  1. Old people bones lose density though. That knocks off a few pounds. A normal brain weighs 3 pounds too. Trump doesn't have one.
  2. You sound like a poor. Most of surly weighs in at 270 too, but they are also 6'6", built like Dwayne Johnson, and can take out a navy seal team single handedly while never spilling their scotch.
  3. Agree. And in a perfect world, in several years when the dust settles, the Dems will be led by the progressive wing and the GOP will be led by the current moderate GOP/Dems. During all the polarization and animosity, I think there has also been a quiet somewhat unified middle forming. And that middle is formed by moderate Dems and former moderate Republicans who are finding out they are largely the same even while they used to believe they had irreconcilable differences.
  4. Hurley was a baller. He, like Petrovic in the same damn year, should have worn a seatbelt. Petrovic got it worse, of course, but Hurley's career was still killed.
  5. Nah. That's the flag for the 13 Eastern states that leave Trumperica and form a new union which adopts roughly the same Constitution except ditches the electoral college. That lady, and Trump, will be down in Montgomery. They already have a flag. It isn't that one. They also won't be using any of our current Constitution. Freedom of religion? No chance. 2nd amendment gone as well because again, freedom of religion, no chance. Can't have the witches fighting back on their way to the stake. Plus, the Constitution doesn't explicitly forbid ethnic discrimination and even allows for it, but they are going to want discrimination directly codified.
  6. It will be matched by Todd. Duh. Personally, I just donate straight to Trump at Mar a Lago with cash payments hidden among his daily McDonald's deliveries. Our king shouldn't have to do the tax dodging work. If you really care about your king, you'd do the work for him. Donate directly and via hard to track means. Only 70% of Trump campaign donations go directly into Trump's pockets. You can do better.
  7. China has never not been authoritarian. Chinese imperial rule ended in 1912 after 4000 years. Technically, the republic existed from 1912-1949. Realistically though, it was never fully unified or functioning. Civil war was ongoing, then the Japanese invaded, then civil war again. The Republic of China gov't that we now see in Taiwan was pretty authoritarian itself and Taiwan was under martial law and single party rule until 1987 as well.
  8. Sorry Mrs. Pippen. Your son was a good player too.
  9. If its that low, then Trump has been giving taxpayers a discounted rate. That seems doubtful to me.
  10. The Bulls were markedly worse in 94-95 before Jordan came back. 34-31 without Jordan, and 13-4 with him. That kind of team performance puts Pippen in Mark Price territory. While that Bulls roster was terrible and not really built for Pippen to lead, it was more or less the same roster from 93-94 so there was considerable regression. As a 2nd option, Pippen may have been the greatest of all time, but when you talk about the best overall players of all time, you are usually talking about players who spent a lot of years as the best player on their team. On the Blazers, he was maybe the 4th best player. That team was pretty stacked.
  11. Yeah, Soros never had enough money for all of it. Plus, he is 89 years old. They needed a funding source to jump right in on NWO projects once he dies. Gates is the perfect bogeyman. He is the biggest philanthropist in the world so he already puts his money into the type of good public health and education causes that are hated by the aggy type. He also takes shits that are richer than Soros, so he could actually fully fund some of the nutso things conspiracy theorists believe Soros has been doing.
  12. I have a 6 year old in outright revolt against online school and zoom friend meetups, so I get it. We have expanded our circle to include another couple of families so that the kids can play together and so can the adults. And that mostly consists of picnics and things like that, and not going to each others houses. But we have known them for years, and we all first did the month in isolation and continue to isolate from others. But I also know others who get panicky at the thought of it. You can't throw a football back and forth! It could get on your hands! But that comes from people who have been in near total isolation since mid March which can drive up the anxiety. Its different from your situation since you're new there. I would have some concerns about the whole neighborhood being in the "circle", and also about not knowing them well enough to know whether they have otherwise been maintaining social distance. I'm also in the biggest hot zone, fwiw. I know a lot of people that have had it, and have a lot of friends with family members that have died from it.
  13. This. Trump is easily the most nepotistic President in the history of the USA. He is also more tied to Russia than any US President since before the USSR was founded. The sad thing is that all this nonsense will work. Americans are mostly idiots, so Alvin89 is gonna make a few thousand rubles, and Putin is going to get the weak or dissolved USA he wants.
  14. They investigated him without telling him first, and without already having enough evidence to convict him of a crime. If you watch CSI:Miami like Trump and Anastasis do, then you would know that the FBI is not allowed to investigate anything prior to already having 100% of all the proof they need to convict. And you'd also know that they have to tell people that they are under investigation before investigating them. Its also why Anastasis asks hookers if they are a cop before he offers them money for sex. Cops have to say they are cops, you know.
  15. Its kind of crazy that they haven't leaked. The IRS has 75,000 employees. There are probably 10,000 or so that would be able to access his records. And thats just the IRS. There are probably more than a few pissed off unpaid shady accountants and lawyers that have them as well.
  16. Cloth is just as good as those as long as it has enough layers. In NYC, I use a washable cloth one for being outside, and an N95 for the grocery store. I have some surgical masks too, but don't really use them. With any of them, you need to steer clear of people without masks. Even though you are courteously keeping your germs to yourself, they are still inconsiderately spewing their germs toward you.
