  1. Recent destruction at the hands of our big sisters in Norman and those portly lasses of B/CS likely left a bad impression on the committee. I'd have put TN over us, too. Glad we're not facing that Buckeye power game again. If we can right the ship and be the real Texas again, I'll feel a lot better about this season as a whole than I currently do. Let's rest up and rock it.
  2. Stoppable force meets movable object.
  3. Love giving up those leadoff walks when we're trying to climb out of a deep pit.
  4. Aggy K to leave them loaded in B9 with the tying run at 1B is the chef's kiss. Series lost to hapless Mizzou. But the hosts did finally score...unearned, on an E6. Heh.
  5. Nobody can hold down the Big Red Machine. Except most other pitchers.
  6. So much for that 0.00 ERA.
  7. Early this spring I heard him say (I think on Coffee & Football) that there was a concern about signing Canady for big money when we already had a budding ace in TK and good team chemistry to protect. Yes, hindsight is 20/20, but I wonder if we now shift our perspective. Not that we'd necessarily have won the Canady bidding war last offseason, but maybe we push harder to find true difference makers.
  8. The Vivi loss was to me catastrophic. The self-destruction of Mac (and maybe we could include Simpson) hasn't been as impactful, but it's hurt us week after week. Seems they and Cit, to some extent, have in turn hurt Kavan. Terrible cascading effect, especially facing SEC competition every week. Maybe White just hasn't had pitching options he trusts enough to pull girls as quickly as some other HCs at top programs do. If that's true, can't say I blame him. But in the end, I assume all HCs (great career records or not) would say the buck stops with them on everything. Like every other Texas fan, I'm desperately hoping we find our way out of this dark maze pronto and that it's a positive springboard for 2026, no matter exactly when 2025 ends.
  9. With the way our men and women played yesterday, I needed something to smile about. Aggy baseball's epic crash and burn in the 9th vs. formerly winless Mizzou was just the ticket. Thanks, baby bro!
  10. They won over pig in 10, which obviously helped us. Looking for any good news right now. https://www.secsports.com/scores/baseball/louisiana-state-university?date=2025-05-09
  11. Every single bit of this. If this team doesn't shape up pronto (highly unlikely) and then, come fall, have much better talent at several positions (besides Vivi) and better coaching, we might realize Mike White is just a much more likable Tom Herman. By that I mean way better than the previous HC, but not the ultimate answer as a roster builder, tactician or leader. Although I'm honestly not sure who out there would be.
  12. Getting run-ruled today might be the best thing that could happen to us.
  13. We're not the most talented team, despite what some think. But most of what's wrong right now is mental. No confidence in themselves or their coaches. We still have a few exceptions to that statement, but they can't do it all. And none of them is among our pitchers who've been serving up raw meat.
  14. Henry is feast or famine.
  15. Preparing myself for 7 innings of liners smashed at Bennett in RF and her batting with 2 outs and RISP. Let's win anyway.
  16. Credit where due to OU. They just find ways.
  17. A better/more experienced pitching coach might have helped the entire staff this year. But in the end, I can't ignore that our HC was a storied pitcher in men's softball. He shares in the questionable use/development of this staff. But whatever. I felt going into this year we needed another proven arm, and that's how it's played out so far.
  18. Awesome development. He's long and quick: my kind of DB. Hopefully he shuts it down right now, but we know LSU is always lurking on these guys.
  19. White smoke, Black Sox: another scandal waiting to happen
  20. That's exactly the kind of freak athlete that can put a really good team over the top by making some special plays. Henry Shelton says hi.
  21. I was thinking of the teams, not the fans. But your point is valid.
