  1. Yeah, I was a little kid in the 60’s and this was a massive story, covered in the news, everyone knew about it, Rentzel was shamed widely, jokes were flying (“Did you hear Lance Rentzel changed his name? Yeah, to Dick Flasher”) and Heatherton left his sorry ass in a very public way, so OP is way off base there. Regarding legal consequences, I’m not sure how litigation would differ today because I’m not sure exactly what happened to him then or what could happen to a similar offender today. As for football, he was done with Dallas, but yes, moving on to the Rams may not be duplicated today due to the sexual nature of the crime. Assholes today do get second chances (such as Antonio Brown and Kareem Hunt), but I don’t know if you come back from showing your Tiny Lance to a little girl.
  2. I’m not a regular regular, but I have noticed the dude posts a lot, seemingly with great confidence, and he gets called out quite a bit. As noted above, he was very critical of the Moore take, and when it was evident during the spring this kid could likely contribute as a true freshman, the other posters shoved it up his ass with great glee. My assumption is he’s the kinda dude when schadenfreude hits, you do the groundskeeper in Rudy satisfied hand clap. @LTtxfan will probably do us a solid and post that gif posthaste 🤣.
  3. As you know, Burton has become the de facto YouTube/Livestream guy, and he and Gerry often provide some good content. Even @Wulaw Horn gets in on the party by subsidizing Scipio’s chats with Bobby. No issues there (DM Wulaw for a great mortgage or smelly sex van trip to Arkansas). Much of the problem occurs with these fucking “superchats,” in which someone tosses a dollar amount at the guys and they feel compelled to answer the damn thing, no matter how inane or repetitive. And they now have a dude named “Blake” running the show (I guess he used to work for 247 or something) and though he seems like a nice guy (I don’t want to shit on a kid trying his best), the editorial decisions aren’t always the best (again, often driven by who’s contributed $2.99 or some other amount… you get your shitty question answered). That’s why there’s so many “Why does Bo Davis suck at recruiting?” or “What’s the best position group?” questions. And there’s a lot. I watch because Hamilton is a no-sleep maniac who works his ass off and knows a lot. (Oh yeah, regarding IT posters, they are the biggest bunch of chicken littles I’ve ever seen, constantly bemoaning the fate of the program. I can see why Nahlin sometimes gets passive aggressive [he does], understanding he has to cater to these whiners while accepting their money. And inflation has hit the $9.95 world, they are offering a $10 a month special at IT… I’ve only done the $1 for four months. It expires next week, so I’ll need BO&W’s updates after that 🤣.)
  4. Polynesian linebackers can do very well at ND, but Kyng, if a hot chick DMs you and offers to be your girlfriend, just delete the message.
  5. Jesus has them on a sweet NIL deal. Promoting never ending loaves of bread (this was before Olive Garden) and wine, plus shoes that walk on water, something even Phil Knight hasn’t figured out.
  6. It seems to be a cutout of a much older man, I’m guessing a family member who may have passed or couldn’t otherwise attend.
  7. At Gipson’s commitment ceremony, there’s a big throne he’ll be sitting on as he announces his choice. Lulz.
  8. Nahlin has now done an about face with an IT mea culpa, says Gipson to Clemson is the pick.
  9. The offers, size, the tape… all show this kid is way underrated. Helluva get, hook ‘em!
  10. He doesn’t know shit about fuck? Floating casino? Is Simmons committing to University of the Ozarks?
  11. Some of the usual suspects, Wentworth, McCormack, Bon Jovi, upping his game with Downey and throwing in some Shields for good measure. I wonder what happened between HS and Christa Miller/Bill Lawrence? They used to all be besties, but I never once heard Howard mention Ted Lasso, even though it was a rare chance for him to be culturally significant and have BL a on to talk TL. Who’s the outlier in this photo? The one who didn’t really have their own career.
  12. Beth is so miserable, but she made the devil’s bargain to stick it out and use the money for the cats and dogs (and still get some residual fame, more than she ever would’ve as a catalog model or occasional Letterman skit girl). I can’t remember the issue about a month ago, but she was incredibly pissed at him… maybe it was checking up on her frequently to make sure she was wearing a mask while out? Even sycophant Robin was all, “Uh oh, read the room HS, she’s at a different level of disgust.” But even if she wanted to leave, she knows she can’t, without destroying all the sacrifices she’s already made being with him*. With the many instances Howard has mentioned prenups to people over the years, you know he has her in an ironclad one… she would probably get a fraction of what should be coming to her in a divorce. So, she grins and bears it, puts up with the isolation, early meals, early bedtimes, the Hallmark movies, the mind games, no friends, letting Howie climb on top of her a few times a month… and she copes by literally spending much of her day cleaning cat shit and piss out of boxes. She doesn’t even get Knicks games anymore. This celebrity party was probably a consolation gift to her to prove he’s not end of days Howard Hughes. *Same for everyone else, too. Robin and Gary know he’s the golden goose, so they either act as #1 Defender (Robin) or swallow their tongue (Booey). Fred usually takes his side, too. Everyone has seen what happens when you leave the team (Jackie, Artie, Scott the Engineer, Shuli), you don’t exist anymore. I’m shocked he actually mentioned Billy West the other day.
  13. I had to put my beloved dog down in the last week, so there’s at least one thing I’ve experienced recently that’s worse than catching up on this thread.
  14. OK, this is weirdly hypnotic. But WTF is up with these hats, Troubadours?
  15. Not denying his chops or place in Texas music history, but he had a shitty TV show. IT reported his visit was just OK, hindered by his late arrival due to a 7 on 7 tournament that weekend. So, “just OK,” along with Arky being all in on his recruitment, Texas perhaps prioritizing other guys and you have his apparent impending commitment to the Hogs. Here’s Nahlin’s take:
  16. It was an hour, and despite all those tits, still complete shit. Agony was being stuck at home as a small child on Saturday night with your alcoholic father and forced to watch a seemingly never-ending stream of Ernest Tubb, Porter Waggoner, Bill Anderson and fucking Hee-Haw. Yes, I have trauma 🤣. Fucking KTVT. “It’s 10 o’clock. Do you know where your children are?” Yeah, fucking ready to blow my brains out if I see Faron Young one more got damned time. What were we talking about?
  17. On3 needs to get its shit together regarding Wingo’s primary recruiter at Texas 🤣
  18. Maybe we’ll be able to stop bitching about the talent level/size at center for a while. Hook ‘em, Daniel!
  19. Some have been expecting the Faga flip for a while. Phenix City, Alabama was once so corrupt, they made a cheesy 50’s fictionalized docu/noir (I think I just made up a new genre) about it. I’m betting @cafe society saw it in film class.
  20. Damn, and the ONE day I neglect to read the Atlanta Journal Constitution…
  21. Gerry reporting KJ Lacey teammate, Bama commit and amazing badass WR Ryan Williams is communicating with the Texas staff. https://www.on3.com/teams/texas-longhorns/news/five-star-alabama-commit-talking-to-the-texas-longhorns/
