  1. If Correa doesn't hit a HR in his 1st PA this trade will be a loser.
  2. SiriusXM is saying the Astros and Padres are working on a deal for Cease.
  3. Don't overlook cash considerations.
  4. We better be gviing up Walker, because that helps with the money and allows Urias to play 1B.
  5. 27 year old OF with the Marlins, he's a better Trammell, but can only play the corner OF spots.
  6. We got a quality MLB player for a nothing pitcher. You can make other deals like that. Tauchman would probably cost the same. He would instantly be an upgrade to the OF. Pena, Tauchman, Altuve, Walker, Smith, Diaz, Caratini/Trammel, Urias, Dubon isn't terrible if we get some health in the pitching staff. I'd also try to raid the Pirates for Santana and Rogers out of the bullpen. A bullpen of Souza, King, Okert, Rogers, Hader, Abreu, and Santana wouldn't suck either. Maybe Dubin comes back soon as well.
  7. Dude, call it a season, get the surgery, and come back healthy to start next season. And lose some fucking weight.
  8. Clifford is 21 years old and has a .863 OPS in AA. His career OPS in the minors is .833, he doesn't suck. Gilbert is 24 and has a .811 OPS in the minors this season. I'd rather give him playing time instead of fucking Cooper Hummel.
  9. This is the same guy that added Abreu and Walker and cost his team millions and mulitple draft choices. He also could have resigned Verlander, and instead let him sign with the Mets and then traded two really good prospects to reaquire him. Since Crane fired Luhnow and started putting his thumb more on the scale, the Astros have returned to the ways of Drayton McLane.
  10. Correct, and the depth at IDL is easily 6 deep, but they said Terry is going to be used inside on passing downs.
  11. Sarkisian's ability to identify coaching talent is at the same level as his ability to identity player talent.
  12. Short can play on my team. He understands how to bunt.
  13. Whitcomb should be bunting.
  14. There were runners on 1st and 3rd.
  15. Lulz, Robert Ford. "The good news is, Woods is not the tying run." I think Robert posts on this thread.
  16. Toronto is desperate for bullpen, try to get Loperfido back for Okert.
  17. He hasn't shown much in his 3 MiLB starts to show he's back to 2022 form. Getting anything useful from a guy in year one post TJ is a very rare occurrence.
  18. The pitching doesn't matter when the offense can't score runs. You are assuming a lot when you are expecting guys coming off significant injuries just automatically return to the lineup without any issues, especially with this training and coaching staff. We are now the division leader with the worst record in baseball. We are only 3.5 games away from missing the playoffs. We are 1-10 in our last 11 home games and 5-12 since sweeping the Dodgers. This isn't a team you commit future assets to make better.
  19. We just lost to two of the worst teams in baseball where both of those guys gave up 1 run in their starts.
  20. He'd also have to leave The Woodlands, that is a lot of commitment.
  21. He's right. That alignment was horrible.
  22. Then lose Valdez in the off-season for a single draft pick. They need to be serious about where this team is and trade him.
  23. I mean what do you guys expect. Victor Caratini is batting 3rd. In no way does a serious team bat Cararini 3rd. Fuck, he wouldn't have batted 3rd on the 2013 Astros.
