  1. My wife had the sleeve done and edibles are fine. Constant nicotine narrows your arteries as you know, occasional THC won’t be an issue. I like to have a couple drinks, pop an edible then ‘coast’ that way…fun, relaxing, no hangover and so long as you don’t keep drinking it won’t be wild. Also, weighing yourself everyday may be counterproductive. Water, shit, etc will have it wiggling up/down driving yourself mad.
  2. No shit. All of mine looked like the one from BrewStew
  3. OrangePower. I think they just couldn’t pay the bills…Twitter account said, a few months ago, they were working to get back online but alas it’s dead. Pretty good fans for sports stuff, but the news/politics board was ass backwards as fuck painful.
  4. Well that didn’t work out https://theoatmeal.com/comics/gym
  5. Dude it’s all relative. I fee skinny at 205 which I’m not.
  6. …so are you Chinese or Japanese?
  7. Yep, got clobbered by Arky and lost a close one to Vandy…but taking care of business in the rest of the weak noncon. Wish there was more coverage on our blogs about it, and from what I’ve heard D1 isn’t that great for the price. Having McLean back was huge but it’s a long season and Josh teams have certainly peaked early before.
  8. Fun fact that the Sideshow Bob gag was due to the writers running out of content for this episode and needed 20s or so of filler…though my favorite is the ‘2 against 1’ cactus patch gag And I recall that Trey Parker hated this episode before it aired and wanted to pull it…still my favorite SP episode.
  9. Feel like I say this every year but it’s a shame that baseball isn’t on tv more. Yeah there’s ESPN+ but it seems to just have such limited exposure for a game that has, in my opinion, the best playoff system out there. It’s a great thing to have on the tv when you’re cooking or something, there’s key moments of excitement but also lots of breathing room to stay on task.
  10. Yep there’s one configured for VIP transport called the C-37. Guess I shoulda said VVIP because it’s quite a step up from the C-21 Learjets that seem to shuttle stars around in-theater. There’s an upcoming jammer thatll replace the EC-130 Compass Call birds. …kinda reminds of the elusive RAT55 radar test bed that flies around the NTTR/Area 51 a lot I’ve always wondered if they drop special mission birds in UPT (training)…I’d guess not, probably have to fly a normal white jet like a C-21 first or maybe other AMC stuff like a tanker or C17. On the other hand some people do go to AFSOC (special ops) right out of training so who knows.
  11. Thanks gents. I like listening to LiveATC or just random stuff like VAS on YouTube…hell I miss channel 9 on the old UA birds. But complex taxi instructions seem like they’d be hard to follow unless you were prepared for it. Obviously there’s endless clips of JFK, between old Kennedy Steve stuff and just general mayhem it seems to be a magnet for wild dialog. I figured most weren’t that bad.
  12. Dad was just a reservist 1LT (retired AD O6) back in ‘85 when I saw my first air show. His reserve base was Niagara Falls so naturally that’s where we went and off to see the Blue Angels…which saw lead and opposing solo crash. It’s the only memory I have before about 10yo: https://www.nytimes.com/1986/03/16/nyregion/report-cites-pilot-error-in-blue-angels-crash.html Once he went AD we had a few air shows to go to where the T-birds went at it…and I instinctively clench up a bit during that maneuver. Dangerous job. There was a discovery show about the Angels years ago that was awesome, but what cracked me up was a segment where the new angels had to fly into LAX…naturally it was a foreign world and they really struggled with all the tightly controlled traffic and constant ATC vectors. Even taxiing was a challenge. Y’all that fly professionally and often go into places like JFK, ORD, LAX, etc that have multiple ground freqs and lengthy taxi instructions have my respect. Do you still use pen/paper/iPad to write it down as they issue or do you mostly have it figured out already by knowing the airport/gate, what runway you’re given, etc?
  13. This seems like the perfect opportunity for our resident true crime obsessed @Nicole44 to put all the skills learned at PodCast U to good work
  14. Got dat pandemic! Get ya pandemic!
  15. Sounds like they forgot about their own API, in their own client, when they decided to shut off API access. Brilliant
  16. In the ‘stupid shit’ column of my life… Back in 03, when I was still a phone rep, the guy in the next cubical over and I were sorta buddies…his ‘uncle’ was the mayor of Matamoros and asked him to bring him a car he’d purchased in SA. This dude asked me and a large black man named GB to come along. We said fuck it, why not. Turns out the car was a demo/whatever Jeep from a dealership and had a wrap in the form of a giant American flag for July 4th. So this tiny Hispanic dude, large black dude and my 6’ white ass drove that damn thing across the border into Matamoros. It was gaudy even for South Texas. Between traffic and random stares, it took us forever to deliver it after which the mayor loaned us his black Suburban to tour the town for the day…suddenly traffic was parting like for Moses. The mayor showed us around his villa and it was the first time I’d seen an AK-47, hanging against the wall just inside the door. Turned out fine but in hindsight I shoulda told Manny to fuck off.
  17. Tesla is recalling 3,470 Model Y crossovers for second-row seat fix “Tesla is recalling 3,470 Model Y crossovers built between May 2022 and February 2023 in order to check that the bolts that secure the frame of the second-row seats are properly torqued. Those that aren't could potentially increase the risk of injury to occupants of the second row during a crash.”
  18. If my two years attending Burkburnett HS (while living on Sheppard AFB) is any indication of a generic small town here…then I’m with you. I swear 90% of those folk’s gene pool is more like a circular lazy river: marrying each other out of high school, having kids at 20, and then their kids do the same. Granted Burk is practically Oklahoma, but that entire place was the most depressing monument to an oil boom town past filled with mostly people afraid of anything outside its tiny borders.
