  1. So we’re supposed to believe that China allowed the virus to spread across the entire globe but was successful at preventing its spread throughout their own country? Fucking LOL
  2. Except they couldn’t hide the fact that they were sending fake medical supplies. They probably have over 1 million active infections domestically. No way they have the capacity to sell internationally right now. Long term, lots of countries are going to move the critical elements of their supply chain (medical, tech, energy) out of China. They’re going to suffer massively as a result of this.
  3. Just look at the trend line of infections in basically every country besides China and you see similar exponential growth. In addition to being the origin of the virus, they silenced the first whistle blowers who try to alert the world, then lied about the progression of infections throughout their own population all while allowing them to continue traveling internationally. They deserve a huge amount of blame for everything unfolding around the world the right now.
  4. What would happen to public equity in this case? Purchased by debt holders at fire sale value?
  5. Everything is fine https://news.google.com/articles/CBMiU2h0dHBzOi8vd3d3LmZveG5ld3MuY29tL3dvcmxkL3NwYWluLWNvcm9uYXZpcnVzLXNlbmlvci1ob21lcy1pbnZlc3RpZ2F0aW9uLWljZS1yaW5r0gFXaHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZm94bmV3cy5jb20vd29ybGQvc3BhaW4tY29yb25hdmlydXMtc2VuaW9yLWhvbWVzLWludmVzdGlnYXRpb24taWNlLXJpbmsuYW1w?hl=en-US&gl=US&ceid=US%3Aen
  6. The Harris county judge is more like a county commissioner. Not a judge in the legal sense.
  7. This is how you know the market is rational. They have > 50% (?) of their locations closed, maaaaybe 20% occupancy worldwide, presumably going to fire 70% or more of their employees. BUY BUY BUY
  8. Times are tough. Internet slap fights are all we have left.
  9. This doesn’t seem like the time for trial and error. Honestly, what is the downside for a SIP order right now? Do they think that they’ll save the economy by allowing people to still go to work? That ship has sailed.
  10. It’s uncanny how Karen is neighbors and friends with people whose children happen to be aggy football recruiting targets. Pure coincidence, I’m sure.
  11. It’s a shame. That’s some of the most beautiful land in Texas. Hopefully we’ll get in under control someday and be able to enjoy it again. /noCR
  12. My grandfather was in the Air Force and my dad lived in Italy for about 10 years growing up. He has stayed in contact with friends that he knew from that time in the Naples area. A good friend of his, who is now 70 years old is “incredibly ill” along with the other 3 members of her family. They have been told not to visit the hospital as there is simply no room for them. They are just hoping for the best. Scary stuff...
  13. Yes, my understanding is that the 3500 would only work every other week (and have their salaries reduced by 50%) but maintain full benefits.
  14. Is this the same 3500 that were put on furlough last week? Or does HAL just like to do layoffs in groups of 3500.
  15. I can’t wait for aggy to heroically and singlehandedly save us from the corona virus. Luckily we already know they’ll do it which allows cowardly sips such as myself to sit at home.
  16. If I had to choose a horse in this race I think that I may go with Russia. US shale drillers are facing a wave of bankruptcies no matter what. There will be massive consolidation / reorganization with most private equity backed companies disappearing. The “buy and flip” model that has been popular over the past 6-8 years is over. That leaves OPEC vs Russia. Both rely heavily on O&G revenues for government budgets with breakeven most likely higher than the current market price. The difference is that Saudi Arabia in particular needs the revenue for massive social spending and subsidies that keeps the population from uprising against the royal family. It’s no secret that KSA is the epicenter of the Salafi jihadist movement and based on MbS recent string of arrests for “treason”, it looks like plenty of powerful people in the royal family / military / intelligence groups are not happy. Russia, on the other hand, seems to be almost completely united behind Putin. They have also endured far, far worse suffering than whatever low oil prices will bring. They have a pretty good record in wars of attrition.
  17. Looks like we should go ahead and add him to the list of guys who were average on our DL and go on to shine in the NFL. Fuck you Todd Orlando.
  18. So if self deprecating humor is part of Jewish culture (it is, right?) then isn’t Mr. Wrencher denying the student’s identity? Is this cultural appropriation? Which is the more significant crime? The PC crowd needs to release a list of offenses and rank them to that we know who to rule for in these situations.
  19. Maybe the third or fourth to arrive, second-to-last to leave.
  20. Ping G400 10.5* dialed back to 9.6*, Alta CB stiff Ping G400 14.5* 3 wood, Alta CB stiff Ping G400 19* hybrid, Alta CB stiff Mizuno JPX 850 Forged 4-PW, True Temper XP105 stiff Wilson Harmonized 50/08 Wilson Harmonized 56/12 Wilson Harmonized 60/10 Odyssey O-Works 7S Black ... Definitely looking to replace the wedges ($30 each on Amazon). I’m looking for something “blade-like” without a big sole and with relatively low bounce. I really like the look of the Ping Glide Forged but they’re pretty pricy. Also considering the Cleveland RTX-4. Any advice is appreciated.
  21. The miracle should have occurred last year. When it became obvious that LB was going to be a weakness we should have shifted the scheme to let the DL handle outside contain, rush the passer, etc. Orlando is too dumb to adjust to anything.
  22. And a guy coaching for his job at USC this year hired Orlando to install the same scheme.
