  1. Hey, we’re all just Ordinary People out here, we ain’t mad.
  2. That would be incredible (although HG was always the lead).
  3. So, you’re looking for a third in the Sizemore/Madsen universe or Mulroney/McDermott? Because I don’t see Bogosian-like matching any of those pairs (I was thinking maybe Patrick Dempsey for the M/M match, but he’s too well known).
  4. I knew that was coming, but most of us don’t pick Divine Brown to get some strange. 😂
  5. Ha, I was thinking about making a joke about how Michael Madsen needs to watch out, the Grim Reaper may make a mistake. Regarding tagging Elizabeth Hurley, the guy who was definitely tagging Elizabeth Hurley risked it all for a blow job from a street whore, so maybe EH wasn’t all that.
  6. @Nice Guy Eddie mentioned his Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew appearance on the Celebrity Death Pool thread in DT. That was 13 years ago, and that was after a prolonged spiral into drugs. He’s had issues for a long time. Hollywood must be a weird place when you’re on the fringes, barely making it financially and physically, yet everyone still knows who you are, tugging at you.
  7. Shit, that’s what I get for posting in the middle of the night. I thought thread originators can edit titles? If anyone can fix, it would be appreciated.
  8. Kinda surprised there was never a thread since the movie made a decent splash last fall and is at 93% on Rotten Tomatoes. A sequel has been greenlit. It’s now streaming on Peacock and we watched it last night. An easy watch, about an hour and a half long. Funnier than scary, which is ok. At times the shrieking human girl was more frightening than the toy. ScarJo should sue for them co-opting her likeness. Colin Jost was probably weirded out. I’m not sure I was surprised by anything in the movie, I was forecasting scene outcomes left and right (I admit I must be a shitty person with which to watch a film), and such predictability should be death for a horror film, but it didn’t matter, since it’s mindless, low stakes fun. An animatronic thumbs up.
  9. Victimized in one of the most bizarre TV talk show moments ever. The VTR tracking sucks on this clip, but I’m using this version because you get some perspective on the event from Belzer in this interview with Roy “Where the fuck did he go?” Firestone. RIP, Richard. You helped invent sarcastic snark, an even darker version than Dennis Miller.
  10. I haven’t been posting these lately, but just had to share this red hot poker up the ass. Looks like I’m not alone. Wordle 608 5/6 ⬜⬜🟨🟨🟩 🟩🟩⬜⬜🟩 🟩🟩⬜⬜🟩 🟩🟩⬜⬜🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  11. Enough about your personal problems, what about the site?
  12. I’m about 20 Marvel movies behind, so this one isn’t in the queue, but in regard to reviews…
  13. Watched it tonight and really enjoyed it. I guffawed out loud more than in some broad comedies I’ve watched over the years, the dark humor usually hitting its mark (as noted above, often helped by the on scene menu descriptions). Fiennes was spot on, Taylor-Joy was alienesque and interesting and Hoult was annoying, so he nailed his role, too. Two (severed) thumbs up!
  14. For males of a certain age, she was it. RIP, Ms. Welch, you were a beauty and a dame who didn’t seem to take any shit, whether when facing off against dinosaurs, bitches on roller skates or Phil Donahue.
  15. Derailing the jokes to comment on the actual action, the words “heat of the moment”: and “impulsive” are used, which is complete bull dog shit. The guy has a bag of dachshund scheisse on his person during the intermission of a major ballet performance, so it’s not an unplanned act. Granted, I don’t know what this sentence from the article means: He said that his dachshund left feces in his dog bag, which he then used to attack Hüster. The dog knows to shit in a bag? Whatever, he’s not going to be dealing with his dog’s shit in the intermission. Completely planned, and he needs to be fired, not suspended. Or, as noted above, weird shit happens there, and he’s celebrated: “Forget it Jakob, it’s Germany.”
