me. My guess is he's the favorite in the Belmont.
  11. yeah the more i've looked into it the more i think Fierceness is probably just too good. Leaning Fierceness over some combinition of Sierra Leone, Just a Touch, and Catching Freedom.
  12. he's seriously pinch hitting Brown here???
  13. i meant lets go Casey!
  14. didn't make any sense not to give him the ball at the very top of the inning if you were going to bring him in as soon as you got in to trouble.
  15. appreciate you doing this. assuming the nets pick stays at #9, i'd be good with any of the guys listed #7-10 here.
  16. i'm with you man. i love what Bobby and Gerry are doing with the YouTube channel, but their site just isn't for me. nothing wrong with that.
  17. i was indifferent but now i am going to enjoy watching them fail.
  18. I'm not sure if May 1st qualifies as the beginning of the dog days of the offseason or not (my personal opinion is that the end of the College World Series and NBA Finals in mid to late June begins the true dog days), but either way I figure we're close enough and we've seen enough offseason player movement where we can start somewhat seriously discussing expectations for the 2024 season. I think we are all pretty high on this program and we have big expectations for 2024. My personal expectation is a 10-2 regular season record, a playoff appearance, and at least one win in the playoff. If we get all that, it will be hard for me to see the season as anything other as a success. At least that's how I see it 4 months from kickoff. What say you?
  19. 1st reply nails it.
  20. never would have dreamed that i'd be looking forward to denver/minnesota even a couple of weeks ago, but here i am.
