  1. Yeah, I've never understood why anyone would pay a bunch of money to go to a concert and talk. If some dude's playing guitar in the corner of a bar for ambiance? That's different. But an actual concert? The fuck's wrong with you.
  2. I probably drink more seltzer water than any other beverage. It's all straight up crack to me. Topo is among the best, but far and away the priciest other than the European stuff.
  3. Although I grew up with the Stones always around, the only album my old man had in CD format (his preferred format in my memory span) was Let It Bleed. I knew and loved every note of that album, plus all the radio hits, but never actively started listening to the rest of the Stones' catalog until I was 18 and started moving past music being made FOR younger people. "Wild Horses" blew me away on the first listen and has remained my favorite song of all time ever since. I don't know I had avoided it in the first 18 years of my life, but whatever. When my wife and I got married, she walked down the aisle to it. It always moves me. What they did in that period is the absolute pinnacle of rock and roll, full stop.
  4. My wife diligently tracked this until she went back to work and then all of a sudden it was all "who cares? Kid's fuckin' fine."
  5. It absolutely is. And it’s probably their 3rd best album
  6. The timeline for this is awful for me. Every western Midwest show is either during harvest, or on a weekend I have previous commitments. This should be an absolute blast if you can go though.
  7. His role as George Sr.'s translator on Arrested Development was incredible as well.
  8. If ensuring making a summit is important, you need to start early. Not everyone views it that way. I did when I was younger, but now I'm more in your camp.
  9. Definitely not where I expected him to land, but I think he'll do very well there.
  10. WVU hit a home run with DeVries. Really thought he’d be more interested in OK State.
  11. Last year’s Pitt game redux
  12. I would argue right now. Late fall is probably great too.
  13. Duke and Kansas aren’t getting into the Big 10 or SEC or they’d already be there.
  14. The Big 12 is a better option than what the ACC will be though. Is it settling when it’s your only option? Miami just isn’t a top tier brand anymore. It’s Nebraska with a sexier media market and a fraction of the actual eyeballs/fans.
  15. The ACC leftovers that actually care about sports will merge with us in a “best of the rest” conference that should be entertaining in football and elite in hoops
  16. Nice morning at Hobbs State Park (between Rogers and Eureka)
  17. It’s great. Possibly a tad overrated, but overrated in the way the Beatles are. When all you hear is how it’s paradise, it’s put on an almost impossible to meet pedestal. The trails are phenomenal, but something about the town felt a little brittle or like it was fed through a corporate focus group. I prefer Eureka Springs, which is where we’re staying. They have some excellent trails too.
  18. We didn’t, but I was in Bentonville yesterday.
  19. Anyone can leave at anytime. I do really think TJ wants to make ISU a powerhouse. It hasn’t exactly gone great for the other guys who left due to success. Weirdly, the most successful post-ISU career has been McDermott who was staring down a complete fan revolt when he pulled the rip cord to Creighton which has been a remarkable success for all parties involved.
  20. Back 40 was an ass kicker. Hobbs tomorrow
  21. Boynton was an assistant hired to keep a recruiting class together. He exceeded expectations early and everyone liked him so it bought him time. It was not some well thought out hire.
  22. He’s a scum bag and you’ll hate him. He’s the only guy both Cyclone and Hawkeye fans mutually loathe. His return to Hilton will be absolute comedy.
  23. I was dying during that
