  1. Pic. There are hooks on each side for cables.
  2. I agree with PedalTrain. I bought a two-tiered Holey Board and really thought I would like it. It turned out to be a huge PITA when I had to move it to practice or to go play. Plus, the holes aren't big enough to run cables through an while it might sound OK to use zip ties to hold down cables instead of velcro, it is not. HUGE PITA. Looks bad and it just isn't easy to do. I still have it and am thinking about making it a permanent board in my basement, but it will never leave the house. I now just use a Nano+ and it completely fits my needs. I have one pedal I swap out, depending on which group I'm playing with but the other 4 stay consistent. I also built a rack cabinet with 2 power supplies, a slide out table for pedals and a drawer for supplies. I put that Nano+ on top so I don't have to squat down to adjust things. Also, my interface sits on top. That cabinet is probably the smartest thing I've done. I'll post a picture a bit later. I would like to find that same Gator case that @tbone_ has. Right now my mixer is on a stand-alone stand and I'm really not happy with that set up.
  3. I had never noticed this. Great catch. I started looking up live version and in some of them, in the line before "it can't all be wedding cake" he sings horribly off key.....has to be on purpose to match the sentiment of the line. Brilliant stuff.
  4. Sadly.....no. She is from Omaha and the only thing that happens there is three CWS and Warren Buffett's big shindig. That is the extent of her sports knowledge, outside the fact that ou sucks. And, to her credit, when she started to repeat it, she said, "oh.....never mind"
  5. Her:. Why aren't they playing this college world series in Omaha? Me- College plays baseball in the spring. This is the pros. Her:. So where do they play the college world series for the pros?
  6. Oh mommmaaaaaaa.
  7. This podcast is done by one of the counselors from where I went to treatment. He started this after I was released. I get a lot out of it, but that may be a factor of my previous relationship with him and how much he helped me during and after my time there. One of my roommates said, "He is a cross between a trial attorney and an old school preacher". https://anchor.fm/john-clark59
  8. Dammit Bogey...I have work I have to get done today.
  9. I read that article when it came out. Also added in to the cost of that is all of the time he had to put in to it. I can't imagine the cluster-fuck of phone calls to and from China, then trying to locate it after it shipped, then arrangement more shipping to get it close to you.
  10. I really want need a new acoustic. I'm wanting to try out those new Epi 'Inspired by Gibson' guitars. I've watched every review and although I really want a Gibson, I just can't afford it right now. Looking mostly at the J45, although I really dig those Hummingbirds. Also, I'm about to head back to Carter's and Gruhn's to see if I can find maybe a D18. Only probably with that is the fucking sales tax adds 9.25% to the price. So, to the Which Guitar? D28 all the way.
  11. Good lord, his "Stealing Fire" album is so good. I bought it the moment I heard this: This was before "Rocket Launcher" took off. I saw T-Bone Burnett one night and followed a group from there and ended up at some house in Atlanta where Cockburn and Shawn Colvin were hanging out after one of their shows the same night, sitting on a porch with guitars.
  12. On Earth Wind and Fire, "September", there is a GREAT episode of Strong Songs. He also does one on ELO's "Mr. Blue Sky". https://strongsongspodcast.com/
  13. I bought that album as soon as I heard her voice. Instantly reminded me of Joan Armatrading. What a talent.
  14. Ha. Yep....plus, it is actually based on a true story. I have an embarrassing amount of knowledge on Canadian bands from the 80/90s. Blue Rodeo, Skydiggers/L'Etreanger/Andrew Cash/Cash Brothers, Tom Cochrane, Grapes of Wrath, Tragically Hip.
  15. Good lord, I forgot she did this. The balls it took to walk out on that stage with just a guitar. That entire debut record was fantastic.
  16. Good lord, I LOVED that record.
  17. His 1991 one, The American In Me is so fucking good. Probably in my Top 25 of all time. In the late 90s I saw him and the house music was a soundtrack from "Across The Universe". Ol' Steve went on multiple rants about all of the good music out today, but this places chose to play music by some obscure band called "The Beatles" . When I say multiple, I mean after every 3rd song. It was comical but he was not at all pleased by it. He is still a fantastic songwriter.
  18. If a person cares enough about something, they will make things happen.
  19. This guy has some cool t-shirts and hats based on the same thing. Great customer service, good quality products. Based in Dallas. https://www.rage-free.com/shirts Home page: https://www.rage-free.com
  20. This is the band that first came to my mind. 4 really good dudes from a really good debut album, then got absolutely fucked the their record label and horrible timing.
  21. I put Tommy Tutone and Fountains of Wayne in the same category. They may have had only one song that was on the radio but both are FANTASTIC writers of pop songs, especially Fountains of Wayne. Just a fantastic band. And Tommy Tutone? Two GREAT songs from their debut album. I wish some drummer could explain the counting on the snare hits...if he is counting
  22. @AnotherUTFan I LOVE that cover artwork. I'll be sending you some contact info that we talked about before. The guy has a podcast called The Bottom Forty but he also has a record label based out of Portland.
  23. I got drunk with her on tequila at a bar in Tuscaloosa around 91. I may have asked her to marry me about 2 hours into that drinking session. Took me a week to recover.
