  1. I hadn't even considered that. I was only thinking about actual incomplete passes. I wonder if that falls under the same definition? If so, then that's an enormous rule change and something that's fundamental to the game.
  2. Number 1 is the only one that I know I would like to see changed. It doesn't happen that often, but it's super annoying when it does. 2 seems pointless as it has such minor impact. 3 is easily the most impactful for overall runtime. I can argue for and against 4, and I'm not sure which side I come down on it. I think cutting back a couple ads would have a bigger impact than all four of these rules combined, but we know that ain't happening

  4. This is as tired as them threatening to use nukes, except it’s even less of a threat. ETA: I guess I understand the above posts explaining this in that it lets him secure a little more personal safety, but I stand by it not being a legitimate threat to outsiders.
  5. Well say goodbye to nearly every construction company, restaurant, factory, farm, etc in Texas then. (Only referring to undocumented adult workers, agree with you about children.) As to your last sentence, I won’t disagree that is factual in certain circumstances. But it is definitely a small minority (again, at least as far as Texas is concerned).
  6. Fair point. I do remember something like that from my first jobs. But I think it only applied on school nights, because I don’t think we had the same restrictions during the summer. That certainly could’ve changed in the last 25 or so years since this was applicable for me though

  8. At least in Texas, you can start working most types of jobs at 14, so it’s not really the age that’s shocking. It’s the danger of the work at that age and the potential trafficking issues
  9. No, it’s stupid. Zero caffeine, sugar, or their energy blend. It’s just like any other hard seltzer

  12. This must be a very triggering time for you. I’m sorry about your previous exposure to toxic events
  13. No. In order to have a deterrent, they can't let anybody find out they used them all.
  14. I don't know man. I said I just went with the first numbers I saw from a quick google search. Looking again, I still don't know what the answer actually is. Obviously 100 wouldn't kill every person on the planet immediately, but the fallout and other effects globally from that many bombs would keep killing for a very long time.
  15. Just went with the first number I saw online. 3% of their nuclear arsenal is still 134 nuclear bombs. I think the estimate is that you'd only need about 100 nukes to essentially destroy the entire world
  16. I'm no military genius, but I'd imagine air defense systems work a lot better if they aren't under a roof.

  20. I used the term "UN peacekeepers" as a general point of reference. What I really meant was just some trained troops who were able to operate the best systems we (or other allies) have. But atomheart made me realize a valid argument against it. In my scenario, where such participation would only be in civilian areas, that doesn't really provide a robust enough network to ensure their safety. Russia would certainly try to overrun those positions with a shit ton of missiles, and they'd eventually be successful. That wouldn't play well here. Plus, I assume there are plenty of veteran volunteers over there already lending a hand with these things.
  21. The article mentions previous outbreaks, the biggest being 252 people in Angola. That one was 90% fatal, but another article that goes into it a bit more seems to indicate that there was little to no medical care available for most of the outbreak.
  22. A fatality rate of 23-90% is quite broad