  17. In most years, the leading cause of death in Japan is Godzilla.
  18. What is the standard for determining whether a reasonable person making a citizen's arrest has reason to believe they are arresting someone that has committed a felony? Arresting someone on a known existing warrant and arresting someone caught directly in the act seem to be reasonable. Arresting a person based on their ethnicity because someone of their same ethnicity may have done something prior. That's never reasonable, IMO. Let's say they don't kill him and instead handcuff him and take him to the station. Does he have a case for unlawful imprisonment or kidnapping. Also, as an innocent person who has not committed a felony, he has no reason to believe that they are acting lawfully. A reasonable person in his situation will always assume they are there to kill or kidnap him and will act in self defense accordingly. Much like self defense law, citizen's arrest law needs to be reeled in. Mistake of fact should never be acceptable in either case.
  19. Crazily, that sailor survived with relatively minor injuries.
  20. Why would a team play a spread out 3 point system they aren't built for? They'd play an inside out game based on Hakeem and Duncan's post play. Their biggest problem would probably be Kobe refusing to feed them the ball, but I'm making the assumption that everyone is playing to win and not to keep their scoring average up. I'd argue that team 2 isn't built for a spread out 3 point system either. And I assume its prime for everyone. We've seen prime Hakeem guard prime Shaq, and we've seen the reverse of that. Shaq scores some points, but you forget that Hakeem was absolutely unstoppable. In his prime years, there is nobody in the history of the league that could stop him. And LBJ does pretty well against KD. Head to head, they both score 28.9 per game, but LBJ is better in rebounds, steals, and assists. KD is slightly better in blocks. Duncan/Dirk head to head is similar. Almost identical scoring and Duncan leads in every other category except steals. Duncan and Dirk have played each other 90 times, but didn't always guard one another. Kobe and MJ never played any prime games against one another, and I'm no Kobe fan, but he was 9 time all-defensive first team. I think he'd be able to keep Jordan under his season average for scoring. I also think Jordan would shut Kobe down overall, but would also be forced to collapse down on Hakeem and Duncan leaving Kobe open from 3. As for the open 3 pointer, prime LBJ hits about 37%, which is better than prime Kobe's 35%. Fat Magic shot 35% from 3, but prime Magic wasn't that great from 3. On team 2, KD prime is a 40% shooter, Dirk too although in his best years he didn't really attempt that many. Stockton shot about 45% in his best year. But if they are doing that, they are taking the ball out of Jordan's hands. And while team 1 needs to run the offense through Hakeem, team 2 needs to run it through Jordan which won't be the free wheeling offenses that Dirk and KD play better in. Either way, they will hit more 3s, but they are still going to miss 6/10 of them, they'll get wrecked on the boards, and they'll be unable to stop the other team from high percentage scoring in the paint. But yeah, they could get hot from 3 and win a game. They could also go ice cold and get blown out. The inside game of team 1 is going to be more consistent. Also if they are playing under current defensive rules, Hakeem and Shaq are going to be at the line nearly every possession. Hakeem wins that FT matchup easily. I guess nobody is allowed to foul out though.
  21. How is it only 3 years? I don't recall there being any break at all between the 2016 campaign and the 2020 one. I figured they just changed the sign on the door on election day and kept on going. I'm sure Trump is embezzling a significant portion of it, and probably also using it to illegally shelter other income from taxes. Trump doesn't pay bills because he doesn't have to. It isn't usually about whether he has the funds or not. "The Art of the Deal" is entirely about sticking it to the other guy. Venues and vendors make a huge mistake by providing services to Trump on credit. Nobody should do any work for his companies or campaign unless they are paid in full up front.
  22. He picked Dirk, KD, LBJ, and Duncan over Bird. Stockton is a PG. Also, if Shaq made the picks it makes sense. He has never played with or against Bird. He barely played with or against Magic, but they got to know each other in LA. He has played with or against all the rest. I think the Stockton pick comes from his experience in the 98 Western Conf Finals. Laker guards were all shut down in the sweep. Stockton was pretty good against them. Malone was an absolute beast though. Lakers had nobody that could guard him. If I was Shaq, I would have picked Gary Payton over him probably.
  23. All this plus reinstate the fairness doctrine. And increase the number of representatives. 100,000 constituents each.
  24. Other than MJ, nobody else on the bottom team is guarding anyone on the top team effectively. Most of them have considerable experience against the guy guarding them too, so it isnt really a multi era comparison. Head to head Hakeem > Shaq Duncan > Dirk Lebron > KD Kobe < MJ Magic > Stockton Who refs makes a difference too. 80/90s refs or today's refs? Stockton is the 2nd best defender on that team with 90s refs. Zone D allowed? Doesn't matter really though. Blow out, but Jordan scores 40 in the loss. Also, y'all are underselling Stockton as a Jordan team member. He is probably the perfect PG for team Jordan. Still, they are getting swept.
  25. Yeah, thats where I'm at although I havent seen any of the video yet with broken links. Anyone that suggests otherwise has never really felt a real fight or flight situation. It all happens instantaneously. You only get to second guess bad decisions later if you're lucky.
