Redhead.

We learned this this summer, as we had our second kid, who has reddish hair, and had to have heart surgery, and the director for anesthesia at Dell Children’s was the Doc keeping him under said the same thing, and that it was very common for redheads to have a crazy high tolerance for knock out meds.

I am a soulless ginger so that tracks.

We went to my wife's follow up appointment, got the pathology reports. All clear, they got all of it out during surgery (not that there was much to take out). Also the lymph nodes were clear, nothing to see there. No chemo, no radiation. We will have a visit with the oncologist to discuss hormone therapy, but that will be after the reconstruction is done.

I want to feel relieved but I can't just yet, this whole thing happened so fast. I think I might be on edge for a while.
