The loudest they cheered the whole game was when Mateer trotted out for the first offensive play after the kickoff. Everything after that was subdued.
Also, the OU side is the southside of the Cotton Bowl. Just saying.
Read Livesuit. It adds a ton of nuance and background, and makes the "Great Enemy" and the Swarm a lot more fulfilling. I re-read TMOG after Livesuit and picked up on a bunch of things that hadn't seen important on first read.
I also started listening to a podcast about the series call "The Mercy of The Pods," and I really like it. The two hosts are very funny, and they also get into the Expanse - which made me re-read that series this summer.

Sucks for me that you’re going to stop the tailgates but I totally understand. My fandom got a LOT more enjoyable about 10-12 years ago when I stopped putting on a tailgate. Much more fun to roll up 2-3 hours ahead of the game instead of 12.
@thunderlounge, you suck at logic and analogies.
Mateer will play again this month (even if he doesn't play against Texas), and will be available for the playoffs if OU makes them. OU losing a game to a top 25 team in a neutral site without their starting QB would be hand waived away if needed.
Jordan Travis literally never played football again after his injury. He was drafted, but never played a down in the NFL and medically retired in April of this year. FSU without him was a different team (see the ACC champ game), and wouldn't have been competitive in the playoffs.
