  1. Branch is amazing, but both he and Moore are extremely mature for HS seniors and would seem to have the physical makeup to compete at a high level in college, and do so early. Instead of relying on speed to get open like some of the skinny kids, they should also be able to muscle a DB as well. I like the take.
  2. McDonald is signing today, announcing 1/7 at his All-Star Game, but when they talked about it on the IT YouTube show, Wells couldn’t hide his shit-eating grin, and Hamilton says he has an RPM for Texas, so I’m assuming that letter Jelani signs today will have an Austin return address.
  3. The timing is rather mind blowing, with the Steelers/Raiders 50th Anniversary Game getting hyped for this weekend. I suspect there are several activities planned that Harris was to be involved with (I’m not seeing any mention of him being ill), so it now becomes a tribute to him and a remembrance of the game/play.
  4. There hasn’t (apparently) been a decommitment from Louisville/commitment to us, but after months of Moore being described as a “Louisville commit,” his school notably put out a notice regarding Wednesday’s signings that seems to indicate he’s currently not aligned with anyone (TBA), so that’s a data point that would seem to indicate things have changed with Louisville. Thanks to @Elmer_Fudd for the tweet upthread.
  5. I stopped watching after Branch and Moore, but both are grown ass men. Moore should be able to compete and potentially contribute early.
  6. Akana’s sis just served to win the National Championship for the Texas Volleyball team.
  7. The people shitting on the Wisner take didn’t watch today, he’s a dude.
  8. Wisner just flashed a hook ‘em after his interview, all would appear well.
  9. He’s doing the Saban never pleased until the final whistle act
  10. It’s the Emmitt Smith Don’t Take Your Fucking Helmet Off rule from 30:years ago, adopted by every level of football. It shouldn’t be so hard to remember. But Wisner is looking good, seems like Mathis has him in a hybrid slot/RB role to get more studs on the field. Wisner is definitely in the Keilan spot.
  11. But they blew whistle before anyone recovered the ball
  12. Nate Burleson with some top flight color commentary there.
  13. Looking like yet another tie in the NFL this season
  14. Colts are the worst team in the history of sports, I don’t care who wins
  15. Have you tried logging out? And if you’re on an Apple device with Safari, clear the last hour of history, that’s what I just did.
  16. I cleared out the last hour of my cache on iPad, that always seems to kick me out of the site but I logged in, and here I am posting. Hope it sticks.
  17. Campy and funny, surprisingly deep or Cats movie level cringe? I’m not getting a good feeling from the trailer, but Gerwig certainly has skins on the wall.
  18. Article on Catalon detailing some of his injury history https://www.bestofarkansassports.com/arkansas-football-jalen-catalon-injury-update-impact-2022/ A four-star recruit and top-250 overall prospect coming out of Mansfield Legacy in the 2019 class, Catalon was heavily recruited and likely would have been ranked higher had he not suffered a torn ACL in the first game of his senior season. Even with the injury, former coach Chad Morris mentioned Catalon alongside the likes of Vince Young as one of the best recruits he’d ever seen in Texas. Despite that high praise and having a solid fall camp in which he had multiple pick-six interceptions, the Razorbacks failed to get him significant reps as a freshman. In his first three collegiate appearances, Catalon played only a handful of snaps, with most coming on kneel downs or special teams. Because the coaching staff had botched the new redshirt rule, he was shut down after getting significant reps against Western Kentucky and playing well. It was eventually revealed that he was hampered by a slight tear in his labrum that required surgery. Sam Pittman ended up reaping the benefits, as Catalon had a breakout 2020 season in which he made 99 tackles and three interceptions, earning All-SEC and Freshman All-American accolades. There was talk of Catalon being a first-round pick after his redshirt sophomore season, and it started off on a high note with two interceptions in the opener against Rice, but that was derailed by injuries. A broken hand likely contributed to Catalon not coming down with an interception or two against Ole Miss and then it was revealed he once again had a “tear” in his shoulder that required season-ending surgery. Even after missing the second half of the regular season and the bowl game, there was a chance Catalon could declare for the draft and begin his NFL career, but instead, he opted to return for a fourth season with the Razorbacks. Unfortunately, it ended the same as his first and third — with shoulder surgery.
