  1. It is worth noting that the ADL, otherwise known as the most prominent and powerful Israeli lobby, that presents itself as a civil rights organization and voice for/defender of all American Jewish people, whose leader (Jonathan Greenblatt) frequently goes on national television to viciously attack anyone and everyone who dares to publicly criticize Israel's actions, completely debased itself by immediately defending this action right after it happened. This organization is one of those that is largely responsible for the continuing false conflation of anti-Zionism with antisemitism. It's also worth noting that the ADL supplies the US government with the statistics it presents to the public about the instances of antisemitism in the US, in which it always includes thousands of instances of speech that is critical of Israel and/or Zionism. Examining the ADL’s Antisemitism Audit
  2. I will have a lot more to say about this, and other stuff in this thread, in the morning, but suffice to say while all of this might sound good in a vacuum, the reality is that your position here is surface level only, ignores a great deal of context, and makes some false assumptions, seemingly unintentionally. There's more to unpack here but I'm just now getting back from poker and need to go to bed, but I'll leave you with two things here: 1. The Israeli state absolutely does not give a shit of a fuck about the hostages. That isn't to say Israelis don't, of course they do, but the government does not care at all beyond their ability to use them as a bludgeon, or at best a bargaining chip. The people of Israel, of course, recognize this, which is why there have been many, many protests regarding the administration's utter callousness and lack of any real motion regarding the hostages. 2. Netanyahu has spent years propping up Hamas in order to maintain it as a permanent enemy in order to use it as the perfect excuse to wage permanent war against a captive population, and to keep himself in power in order to avoid going to prison for corruption. This is not speculation, it is fact and the reporting on this has mostly been done by Israeli media. It's very easy to find via a simple Google search but I can dig up the articles in the morning if you like.
  3. Colorado suspect 'said he wanted to kill all Zionist people' and 'planned attack for a year' | US News | Sky News Regardless, what he did is still wrong.
  4. Yeah, I knew about the problem with the Raptor engines. It seems pretty much unsolvable at this point without redesigning the entire rocket. The decision to make it out of stainless steel is an understandable one considering I think the ultimate goal with the design was to be a deep space craft, but that seems like a child's dream at this point. That video is weird, like it's an AI voice dubbed over the guy's video. He seems to know what he's talking about but the audio doesn't seem to be in sync and it's weirding me out lol
  5. Not saying you guys are doing this, but it's important that we stop attempting to contextualize the Israeli/Palestinian conflict as if it is a religious one. It is not, and the only reason anyone views it that way is because of how it has been contextualized by Western governments and media for many decades. That very sentiment is actually a big part of the problem. It causes a whole lot of misplaced distrust and fear across the board that spills over into other aspects of life for Jews and Muslims alike.
  6. Yeah I can't think of a good reason for the car not alerting the user.
  7. Yeah that's totally what you're doing and not being an annoying twat because you happened to buy a Tesla as per usual.
  8. Can't you fucking defend Tesla until your dying breath on another goddamn forum? You're so fucking annoying, jesus christ. It was a FSD crash. SHUT THE FUCK UP.
  9. This is why I've tried to hammer the point home over and over and over since Oct 7th that Israel's actions have and will continue to make Jewish people much less safe worldwide. Setting aside the rest of the world for the moment, there's already a baseline level of antisemitism in this country that is more or less considered to be acceptable, and of course the current administration is filled with antisemitic monsters that maintain a facade of "combating antisemitism" in order to further erode our rights. The sickness within Israeli society feeds off the sickness in our own and it has created a terrible feedback loop. Obviously, anyone who isn't an insane reactionary understands that the worldwide Jewish diaspora is not responsible for what the Israeli state is doing right now. There are arguments to be made against organizations like the ADL and other organizations/people who behave as mouthpieces in order to manufacture consent for its actions, but still the point largely stands. We're reaching a critical point in time. More and more people every day are turning against the Israeli state as they perpetrate a genocide while claiming they're doing it all in the name of Judaism. These actions unfortunately paint a massive target on the backs of innocent people like yourself worldwide, because for all of the genuine anger against the state of Israel, the danger Jewish people are in is compounded by the already existing levels of antisemitism and people who want to use Israel's actions as an excuse to attack Jewish people. If and when Israel manages to "finish the job" (and we all know what that really means), it will get far worse and I honestly don't know how we will protect people. The only way it's going to get better is putting an end to the genocide now and holding those responsible accountable for their actions now. Every day it continues, there will be more attacks and things will only continue to get worse. I would urge anyone that you know not to attend Jewish events for now, or at least carefully vet where they are going to be held and perhaps contact the organizers to see what kind of precautionary/security measures are being taken. I was literally talking yesterday to a couple of friends of mine who are planning on attending a couple of events at Stroum in Seattle this month. I didn't go so far as to try and talk them out of it, but I am obviously concerned for their safety. They understand what's going on and the risks involved, though, so hopefully everything goes on without a hitch.
  10. What we know about the suspect and victims in the Boulder attack | AP News AP (and other outlets) are now saying he had a makeshift flamethrower. Seems incredible that no one got killed, especially the suspect. It almost seems like he was trying to commit suicide by cop as well, and the cops had him at gunpoint but showed restraint.
  11. Yes, as I said, this particular tweet is fine.

  15. No notes on this particular tweet but worth keeping in mind that this Twitter account is extremely bad and you shouldn't follow it or lend it any clicks. It's not a real org and it's run by one crazy lady in Long Island.

  20. This isn't the right thread to discuss it but suffice to say certain current events are happening that make the likelihood of something like this happening unfortunately high. These things will likely keep happening and/or get worse.
  21. It's not and it's not helpful to handwave away unhinged shit like this with uneducated bullshit like that.
  22. It doesn't matter, astronauts are not going to be fooled if he makes a push to nudge the thresholds a few percentage points. This is a hard stop because he can't coerce, threaten, or pressure anyone to get on that vehicle. There is no leverage. Yeah of course.
  23. I quit after I got 6 of the first 8 incorrect. I made a comeback in the home stretch or I'd have been under .500 It really is pretty sobering
