  1. Interesting that his G2's have progressively gotten smaller since 2016, but the G4's seem to be growing. Are my eyes deceiving me, or based on his left ear, he has gained another 1/2-1" in inside spread? (think it might be the picture angle). Between the two, I'm more a fan of the tall rack with strong / masculine G2 / G3's. That is prettier than width (if I had to chose between the two). Both are good looking bucks!
  2. Any Camp Gladiator members here? I'm not a current member (work travel got in the way of being able to utilize the services), but when I was active it was a great way to stay motivated. Enjoyed working out outdoors (still do this as much as possible), and enjoyed getting to meet other's committed to making a change. Anyhow, thought I'd start a thread all things CG and see what instructors folks recommend. I'm looking to get back into the mix... I used to work out with Joel Hagaman and his wife (Stormy, I believe). Joel's a good dude. Workouts are middle of the road, but can be made challenging if you allow yourself. Mostly focuses on core strength and metabollic conditioning. If you're looking to bulk, this is not for you. Weight loss, cardio and functional strength are the primary outcomes. That, and smiles. Additionally, a PSA: CG has a "deal of the decade" going on for anyone interested in trying it out. $10 for 4 weeks of camps...something like that. I'm not associated with the company in any way...just passing on a damn good deal for anyone that has ever considered trying it out. Austin based company, fun sweaty times. https://cgdealofthedecade.campgladiator.com/
  3. Beautiful CRK!! Do you also have a Sebbie? Would be grateful for a comparative review.
  4. +1 My favorite shotty is my Nova. I'm one of those weirdos that grew up on a .410 breakover, so duck hunting with an auto just goes too "fast" for me. I always miss my follow up shots. When I use a pump, I am forced to re-focus...and that keeps me on target at a higher % hit rate. Love my Nova!
  5. Intriguing proposition. Would be an interesting experiment to let the market dictate the bowls....open up a brokerage for matching teams with bowls and allow them to bid it out. As you've stated in a follow up, it's easy to "not watch the games" if you don't think it's worthy. Someone else may view it differently and care to watch it, and I'm certain it's priced accordingly. Hell, the investors might lose...but that's a lesson learned on their part, right? Or, a tax write-off. Why should we care? I support the vote-with-your-wallet movement.
  6. I dont have pics on my phone, but I have a custom .308 that I covet. Underground Skunkworks, Kukri. 18” heavy barrel sitting in a Manners stock...its a truck rifle so i threw a NF 2.5-10 on top. Shoots amazingly out to about 800 and my patterns start breaking apart. Reliable kill shots on piglets to 500. Backstory. My dad and I sourced our rifles from UGSW when they were just getting started...Mike (owner) had worked for several reputable groups that built actions. We got our rifles about 3 months late...learned later that several others weren’t so lucky and never got theres. They ended up out of business, but damn if these thinga dont shoot!!! They are fucking tack drivers. Pics later.
  7. Why are you guys bitching about others overpaying and bitching about gun pricing? Thats too aggy for this thread. Fuck those guys...and get back to talking cool guns doing cool shit.
  8. Reserved for Surly donors...
  9. Love the slightly curvy browtines on this guy!! Nice mature buck...something to be proud of!
  10. Think I just had a Longhorn Moment...
  11. Wife: "Hey, what are we doing for my birthday this year?" Me: "Do you even Longhorn? Texas is playing curb stomping Maryland!!!" Priorities, bitches!
  12. Needs more pom squad! I'd also vote for airing the Texas Venture Labs competitions.
  13. He's protected during these scrimmages, right? I mean...he doesn't have anything to fear, thus false confidence could be prevalent.
  14. Topic: Hookers & Blow -- NCAA rules that make no sense.
  15. Hunting Licenses are available! https://tpwd.texas.gov/regulations/outdoor-annual/licenses/hunting-licenses-and-permits
  16. I hope Tre Watson runs over his ass... EDIT: And yes, I wish the best for the young man. Hope our RB's don't flatten him in his first year of grad school.
  17. Thoughts on playing up to team-based competition at UT vs playing down to it elsewhere? How does this play out for him for meeting his long term goals?
  18. Definitely has some mass to it, which makes it less nimble...it's a different beast. It's got great balance though, and the tires allow you to roll over just about anything in your way. For example, I can take a standard city curb head on with little effort on my part...the tires simply absorb the obstacles.
  19. Any BMX fans? I've adopted a SE Fat Ripper as my cruiser. 26" fat tires on a BMX frame...it's a cruiser that can crush obstacles on demand. A little heavy and a fixie, but I like it that way. Fun to ride and play around on. Pic is 2019 model, mine's a 2016 I think (chrome / blue). SE colors have gotten a little retro lately...
  20. The morning news in Austin covered this nicely today. What a damn good way to break in an August morning. Coffee, with a little Aggie tears for some added kick!
  21. It's the dead of summer, and people are starting to talk football. That always triggers me on hunting season. Can't wait to spend some time in the woods with family.
  22. Congrats Horns! Anyone know which game we play in this weekend? I can't find any useful information.
  23. PSA: Wellers Antique 107 spotted (and acquired) @ Spec’s in Austin (North, off Mopac and Braker - Arbor Walk). $29.99, limit 1 per customer.
