  1. LOL and now this from Enshittification HQ... Your Amazon Prime Video subscription no longer includes Dolby Vision HDR or Dolby Atmos surround sound. Unless of course you pony up that $3 per month.
  2. They make a point to specify you're watching Mr & Mrs Smith "With Limited Advertising." IOW it's not as bad as it will be after they finish easing their way into it. I don't know about other tv series but it definitely impacts some movies negatively. We're on like ep 4 of M/Mrs Smith. Donald Glover's character is so fucking idiotic the show doesn't keep my attention. I can see why Phoebe Waller-Bridge walked off the set after 6 months.
  3. I wrote in the thread specifically about this disney/fox/hbod deal that the cable companies are losing their shit about the Iger sports package. I like this thread better for future discussion because it cuts across the entire industry. What disney/hbod/fox have planned is essentially a hulu lite product. I don't see the cable companies being able to stop it based on contractual issues and certainly not anti-trust but that won't stop 'em from trying, esp. Brian Roberts with Comcast. I'll be interested to see if Disney still plans the espn stand-alone product or figures out a way to roll it into a bundle with the new Joint Venture. This article is from last Friday - https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/companies/pay-tv-distributors-may-be-planning-their-attack-against-new-sports-joint-venture/ar-BB1ijUyj
  4. You may want to bookmark this to read later but the British Army Review today published a 56 page detailed study of the first battle of the war, the Battle of Irpin River. pdf link https://issuu.com/chacr_camberley/docs/wip_-_bar_special?fr=xKAE9_zU1NQ
  5. All the illegal drugs that motherfucker ingests and now he's worried about women taking birth control...So very odd that he's very concerned about the side effects of only one medication while at the same time hates reproductive rights, women's rights and wokeism. Also I'm pretty sure he microdoses estradiol.
  6. Bond would forestall the immediate enforcement of judgment. But to post a bond he'll need a licensed surety and they'll require full payment or maybe even more than full payment as Brisket wrote (or collateral may suffice? If that's allowed in NY). If he doesn’t post bond, he could still appeal, but in the meantime NY could start attaching liens and seizing goods and property.
  7. Next move is yours, Melanie.
  8. Re-posting and highlighting from the previous page - limits the ability to do crime through the business and with any existing assets.
  9. That was probably his first thought lol. The surety bond companies are going to require full payment to issue the bond anyway - because the chance of success on appeal is low. Whatever the laws pertaining to the origin of the money are...I'm sure his best and brightest are working on it. His business licenses now have an independent monitor though so that will (hopefully?) limit his opportunities to launder through foreign intermediaries, as he did before.
  10. Gonna need cold, hard cash, bish.
  11. I'm laughing so hard. Trump's business license in NY will NOT be canceled. But...
  12. Why did Taibbi suddenly become relevant for a half day anyway? Was it something to do with his being on the media team for an obese dude with dementia who shall not be named?
  13. An interesting fact about Nixon that may have changed history was that his first dream job was to work for the FBI and he actually got hired. But his job never started because it was cancelled due to budget cuts before his start day. Nixon was forced by circumstances to reject a place at Harvard Univ and attended a small liberal arts college instead, graduating summa cum laude, then on to Duke Law where he achieved academic distinction. This is in contrast to someone like umm what's his name...oh yes Tucker Carlson, who was a shitty student, went to a small catholic college where anyone with family connections or money could go, apparently avoided getting expelled, and thought that was enough that he'd be able to walk right into his dream job at the CIA but got flatly rejected. I was working on Capitol Hill in December 1992 and Nixon happened to be down the hall from me, giving well-wishes to a former House colleague who was retiring. I grabbed a (covered) copy of the US Constitution and a pen, and as he exited asked him to sign. He looked at me and wondered if I was trying to trick him but I just smiled and said please. He signed. Later I was told he gave out many, many autographs. He was nice to me but fuck him and and his pendejo buddy Henry.
  14. Spacex to Texas, Neuralink to Nevada - a possible explanation has evolved. I believe as someone has already pointed out in this thread Tx business law is basically the same as Delaware, so elmo's hope or assumption (or assurance from governor gurg) that Texas judges can be bought if they're not already owned. (DE has its own court system for corporate cases and moves through them rapidly and reliably, and their law and court system is the gold standard for investors) while Tx is still trying to set up a system but that's not what's important right now.) Ann Lipton, Tulane law prof, speculates about why NV for one Musk co, and TX for another. As codified in Nevada, the business judgment rule presumes directors and officers acted in good faith and on an informed basis, and allows for director or officer liability only when the plaintiff affirmatively rebuts the business judgment presumption and demonstrates that the fiduciary breach involved intentional misconduct, fraud, or a knowing violation of law. Unlike the strict “entire fairness” test applicable to interested transactions in Delaware and a number of other states, the statutory business judgment standard in Nevada provides the “sole avenue to hold directors and officers individually liable for damages arising from official conduct.” https://corpgov.law.harvard.edu/2021/05/08/nevada-supreme-court-holds-statutory-business-judgment-rule-applies-to-all-claims-against-corporate-officers-and-directors/
  15. Weirdly they just reincorporated Neuralink in Nevada. Also elmo lost his attempt to have his challenge to the NLRB structure (Spacex v NLRB) heard in a federal court in S Texas. It'll instead be heard in California's Central. The main significance is probably that an appeal will avoid the verrry neocon 5th District court of appeals. Elmo's losing argument Judge's order in favor of defendant (NLRB)
  16. It may also be to do a redux of the "we'd better let putin have Ukraine because otherwise he's going to nuke us" drama.
  17. It could also be used for Idris Elbas' S2 of Hijack on Apple+, which everyone is trying to figure out how he'd ever be on another plane that gets hijacked. Just when you thought it was safe to return to the skies, "Hijacked by Maggots."
  18. When you were young did you listen to "Lola" or "Get Back" or "Walk on the Wild Side" or perhaps Prince but these days do you find you're really upset about gender stuff being shoved down your throat, and that you're voting in favor of basically declaring war on "those types" of people? BTW that girl in NOLA you shouted at to show you her titties - her dick is bigger than yours.
  19. Just checked in on those used teslas Hertz announced last year they were selling.
  20. Cyberrust owners are now in love with rust. https://gizmodo.com/cybertruck-owners-say-their-stainless-steel-trucks-are-1851257880 Much like an addict on ketamine and cocaine, rust never sleeps.
  21. The cryptobitch sock is back. Go fuck yourself. See this guy. How old do you think he is?
