  1. He’s a cheater. Always has been. That inherently makes him a hypocrite. He’s just doing the predictable shit we said he would when NIL opened up. The game got more fierce and he didn’t have the financial wherewithal to continue winning a game that was now open. So he quit and begged everyone to help him figure out some way to out the toothpaste back in the tube. You can shill for him all you like, but it’s going to fall on deaf ears. Fuck that guy and everything he represents.
  2. I never heard anything about him beating women, so, yeah. If you knew better, good for you. It’s our currency here, for better or worse. You come across as dumber than a sack of hammers, so of course that would be irrelevant to you and congrats. Often wrong, but never in doubt.
  3. What is funny about it to you? Do you lack the ability to grasp that people have opinions, as snapshots in time, that can change when new data is presented? Is it due to that that this wild concept called “learning” seems so amusing to you? Or is there some other comedy we’re all otherwise missing? This kind of idiotic posting nonsense has been around since the dawn of the Internet. It’s always nauseating to witness someone coming up with the “gotcha!” notion like this and thinking they’re in uncharted waters. Get a fucking grip, you Pollyanna twit.
  4. You have a lot of stupid takes on this site and this one is actually one of the dumbest. Punching a woman in the face is egregious. There’s no caveat. Going pro doesn’t wash it away. Equivocate further like that and you deserve to be negbombed.
  5. I want to like the Texans. I've always wanted to like the Texans. Problem is, time and time again, they cannot get out of their own way. Winning or losing, how in the fuck do you make a move for Joe Mixon? He's a known piece of human shit and he's a sooner. Foreman is still unsigned, no? Henry just inked with the Ravens and was available. There were other options. The Texans can't help themselves.
  6. Don’t worry, he can be there to cheer those guys on as well.
  7. He’s already got a recipe for an exit if he wants it. Just take home an Oxford throw-down road whore, choke her and bite her for a bit and then let her drunkenly call the cops. He’ll be in Bloomington by mid-December.
  8. Had it the whole way. Oh, Pancho. Ye of little faith, sir.
  9. As the bracket selection committee gathers in a crowded hotel conference room, the NCAA president hushes the group in order to speak: ”Folks, I know we’ve got some tough decisions to make over the next few hours. Not everyone is going to be happy and some of you might wind up damned near upset. That said, we need to get to it. I just have one caveat that I think we can all agree to as we get underway - Texas A&M cannot make this tournament. I don’t like them and consider them a true threat to upend everything we hold dear if they make it in. “ ”Hear! Hear!” shouts the exuberant crowd in unison.
  10. Are you giving friend advice now, BO&W? Do you think you're qualified to do that?
  11. Some dude posted a link to the weight differences from last year to this year over at OTF: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Bxb5zfOTGbuXkUCVIcAzAWYuA6fItA9O6VTsX9tutbU/edit?pli=1#gid=0 We have 4 guys at 360 or over. That's ridiculous. Sydir Mitchell is not a "good" 372. Sweat could have played with less weight too, so whatever. Red at 240 is disturbing. They are going to have to change the name of Redcat to Redfat.
  12. Someone who would know indicated that it was a freakish kind of lockup with no further ramifications. Do they bench him for OU as a precaution? I can see it, but they're daring the selection committee if they lose to OU.
  13. Yes, but every wolf is at the door on that one. This actually reminds me of another thing. Texas is now having its coat ridden on evaluations. We are basically against all enemies at this point.
  14. My 8th grader got into St. John's! The counselor told me about it last night, early, because he was excited to get him. The boy has been diagnosed with autism and is enduring his third straight year in public junior high of being called the "school retard" and being fucked with in general. He's had his lunch kit and drinking bottle, new versions each time, stolen from him 3 times in the past week. It's been hard for a kid who really loves school and learning but has no idea how to handle many human interactions. Anyway, he tested off the charts for private school and his grades are absurd, so he somehow overcame the interviewing process and got his #1 pick. My wife cried with happiness and relief.
  15. It's getting to a point where, when considering OL, WR, TB, and QB, the logic should just be "who do you want?" From that perspective, the only reason I would "want" someone with Marsh's baggage is because I believed that there was no one else like him. That's not the case on this one. Texas can sign a better group of 3-4 that does not include Marsh or Harris, and still win several key talents from the portal. I say all of that and consider it likely, as part of this process, that some guys will also be gone after this spring or after the 2024 season at WR. Should be fine for all of us paying attention while others handwring because they were convinced that WR Guy was going to be a star and they take his exit personally.
  16. I laid it all out already. It's in the thread somewhere.
  17. He's out on a limb with Harris. I don't want that guy in the class if he is taken at the expense of other big time WRs. While we're at it, I saw that Texas is bringing Marsh in for an OV. I hope that never materializes.
