@Nice Guy Eddie the science on metformin for longevity is pretty limited. I bet it's hard to find a doctor to prescribe metformin for longevity, but you can walk out your door and have a low dose glp-1 in your hand within an hour and the science (I think) is more robust, but also still very limited. But keep in mind, longevity research is a nascent area and likely will be ever changing during the remainder of our lifetimes. same goes for peptides... increasing growth factors in theory is great, but there's just not a lot out there. there are a number of supplements out there that have more science behind them at this stage than peptides or prescription meds. it's all emerging science though that's for sure.

I agree with you. and yes, AIC is a bunch of solo guys (and a couple of gals) that once upon a time learned how to build houses and now build $1.5M+ homes with some exceeding $3M. some of which are stunningly beautiful. others of which are grotesque (looking at you joseph bros (who are not in AIC i don't think)). -
his assumptions include a Texas win over A&M. knowing they will shit the bed against us, no they don't control their own destiny.
-
so wait, A&M is having their best year in nearly 100 years and Texas can still keep them out of the SECX3 championship game? I get they are in the playoffs but I could see them getting bounced by the second round easily if not the first. that would be FUCKING amazing.

I know folks in AIC, they are white knuckled right now. they will say yes to anything if it means a deal, but in reality they don't really care about affordability unless you're talking about buyer's being able to afford the prices the infill zip codes require. the lucky ones are on the sidelines, the ones that have to make a living building are getting their asses handed to them. some are successful still, others success is measured by shrinking down and surviving. that may sound like a cynical view or a critique of them, it's not. they have no ability to move the market and they are at the mercy of the worst real estate down turn in austin since 1986-1987. problems like housing affordability have so many negative inputs, that it will take dozens of positive inputs to make a dent. -
I don't prefer melatonin at all. I think it works mostly on circadian rhythms and if they aren't too jacked up then I'm not sure the benefit. I know research shows it helps you fall asleep and helps you stay asleep, so maybe there's something to that, but I don't really have a major sleep issue so I don't know. people love it so don't listen to me on its effectivness. assuming it's a good supp for general sleep issues, all of the sleep aids, melatonin included should be cycled on and off. when I'm in a really bad way I use valerian root, kava extract (pure noble strain), or a supplement that has Taurine, L-Theanine, L-Glycine, 5-HTP, L-Glutamine, Vit C (insubstantial), Vit B6, 3mg of melatonin (and a small dose of essential amino acids). Those combined ingredients are foundational to good sleep. The traditional sleep hygiene stuff doesn't really help with light sleep, easily awakened, but you gotta do that too. being physically worn out but not distractedly sore from exercise is my best bet too. not eating heavy or late is a big one too. I'd have no problem with 3mg or less of melatonin provided I cycled it on and off with a good month off before trying again. but that's just me. The thing about the increase in heart failure is isolated - sleep problems alone have that problem too. but then add all the things you do to reduce those risks. exercise is X% reduction in risk, eating healthy is Y% reduction in risk, drinking less then 4-6 servings of alcohol is Z% reduction in risk, and the list goes on and on. If melatonin truly helps you sleep I'd bet good money its risk for heart failure is counterbalanced by the benefits of your good sleep when you take it - or at least your improved sleep. I wouldn't go above 2-3mg though and one of my doctors told me that, don't remember which one (coulda been my cardiologist).

That was the joke

What seat are they? Probably get their ass kicked if they aren’t highly seated.

Ok that’s kinda what I was thinking. Yeah the soul is evaporating. It’s about money, not scholarships and education, not about student pride and community. More enshitification. The only good news is college sports were so good for so long there’s still plenty left but I bet we have a decade or less before the soul is fully gone, at least when it comes to football.

guilty pleasure, even if it's bad TV at times.
