  1. I feel the same way about hunting season. I mean, fuck, is everyone from California?
  2. Can’t believe Chris Reeves hasn’t been represented. My edc is a small sebenza insingo, great blade design for daily tasks. Bought a pair of them, and gifted the twin to my dad. PS- we need a fixed blade thread...
  3. At first I was thinking that free labor would actually be a positive. But I guess the negative is you have to hire expensive men to constantly manage and keep them in line.
  4. I've never heard a patent attorney say, "I can't get you a patent".
  5. Do they still offer factory blems? I got a nice 45 for 30% off back in the day, before they moved. Hell, I put more blemishes on it carrying it home than it came with. Anyone know how active the P/E firm is re: management decisions? An acquisition might be interesting...if IPO isn't in the cards. They may have missed the window on that as well though...and you'd have to be willing to "let go" of your baby.
  6. Checking in from Section 7!!! Texas!!!
  7. I hate other drivers. It seems 95% of drivers have zero situational awareness. Everything from using a damn blinker, to accelerating to speed limit when entering an on ramp, to watching patterns around you to adjust in real-time and smooth out the flow. People are fucktards.

The fuck? You need to re-calibrate your zero stop, cause you’re off by a few mils
  11. Billy the Kid (emilio estevez) in Young Guns. Still can't believe this movie isnt' available on iTunes, WTF Apple.
  12. Awesome, gotta get this
  13. The purists may feel this is bastardizing an OF, but have any of you had the OF at Wu Chow in Austin? They spice it up by adding in some of that oriental chile seasoning / oil, and damn it, I like it. Of course, you need to like spicy shit...which I do. Definitely not a replacement of the traditional, but its a nice twist on the OF.
  14. Huge fan of Noah Mills. I also enjoy Rowans Creek quite a bit. Lately, I have been enjoying Walking Stick. Anyone else tried it? Sometimes hard to find at Specs, but its damned good. I alsways get 2-3 bottles when I am lucky enough to find it.
  15. Don't forget your shotgun! Or, your bow if you're crazy good like Ronnie Tuttle.
  16. Love this. You know a gun is loved once you spray paint her.
  17. Document their names / return addresses. Start "the list".
  18. Add knives / axes / sharp things to the list of outdoors items to be discussed.
  19. Do you know the area well? Any ideas where they typically roost? Get within calling range of those areas, right before dark (or at dark) and hoot like a screech owl. You can often locate them this way, as owls are a natural predator and the males will gobble in response. Come set up within 2-300 yards in the morning, before light. At daylight, start calling (lonely hen) and listen - paying close attention to if the gobbler's getting closer, or going away. If he's going away, he's with a group of hen's that he's not leaving. Time to move.... It's a bit cat / mouse with a smart gobbler. Also - unlike Texas deer hunting, you need to wear AMPLE camouflage. They are extremely good at pinpointing a location, and their eyesight is impeccable. Once they have you pegged, they will just run and you may not ever see or hear them. Try not to move much if you have a gobbler that is making his way into your area - become the tree / bush / background. If he's getting close, don't over-call. Similar to ducks, you can over-do it.
  20. Turkey hunting is one of the best damned experiences, but the end game is horrible. I have yet to find a good way to cook a bird....best I've ever done is lightly frying chunks of breast, and it still wasn't amazing. I've resorted to entertaining the sport of calling in a big Tom and getting them to strut around. Can't find it in myself to pull the trigger anymore. Anyone have a good recipe that would have me pullin' on the Benelli trigger once again?
  21. Likely to be auctioned to the highest bidder...
  22. New Orleans could be fun, though! Generally speaking, I agree. We need them here and there.
  23. How was he ever allowed into the inside circle? Fuck that noise. Lesson: never let an aggy (of any flavor) invest in your biz...
