  1. In the past few days I’ve picked up Blood Oath, Hancock’s Presidents Reserve, Bookers’s Granny’s Batch and Heaven’s Hill BiB. Yet I think the best buy was probably the 2 - 1L’s of OF rye for $24 each.
  2. Seemed like a neat idea until 15 minutes in, John Legend version of Nothing Compares to You. Overproduced and unmitigated shitshow. Tuning out now.
  3. Going rate around Austin is about $69.
  4. (He’s right you know gif) Have both and agree. Although that’s pretty good Maker’s...
  5. So go to theinterstellarbbq.com to order brisket that’s 98% as good for $23/lb. Still pretty pricey but not quite so steep.
  6. Just looked at the website. $27.50/lb for brisket? FML.
  7. Been a long day. Happy hour.
  8. Read a LPT on batching cocktails. I now prepare a batch of manhattans - premix 12 oz of whiskey with 6 oz of vermouth and 3 oz of water. Chill overnight then add to a glass with your bitters and whatever else you want to add.
  9. $32.46 drive out with tax. I’m not much for paying over MSRP.
  10. First time venturing out in about a week. Bought 3 bottles for under $100 total at the local twin: Larceny Small Batch, Elijah Craig Small Batch, and Eagle Rare. The first two fit your definition. And the Eagle Rare wasn’t much more.
  11. Early Times BiB OF Rye
  12. I like it. If you like other OF products you will too.
  13. Was thinking about signing on for football but waiting to see if they do the right thing with our baseball suite payment...
  14. NXNW was missing payroll a year ago. Sorry to see them go but not a Carona casualty.
  15. I did a similar cook, and wish I’d wiped down the meat before cooking. Tasted damn good though. Had some extra marinade so chopped up some potatoes and used on them for an oven roast. Also pretty tasty.
  16. Drinking Boulevardiers with OF Rye today. Another good rye choice.
  17. Killed this in a week. So. Damn. Tasty.
  18. If Stagg Jr is that readily available I am planning a move. Good choice. Also, consider an OF barrel select or any of the Barrel Bourbons that fall under your limit. I’m also a big fan of Breckinridge’s Distiller’s proof, which should be easy to find in Colorado but isn’t well known.
  19. Sutton played for Iba then I think started his coaching career as an assistant under him as well.
  20. My last year at State was Eddie’s first year back. After suffering through the mediocrity of Leonard Hamilton’s teams it was night and day. Especially for a sports fan base starved for wins ever since Hart Lee Dykes rolled over on the football team and nearly made OSU the second death penalty case. He took us to the Sweet Sixteen that first year - amazing run. Started the best run in OSU history since Henry Iba was on the sidelines.
  21. Drive another 5 miles up 183 to the TW Lakeline. Good selection and sometimes a nice surprise up by the front desk.
  22. TW prioritizes stock at their stores based on volume/size. Also depends on who is the buyer for the particular store. Im fortunate that the one nearest me is high volume and has a good buyer. I’ve been told at one of the smaller stores they will never get hard to find stuff much less allocated bottles because they don’t have enough sales volume.
  23. Family Feud surveyed 100 people to Identify an Aggy’s favorite date.
  24. Opened this up tonight. Damned tasty.
  25. I’ll offer Early Times BiB as a friendly amendment.
