  1. I’m sure Stringfellow Hawk is available.
  2. Pretty much any YouTube Top 10 worst landings vid will have one or two Ryanair contributions.
  3. I wonder if they were hurt by being on the field constantly in poor field position after our own offense shit itself. Every team has patsies on the schedule. Not every team is forced to support a bottom quartile offense in CFB averaging a smooth 2-3 turnovers per game. And that doesn’t count being forced to try unsound thing to make something happen to get the ball back late in games. That’s verbatim from Muschamp after the the loss to UCLA who’s loss you are no doubt referencing with the pistol offense BS. Teams struggling to defend the run give a lot more than 130 some odd yards a game. For reference please note half the UT defenses from the last decade.
  4. Will Mischamp’s 2010 defense gave up 23 points and 300 yards per game ( 161 passing/ 138 rushing) while trying to carry the Mack/Greg retarded version of a power football offense. Every asshole here would grant primae noctis to any DC who could approach those numbers at Texas these days. Please sign me up for more bad Muschamp defense.
  5. Only if he’s not using his crutch as a lance.
  6. I have no recollection of departing on any of the 13’s at MDW now that you mention it. I’ve taken off on 31C countless times in heading free with all the metal in the ground playing merry hell with the AHRS. Looking at the plates I don’t see an obvious reason why other than perhaps landing south is best accommodated by the circle east (think it’s a RNAV now too) for a 22 arrival. The finest ass chewing of my career happened when the primary fuel truck’s brakes failed at Signature MDW. The backup had to be filled with fuel and then service 6 airplanes before us. We were trying to get to DPA to pick up passengers and take them to Columbus for an Ohio State football game. They refused to come to MDW, it was IFR, and the plane had almost no extra fuel onboard for a repo. So, we were really late when all was said and done. Luckily, I was flying with the guy who was usually the Flight Operations Duty Manager up at the puzzle palace. After getting my ass chewed by the owner/passenger who didn’t understand the issues at hand I sent my partner back to deal with him because it was going to end up on his desk anyway. I heard the ass chewing from the flight deck. My partner sat down, looked at me, and said “Yeah, that guys an asshat.” We turned in 15 minutes at MDW (aircraft limitation) and I saved 12 minutes of flight time by going low in the 30’s instead up climbing to the moronosphere. Didn’t matter to that guy. In the end he and his embarrassed by his actions family made the game. They just missed brunch with their son who attended OSU. Two of the biggest aholes I had to deal with were at MDW. The third was in CLE. I don’t think that’s a coincidence, and I don’t miss it a bit.
  7. Absolutely this. It will be nice for a HC hire to actually attempt to assemble an elite staff rather than dragging his G5 buddies into Austin to further prove that they’re G5 coaches.
  8. He isn’t, but it’s no longer a week to week defensive nightmare and shootout.
  9. He was a helluva lot better than solid here. His first defense was good, his second was elite and his third would have been elite if not actively sabotaged by the offense on every down of every game they played. And the Big XII has actually backed off as an offensive league. Outside of OU its a pretty run of the mill spread league with KSU holding out. The really devious MF’ers have left the league or football for one reason or another.
  10. AJ McCarron never dreamed of the kind of production Jones is enjoying. He’s a lot closer to Tua than any of the Jurassic offense worthy signal callers that once inhabited Tuscaloosa.
  11. ORD runways are East/West with two that run SW/NE. Also there’s a rather large body of water directly east of the city that probably creates some sea/land breeze effect. I haven’t noticed landing one direction or the other more prominently at ORD, MDW, PWK, UGN or DPA.
  12. Can we start a “Jumped the Sark” thread?
  13. Best pair of face rapers with jackhammer feet to ever grace a Fox Sports Southwest broadcast imoho.
  14. You just described a significant number of surlers.
  15. A strong rushing attack helps any QB. And Casey’s legs will get some attention of their own. Still, there’s going to be someone who shuts down our OZ attack and forces Casey to do it with his arm. I have little confidence that Hermdog will have many counters to punish defenses for doing that outside of throwing man run around like a headless chicken until the secondary breaks down.
  16. Haskins looked pretty iffy from the comfort of my unpaid living room couch when the analysis superseded “big strong guy who throws ball good”. You could see he was a head case.
  17. Speaks volumes about a certain NFL head office.
  18. Seeing what Oregon does, or figuring that we won’t send an Egypt blitz on 3rd and Orlando is not really pertinent to the conversation. Seeing OU run something that we haven’t seen ISU run doesn’t do a lot to prepare our team for ISU running it other than hopefully some sharp player or coach seeing a tell pre or post snap. It’s hardly the way that you’d prep for another team. The larger point being that the Utah win was fool’s gold. They may not have been motivated to be there. They were down some of their secondary stars (future NFL players if I remember correctly), and they weren’t able to prepare well for our Ad Hoc defense. And it’s why my excitement for CT’s performance is tempered for now.
  19. You realize that tendency is the glue that connects all game day prep and in game coaching decision making right? Staffs will go back and try to find any film at all, coworkers and or opponents of an interim coordinator’s tendencies and preferences. Utah may have had some idea of what Naviar likes to do and what our various player strengths and weaknesses were. But they didn’t have charted data for down, distance, hash or pressure for what Naviar trotted out. And that shit matters. How often do we see some backup QB get inserted into the game, particularly against us, and watch them gut our defense for a quarter to a half? Pretty f’ing often to my mind. And it’s because the damn coaches are paralyzed. They don’t know what to do. We start playing a lot of base and guessing with blitzes because we don’t know their tendencies. Much the same with Casey Thompson. He looked great last night. We now definitively know that he can pass the ball quite well. Fanf’ingtastic. Now let’s see how he does once teams have a book on his tendencies, favorite concepts, and pet plays and players. Several teams will have the ability to make him play left handed. CU was guessing that we’d lean on the run and we burned them for it repeatedly. Sometimes it doesn’t work out that way. The talent disparity is sufficient or the coaching staffs are insufficient. But there are plenty of data points suggesting that coaching without then ability to prepare and chart tendency is kinda hard.
  20. That and I think they were down a couple of all everything safeties while having zero film to prepare for Craig Naviar’s improvised bowl defense. Kinda like CU had nothing to prep themselves for Casey.
  21. Gave the wife a choice of optics and mounted lights or a new gun. She wanted a new shotgun. So we just bought this 12 gauge semi auto bullpup shotgun, and she sprung for some 10 round mags. Panzer Arms BP12 Gen 2 .
  22. He’s a “good enough” coach. Depends on who his staff would be. The boosters will hate him. And he’ll be insufferable when he drops an 8 spot or less in the win column. He’ll win more than Hermdog. Don’t know that he’ll dethrone Lincoln Riley program in the Big XII. I wouldn’t hate his hire. I wouldn’t be in love with it either.
  23. I don’t think you coach busted ribs and a jacked up throwing hand back into shape. Shane healed. And then he balled.
