  1. As someone who’s team won 2 games because of it, I couldn’t disagree more.
  2. So that’s why they weren’t punting
  3. A reminder that anyone cheering for OU clearly hates America
  4. This game was a testament to how wrong the anti-bowl crowd is. Why would you want this to go away?
  5. Did the Toledo guy just do "HOLD MA DIIIIIIIIIIIIIICK"?
  6. I had forgotten you guys were 7-0 going into SMU. I've been a part of some similar collapses myself (2002 at the top of the list) and it just sucks.
  7. Toledo's coach was Campbell's right man before he came to ISU. I'm seeing all the little quirks of Campbell's that piss me off in him. Bad special teams play being at the top of the list.
  8. Mad respect for what he's done there. They fuckin' mauled us in the Sweet 16 a few years back.
  9. Most fans of Big 12 schools hate Locked on Big 12. It's a god damn clown show, and Drake Toll is an absolute moron.
  10. Yes. Majority of the work force in swine and construction, both of which are pretty massive here. And this place is run and almost entirely staffed by the same Mexican family.
  11. Fine for Iowa. It’s nothing special but it hits the spot and I’m glad to have it.
  12. Left over pulled pork, smoked queso, salsa from local Mexican place, japs. Xmas nacho
  13. Man, I have a sudden urge for an off-brand 7 UP from a fountain in a small town drive through circa 1994.
  14. Slow day in the office. Caught up on year end stuff. Most employees taking the week off. I'm in.
  15. I wonder his thoughts about when people are tried by jury and convicted of felonies.
  16. Every single pre-season LB starter ended up missing the vast majority of the season, which is why our run defense was shit. The backups started putting it together and really limited KSU in Farmageddon, which made me optimistic about stopping Skattebo. Obviously that was misplaced. Campbell plays those cards because that's who he is. It's also the reason a school like ISU is the perfect home for him. He wouldn't relate to 5 star talent kids for shit, and wouldn't fit into blue blood culture in any way, shape or form. He'd be a disaster at the level, and I think he knows that.
  17. I had nothing to say. I already knew I wasn't getting laid yesterday by that point. My goal is to make up for it tomorrow night getting all of my daughter's toys assembled after she goes to bed.
  18. I think it has more to do with being in Jerry World and seeing them live in their best effort of the year vs pure conference affiliation. 3 star Matt Campbell try hards have a hard ceiling, but they did beat some pretty good OU and UT squads over the years, and hung reasonably well against a Texas team of similar talent level to this one a year ago. Texas (and OU for that matter) never whipped a Matt Campbell try hard team as soundly ASU just did. I'm in no way predicting that ASU even makes this a game, really. I just don't agree that they're the worst team in the playoff, and there are some concrete examples to back up that opinion - not just pure bias (and obviously I'm biased). Clemson absolutely has more on-paper talent than ASU, but outside of truly elite talent (which Clemson doesn't have) you regularly see better coached teams win against more talented ones. I can't see ASU dropping a home game to Louisville like Clemson did. ASU has one bad loss, and it was a road game without their QB.
  19. They would likely beat both ACC teams and Boise, and I'd take them over Indiana and Tennessee. Texas is absolutely the better team and should be heavily favored, but ASU is not the worst team in the entire playoff. I would be very surprised if they didn't play Texas closer than Clemson did.
  20. Had Xmas at my mom's yesterday. Watching the Vikings game, and I cuss at something going wrong and immediately apologize for cussing in front of my 9 year old nephew and 5 year old niece. My brother goes "no big deal. Every time you swear, Nephew is allowed to say that word too." About 10 minutes later Seattle takes the lead and I instinctively go "SHIT". Nephew (at top of his lungs): "SHIIIIIT" Niece (excitedly): "Can I say 'shit' too????" My wife: death dagger gaze
  21. They don't sell it here. It's an exotic treat.
