The first person to come up with turning that orange balloon baby into one of these is gonna make a fortune.

I just want a statesman, not a politician. I don't care the age or health. I want someone out for the good of the whole country and not for the exclusive good of themselves, their cronies, nor their corporate puppet masters. Sadly, we have always lacked these kinds of leaders. Or they start out as statesmen and the system beats them down, changes them.

I am going to hypothesize that those 3 young men at some point decided to do a little candid camera play. They had it set up and were waiting for someone to take the bait. Once posted, they would show the world it was the left and minorities doing uncivil things, not the right. They would be MAGAt heroes without having to actually do any fighting.
It's odd that the video only captured the final part of that. Either that, or more likely race baiting comments were edited out.

Is Limas Sweed the only Brenham grad who has a super bowl ring?

Huh. Some of them are lame. Some of them are really fucking funny.
And yes, laughing at and relentlessly humiliating the small-dicked incel MAGA crowd is time well-spent.I think you are on to something. A lot of the MAGA crowd is like their leader in they have a lot of insecurity and have a very drab sense of humor. I know several of them and what they use for humor is often repetitive and rather obvious. They can't stand when others laugh at a comment that has sailed right over their heads. So yes, you are right, if you want to get under their skin, that is the best way.
I'm not saying we laugh off all the bad shit they are doing, or are supporting. Just figure humor is a weapon to use against them that they can't counter.

I don't really care what you think. I think there are a whole bunch of people out there who are so tired of all this crap, that humor is welcome. Even if some of it isn't perfect.

Those books in decent shape are drawing $50-100. I guess it's out of print now. I need to find my copy.

It was something Obama did. Therefore it must be reversed by Trump. So much of what he does (outside the Russian directive) is set to eradicate anything Obama did and replace it with Trump.

I refuse to see this movie, since it looks like a horribly acted Hallmark TV puff piece. I already made the mistake of reading Jim Dent's Courage Beyond The Game.
I agree with your assessment of the genre of the movie. For those of us who were around during that period though, cheesy or not, it brought back memories, it told a story that shouldn't be forgotten. I wish it had been a better production, so it would have had a broader appeal. I would guess you read "I Play to Win?" I haven't read Dent's book, but I read this one about 40 something years ago. Not sure how it aged.

I have been enjoying this from the perspective of learning. I have seen tons of stuff on Civil War and WW2, but these newest documentaries on WWI, Korea, Crimean War and Vietnam are good.

Eddie Macon's Run. Again, not a great movie. Filmed in Laredo. There was one club in town for the local gringos. Schneider spent time there during the shooting. He thought VERY highly of himself, which is good, because by the time he left town, no one there thought much of him.
Good call on the Gregory Portland locations for Raggedy Man. It was mainly Gregory though.
And thanks for the shout out for A Perfect World. I knew something had been filmed in Martindale, and I kept trying to put Tender Mercies there.

Wasn't the best movie, but I sure liked the subject matter.

Spicer wrote a book of lies defending the administration and has sold tens of copies. He could have put Trump on blast and told the truth. He would be a millionaire shortly if he'd chosen to go that route and one with a clean conscience. Fuck him.
I think Cohen has figured out that strategy too.
-
Since Cohen is broke, do you think his new legal team is doing it for the publicity, or maybe also to guide Cohen on getting the best deal for his flipping?
Maybe there are some anti-Trump benefactors who started underwriting his defense once they learned he was going to flip.

Every now and then I catch about two minutes of Limbaugh’s show. It’s staggering. It’s impossible for me to believe that I used to like the guy back in the early 90s.I'm right with you. I even had a subscription to the Conservative Chronicle.