  18. Gerry posted his best class scenario for the week. The link is below. OTF is producing great content. The posters there remind me of the nightmares I encountered on 247 back in the day. Guys posting using their actual names, people making 4-6 consecutive posts as whatever mental diarrhea pours out of their head and onto their keyboard, posters getting really, really sensitive if your tone with them isn't boy scout level straight, and then just dumb concepts posted and debated repeatedly. So, caveat emptor if you follow the link. https://ontexasfootball.com/forums/topic/895-texas-2025-best-class-scenario-march-5-edition/#comment-9942 -I find it interesting that he leaves Faheem Delane out but includes a number of high end OOS guys otherwise. -He clearly thinks the shot is more than there to land Moore or he wouldn't be hammering him in the comments as a viable, difference-making target. -People simply cannot wrap their head around Texas not really pursuing the giant clubfoot at Desoto. There is a juvenile understanding of what elite OLs look like, so the default is "that guy is huge! he must be awesome!" -Davison, Moore, Ffrench, ZWilliams, Shanklin, Brew and JWilliams will all be serious NIL recruitments, to say nothing of the potential for that in a number of other spots. If one of the other schools in any of those goes nuts, it's unlikely that Texas lands them. That's important to remember in the context of who has a robust NIL set-up, like Ohio State or Oregon, versus those who do not, like OU and LSU. If LSU decides they have to have Moore, they're unlikely to land some other guys. And they have to deliver in uncomfortable ways already to sign Underwood. OU can't just toss ridiculous dough at JWilliams without facing real consequences everywhere else. Meanwhile, Texas and OSU likely are likely not interested in a bidding war on anyone, because they'll just hurt each other and strengthen the rest of the field. The Davison recruitment is probably more informative there than the Brew recruitment. OSU already has 2 5 star DBs in the class, so they'd be idiots to try and spike things on Brew.
  19. For someone who claims to watch a lot of Michigan football, you should at least have a clue about their schedule. Michigan played Maryland ... wait for it ... after the Penn State game. You fucking shill. The guy's performance, and the program's decision to take the ball out of his hands during that key second half against PSU, had zero to do with Maryland, or a fucking injury from the Maryland game. Your entire premise in this prior post is pathetically incorrect. Even for a clown like you, that shit is hard to do. Negged. And shut the fuck up with the weak defending of your imaginary lover, JJ McCarthy. You can't do anything with the facts so now you're either turning to fantasy or gaslighting, neither of which the rest of us are interested in seeing clog up this thread.
  20. This thread keeps getting dumber and dumber. I hope many of you get kicked in the nuts this weekend.
  21. One does their own thing and has no need to go anywhere unless they’re bored and hate money. The other has had a ton of inquiries and isn’t interested in doing anything right now and can afford not to do so. They’re as worn out as one could be after that ride.
  22. I don't understand the question. The NCAA has backed off all NIL related investigations. It's open season. You could steal city hall. It's the wild west. Texas isn't going to do anything stupid or out of whack with its own ethos, but anyone worried about the wherewithal of the NCAA at this point hasn't been paying attention.
  23. You lamented not having something specific for the DL in prior cycles. I responded stating that Sarkisian could have had whatever he needed for DLs and that he wasn't making it a specific point of emphasis, so lamenting not having anything for DLs is pointless.
  24. While I wouldn't put a ton of stock into what I previously posted, I did post a class guess with some information behind it. To Bevo's points, however, there is still a ton of churning going on at this point in the cycle. Once spring evaluations are finished and various groups of players have visited, we'll have a much better understanding of where this class is headed, and how it shakes out compared to other schools nationally. I wouldn't say that in-state players are limiting the upside in this class at most positions. It's a pretty loaded 2025 class in Texas. There are high-end talents at OT, WR, TE, DE, LB, and CB in Texas this year. Our expectation should be that this class is a solidly top 5 class, if not higher. Rankings stupidity *could* limit that but I doubt it. Is that entitlement to have that expectation? No. Here are my thoughts on why Texas should finish no worse than top 5. 1) You are Texas and this is the most fertile recruiting territory anywhere. No class should ever be out of the top 10 unless it is a transition class. 2) You have an NIL war machine. 3) You played in the playoffs. 4) You are now clearly putting players in the NFL. 5) SEC 6) Excellent in-state class this cycle. 7) Sarkisian's offense. Texas is going to get whoever they want at OL, TB, and WR. That, in and of itself, is a hell of a start.
  25. Alabama/Saban hype, great measurables, willingness to be aggressiveness in the running game. Those are things they're valuing him for, never minding the premise that he can't cover for shit and will get roasted repeatedly in the passing game. It's good that that shit isn't important at CB though. I think Arnold is going to be the biggest bust of the non-QBs taken in the first round. That's a really weird take for one of the draft gurus. It's almost like he's reading this board and copying our idiotic shit. Seriously, I think he's the only guy seeing McCarthy straight in this draft cycle.
