  1. We really need two from the following list to become a dependable MLB caliber players ala Pena or Diaz. Whitcomb, Dezenzo, Melton, and Matthews.
  2. This is exactly the same scenario. Let's see if Crane learned anything from McLane. If he did, trading Tucker and Framber would be the correct action.
  3. The problem with that is that Tucker and Framber suck in the playoffs. We now have multiple years of data.
  4. We had Bregman signed to a long term deal. Also, it's different to let a 27 year old in his prime walk compared to a 30 year old showing obvious signs of decline.
  5. Anyone thinking our skill position players that get significant playing time will leave are morons.
  6. This is correct. I don't hate Deion, I just think he is an idoit that talks too much shit for a coach that is 8-9 for his career in the FBS, and if anyone questions his shitty coaching and program building skills they are immediately labeled a hater. You need to be made of teflon when you coach at the P4 level instead he lashes out at reporters and bans them.
  7. Resgin Kikuchi. Trade Tucker, Pressly, and Framber Offer Bregman a QO and let him walk, because 30 year old unathletic 3B on the downsides of their career aren't in high demand. Returning pitchers from injury - Garcia, Urquidy, Javier, "McCullers", and Murfee FA - Verlander, Graveman, Heyward, Neris, Ferguson, Gamel I would target the Lowes in TBR Brandon is under team control for two more seasons with TO at $10.5M and $11.5M respectively, he plays LF Josh has 4 years of team control and is the new RF Go sign one of the vet 1Bs like Goldschmidt to a 2-year with both PO and TO on the 2nd year. Lineup is Lowe - LF Altuve - 2B Alvarez - DH Diaz - C Lowe - RF Goldschmidt - 1B Pena - SS McCormick - CF Dezenzo - 3B Bench - Caratini, Singleton, Dubon, the 13th spot goes to Leon or Whitcomb Rotation Brown, Kikuchi, Blanco, Arighetti, (Garcia, Javier, Urquidy, and Blubaugh) Bullpen CL - Hader 8 - Abreu MID - Whitley, Scott, King, Ort, Murfee LR - One of the guys that didn't take the 5th spot in the rotation.
  8. It was likely Hilson and we have one more Hi from back in the summer which is Terry.
  9. Similar move to when Dierker put in Mike Jackson in the 8th inning in game 1 in the 2001 NLDS.
  10. Yet most of his acquisitions worked out. Montero, Abreu, and Hader were all Crane acquisitions, two of which were on the team before Brown got the job. Brown should get a chance to clean up the mess Crane and the HOF cabal made in the last 2 off-seasons. Resigning Kikuchi should be item #1 in the offseason.
  11. It was the microcosm of the entire season. Having to depend on subs players and watching your manager piss away late inning situations by using the same people that failed him all season.
  12. Shitty managers also put pitchers into game situations they have failed at all season in playoff games and sit around waiting for a 3-run HR that isn't coming. Espada promised before the season that he would be more active with bunting, stealing, and hit and running. None of it happened with any real frequency which is why the Astros were so horrible in 1-run games and could barely scratch across 3 runs in the series, all coming in innings where the bunt was used.
  13. Hinch was a cheater and while being better than Espada, who isn't, wasn't some savant either. His shitty management cost us a WS and the 2015 ALDS.
  14. The only reason we made it this year was the AL West was the worst division in baseball. Crane needs a complete reset from the HOF cabal down to every coach and medical personnel.
  15. Fucking laughing at everyone that say managers have zero relationship to outcomes in baseball.
  16. Win or loss today, this team needs serious help in the offseason on offense starting with new coaches.
  17. Incoming 3 run HR.
  18. We have no one hot at all right now.
  19. Had no idea that Mookie Cooper was still playing college football and playing it at Missouri.
  20. I thought for sure we were getting Abreu, Pressly, and Hader down 3 runs. Thankfully Garcia pitched well enough to get Espada off that idea. The problem though is we have a lineup with no one hot and is easy to pitch to because they are coached to pull everything and have poor strike zone judgement. Altuve, Pena, Bregman, and Alvarez all had worse walk rates from the previous season, only Tucker improved from last year.
  21. Back to back horrible ABs. We have no plan at all.
  22. Framber now bitching about strike calls. He has no idea where the ball is going.
  23. Cuurently he's trying to wrestle.
  24. Nice effort from Dubon with 2 outs. really nice of him to watch the blooper the entire way.
