  1. The best thing about Surly Horns (after Burnt Ends) is the ability to crowd ban trolls and idiots. These piggies that have gotten the hammer are from below Dante's lowest level of hell.
  2. From the Atlantic betting story No. 21 Texas at Arkansas – 7 p.m. Saturday on ESPN TEAM SPREAD TOTAL MONEYLINE Texas -6.0 57 -225 Arkansas +180 It’s understandably going to take more than one win for Texas to believe in Steve Sarkisian. But beating Louisiana is a good first step towards some trust. Handling a future conference foe wouldn’t be a bad second rung, and oddsmakers think the Longhorns can do it, favoring them by six points at Arkansas. Hudson Card threw for 224 yards two touchdowns in his first career start while Bijan Robinson racked up 173 scrimmage yards in a 38-18 win over the Ragin’ Cajuns. Texas was consistent offensively, converting 10 of 15 third downs and producing points on nine possessions. UT also outscored Louisiana 24-12 in the second half. The defense held UL to four third-down conversions on 13 tries, 2-for-4 in the red zone, as well as four sacks and one turnover. Arkansas started slowly in Week 1, trailing Rice at halftime before blowing the game open for a 38-17 win. Quarterback K.J. Jefferson was streaky in the opener and operated more as a complement to a run game that produced 245 yards. Trelon Smith had 102 of those with a rushing touchdown, topping triple-digit yards for the third time in five games dating back to last season. Arkansas’ defense forced three turnovers in the second half, two by Jalen Catalon. However, that unit was also responsible for eight of Arkansas’ 13 penalties against Rice. Arkansas will need to be more disciplined and avoid giving Texas extra chances on the road to beat Texas.

  4. With respect to Collins playing time. IT thought that perhaps the coaches were sending him a message.
  5. Completely agree with this. Sark called off the dogs so as not to embarrass ULL and Napier spit the bit and acted like a little bitch.
  6. Casey Thompson checking portal rules, again.
  7. Receiver stumbled on the into the end zone. Throw was where he should have been.

  10. Props to Cade Brewer for spreading the word via Twitter. This will drive new talent (and cash) to Surly. All of the tight ends actually.
  11. I'll try to finish the season for the 1st time. The Charlie Strong era took a lot out of me.
  12. The Whataburger bags are a nice touch! Proud to be associated with this program and website.

  16. We should treat it like an indulgence. The Vatican has been doing that for centuries.
  17. Great picture! Our seats were in the first row of the North End Zone and I felt like he was running straight at me down the sidelines. Fuck Arkansas and Chip Brown.

  20. From the Atlantic. Game week appropriate. Texas Pinthouse Pizza We here at The Athletic, being of sound mind and capable of grasping the obvious, deemed Austin one of our nation’s best college towns for beer consumption a while back. So, yes, you could just about spin around with your eyes closed, take four steps and hit a great brewery. A place founded on the principles of beer and pizza going together, though, demands some of your attention. Pinthouse has crafted tons of award-winning IPAs, with its Electric Jellyfish hazy IPA by this point a ubiquitous star. You have to be careful, though, to get the full experience; the Pinthouse Brewing outpost on Ben White Boulevard actually doesn’t serve pizza. The other three Pinthouse locations do, and the one on Burnet Road is probably the best bet for anyone near Texas’ campus. And don’t worry; there are plenty of non-IPA options for those who turn their noses up at such beverages among the 24 in-house and guest taps at Pinthouse Burnet. Burro’s Breakfast lager, anyone? Notables: Zilker, Austin Beerworks, Jester King, Southern Heights, St. Elmo, Red Horn, Blue Owl
  21. Let’s give IT some credit for pinning the Burnt Ends threads. They get a raft of shit on the board that I’m sure their aware of.
  22. JQJ has not become one with the playbook from what I hear.
  23. Looking forward to the new normal of Texas football!
  24. I live in Missouri now, it looks like Alabama most days.
