  1. I'm not sure if there's a good place to post this but I thought I'd share. If anyone here has progressive offspring who'd want to be a social media manager for a TX journalism site and has 3 years experience...
  2. Or an extra hundy, as @Gatorubetmight say.
  3. John Rocker, this fuckin' guy, says New Yorkers are fucked because now they won't be served pork lip hot dogs - only cabrito. Hmmm...
  4. Oral argument is ongoing and the prognasticators have done their thing. Looks like trump tariffs are going down.
  5. @G650apologies for being overly argumentative or dismissive. I need to do better.
  6. oops nm lol
  7. siap - this is quite something. Rehmet with more votes than the 2 Rs totaled in Tarrant County.
  8. Counterpoint: Their plans haven't changed. But now they know, in the House and Senate, and in the states, how vulnerable they are, esp in 2026.
  9. Where do I file a complaint with management that having someone on ignore doesn't stop their posts from appearing in last updates. afaf
  10. Probably. And nobody voted for that type of shit other than a small handful of lieunatic far-right mouthbreathers. Basically Jamelle Bouie's point. Will that encourage them to double down? Possibly!
  11. if you don't want to login to nyt to read Bouie https://archive.ph/4ujrF#selection-919.0-923.435
  12. There is right wing populism - where they pretend to be something they're not. Trump, for example. And it's distinct from left wing usage, ie Bernie Sanders and AOC. And that's why you're wrong in a nutshell. But whatever.
  13. An excellent essay Seven data-driven lessons from the 2025 elections - Democrats outran their polls and swept statewide races from Georgia to New Jersey, on an agenda of affordability and a broad anti-Trump backlash
  14. hopefully she runs for Senate. She'll win. There is a much wider definition of populist than the one you're using. Populist issues and grasping complexities aren't mutually exclusive by any means. LOL. Two Democratic women with national security experience won governorships in contested states yesterday, while the fascist party got wiped the fuck out across the board. There was massive turnout in CA on a single, complex issue all about defeating the fascist party. Which party needs to wholly reinvent itself? This clip below shows a simple thing - the fascist party is committed to their repulsive lies and hypocrisy, and churlish games.
  15. i'm violating a court order by posting this but uno mas
  16. They held a vote on that tonight but not enough people voted so it doesn't count.