  16. So, I’ll word it this way: Steve Sarkisian and A.J. Milwee are exactly the reasons that Arch Manning is in Austin right now instead of Athens or Tuscaloosa, along with the immense opportunity and potential earnings the Texas brand offers the Manning family, perhaps the most business savvy family in all of sports.
  17. The Slonim Woods complex they lived in didn’t seem to be a traditional dorm set up, as In rooms shared by two people with a community bathroom, or even a suite with two rooms separated by a bathroom. It’s apparently more like a block of four apartments, two stories with (it seemed) two bedrooms each. They had living rooms, and that’s where Larry camped out, so you couldn’t escape him in Talia’s unit. There were decent sized kitchens, and he splurged on them and made them nice meals. An RA would probably notice Dad is around a lot, but unless they shared one of the units, they wouldn’t know everything going on. If the heat got too much, I assume Larry just disappeared for a few days. Or, the most likely scenario, the RA didn’t give a fuck. Some of the students fell for his bullshit, others saw right thru him. The real brainwashing came during the summer and ensuing years, when everyone moved onto a small apartment he had appropriated from a friend. The Rosario Family provided the main fuel for his ridiculousness. The story of the eldest daughter is just mind blowing.
  18. This was discussed last week in this thread
  19. Richard Christy is such a fucking cunt.
  20. I posted a pic three years ago in this thread, Post #70. Some things are better left unseen (and the documentary claims she brought in more than a million bucks).
  21. Couldn’t find anything on this on the Movies & TV forum, three part doc is oh Hulu. Ep 1 a little slow, but picks up, Ep 2 disturbing as hell. Actual audio and video from the freak is used, he’s such a narcissist, he provided them to the filmmakers. It’s just preposterous to think this could happen. https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2023/02/larry-ray-sarah-lawrence-sex-cult From the article: In 2005, five years before he moved into his daughter’s dorm at Sarah Lawrence College and took a cult-like hold over her young friends, Larry Ray received a psychological evaluation. It was conducted as part of a custody trial with Ray’s ex-wife, and the judgment was alarming. “It is literally impossible to evaluate Mr. Ray in the usual clinical manner,” concluded the evaluator. “His personality dynamics are so configured that he is able to manipulate and control almost any situation in which he finds himself, including a psychological interview with a forensic examiner, no matter how experienced that examiner may be. Mr. Ray is very good at what [he] does.” The report, which is uncovered in Hulu’s new three-part docuseries Stolen Youth: Inside the Cult at Sarah Lawrence, goes on to call Ray a “calculating, manipulative, and hostile man who masks his hostility, presenting instead a boyish, charming façade.” The summary proved prophetic in 2010, when Ray began posing as a mentor to his daughter’s college-age friends and brainwashing them. He systematically isolated them from their families and friends, pressured them into degrading and sometimes sexual scenarios, controlled what they ate and to whom they spoke, and ultimately exploited them for hundreds of thousands of dollars. In Stolen Youth, a group of Ray’s followers sit down with Oscar-nominated filmmaker Zach Heinzerling (Cutie and the Boxer) to retrace their traumatic journey with Ray—revealing how, bit by bit, they fell under Ray’s bizarre spell. “I think in cult situations, there can be judgment of the victim—how could you fall for that?” Heinzerling tells Vanity Fair.“There’s no acknowledgement of the complicated nature of that experience.” The survivors were willing to open up on camera to bridge that knowledge gap, says the filmmaker—“to explain what happened, what it was like to be 19 and introduced to your girlfriend’s dad or your friend’s dad. And how, over a slow, methodical progression, it metastasized into something horrible.” More in the link.
  22. Was it a metaphorical beat down in a post/series of posts that left Geoffy in an above ground pool of tears, or an actual pummeling? Because I would presume trying to land a punch would be like hitting Baymax or the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, your fist would just sink deeper and deeper, then an elastic effect would send you to the other side of the room.
  23. So, LeBron is getting traded from the Lakers tomorrow? 🤣
