  1. Here's a shocking <just shocking> article from nyt as they empty out their reporting on what they have on elmo as he "exits" DC
  2. Who needs lidar? Whether this is a robotaxi or "validation vehicle" it's very damning.
  3. fwiw Miller was rage tweeting about Musssk/Doge stuff earlier. also lulz
  4. She worked for the administration. Now she's left the government job. Don't know if she's Austin-bound or what. Apparently that's all confirmed. The sexual stuff seems to be just people reading too much into things. edit - but in case it is true, Miller does have a chance to do the funniest thing with Musssk's technically illegal status in the US.
  5. What if I told you that not only is Muskkk exiting the WH today but he's taking Stephen Miller's wife with him. Yep, she got a horse. Allegedly.
  6. WHOA SO CLOSE...she almost got hit! 🙏 Yet she looks so calm!
  7. Part 2 to Musk getting embarrassed over the OpenAI deal in the UAE is what happened today with the telegram / Grok "deal" - Musk may have realized it was embarrassing to himself so he killed his own deal. Kate Conger has a theory and it's plausible af.
  8. 16,000 mg of thc in a bag of edibles seems extreme but I'm no MD and have no idea what its effects would be. It's amazing the state can regulate alcohol percentages but can't figure out a way to regulate thc. Nanny state motherfuckers.
  9. It appears to be from labor interests so I believe they're making a political point. Also, perhaps, they see the company is about to crater and if he's working at least he's there to accept responsibility and lend to the illusion of his magnificent abilities.
  10. Investors tell Tesla BOD to require Muskkk works at least 40 hours a week https://www.cnbc.com/2025/05/28/tesla-investors-demand-musk-work-40-hour-week-at-ev-maker-amid-crisis.html ..
  11. If anyone wants to read the full article here's a no pw link https://archive.is/wegTc It's pretty much the epitome of NYT's he said/she said reporting but still interesting.
  12. Guy goes to work for DOGE. Gets assigned to the VA. Discovers the VA isn't inefficient like he thought, in fact, it's doing pretty well. Speaks to a reporter about his experience, cites real examples of how much the VA is doing. Gets fired.
  13. The depravity is a feature, not a bug.
  14. May 23 May 28 I have very negative opinions about the whole thing but this is still funny.
  15. Lots of wealthy, white families with small kids about to feel the pain of the administration trying to resolve the Great Au Pair Crime Spree.
  16. Saw a stat the other day that only 20% of the world's population had flown in an airline.
  17. Watched ep 1 the other day. The fact that the entire premise of the show rests on Hamm's failure to hire a lawyer to negotiate his exit agreement is off-putting.
  18. Very good show. Reminds me of Monk but more accessible. I, Jack Wright is an excellent new show on Britbox, too. There's so much to watch on that streamer. Up until the pandemic I didn't really care for British tv but between the pandemic and the severe decline in quality on netflix and hbo -- and almost total loss of shows on other US cable networks -- it's totally changed my opinion and viewing habits. I think @abuelo gringostarted a thread a few years back about British shows, if I'm not mistaken. I searched a couple months ago but couldn't find it.
  19. *this post has nothing to do with Brian Fantana. Though I hope he gets the mental assistance he requires.
  20. Same. I think it came up in another thread. It took me, as I recall, four in-person bank visits at least. We had a rental and an address we lived at. If you've opened an account at a new bank in the US lately even that's an agonizing hour of paper work, even if you're a citizen.
