  2. I believe he and Sinema support the bill but have said they will not change the rules to pass it.
  3. Yes. Yes we do. Let every purple state democrat go on record.
  4. Republicans oppose federalizing elections. They oppose bringing back VRA's pre-clearance that SCOTUS struck down in 2013. They oppose a universal election day national holiday and requiring at least two weeks of early voting. Oppose universal no excuse mail in voting. Oppose limits on purging voting rolls, limits on voter ID, and allowing felons to vote. I am sure there are other things the GOP opposes in the bills. I have not studied the entire 735 page bill.
  5. He can Cadillac a homer like no one I have ever seen.
  6. I have a Title VII case involving one right now. Basically they have a technical background that allows them to go to a customer and customize what product they need (in my case it is network IT stuff).
  7. I like getting Senators on record on the filibuster. Need Tester and Kelly to vote in favor of this instead of relying on cover from Manchin and Sinema. Won't play well in Montana or Arizona.
  8. The USA would be wealthier today if slavery never existed here. The 1619 Project states otherwise.
  9. Don’t project your white leftist racism on me. Going to the ranch Thursday. Four white guys and one black. All Texas grads.
  10. Abolitionists argued slavery was a net negative to the economy and wealth in America. Racists argued the opposite.
  11. This is racist. You son of a bitch. I could say the sky is blue and these cloaktards would disagree and insult me.
  12. Is the Stanford economics historian cited good enough for you?

  14. That’s in dispute. Especially when you net out the costs and destruction of the civil war. I’ve seen historians clearly argue slavery was a net negative economically to the USA and the south.
  15. Yes I do. But why don't you explain what it is for me. Start with getting past the strawman that those who object to the 1619 project is not an objection to teaching about the evils of slavery. It is much more. It suggests that slavery was somehow unique to the US. Ignores that the US and Britain (with their navies) ended the global slave trade in the early 1800s. Does not recognize how slavery was everywhere up until the last few centuries and wants to pretend it was somehow unique to America. Argues that America was founded on slavery/ slavery was the primary cause of the revolutionary war. That everything that makes America exceptional was due to slavery. That slavery resulted in most of the early American wealth. It is complete horseshit. Plenty of historians, many of whom are liberal, have shit on this joke.
  16. Voting has never been easier today than anytime in our history.
  17. It's wonderful that paternalistic white liberals help the people they think are inferior and incapable of figuring out how to vote. They'd never manage without you.
