  1. All done with the fireplace and I squared off the area to the right. Need to paint that cabinet the correct color (Same as the fireplace and trim work of the house) and the walls from the drywall work. Looks much better, but still not quite perfect. After I do the paint work I'll see if that fixes it or not. The doors are being built for me. I'm having the whole kitchen redone and I'm not up for the amount of work that would require to do it. So the guy doing the custom cabinets is going to make two doors so they exactly match with the kitchen ones for me. It's the half zoom so makes everything look smaller than it is. Also gives an illusion that the right side is bowed up, but it's not. It's an 85" frame tv for reference
  2. I have a Jet that's the same idea as the HF above. With drainage tubes and joints to some hose to all my big tools. For big chips you want the extra air volume of the dust collector. For the miter saw and sanders I have a Dust extractor that does better with very fine dust. I have almost zero dust when sanding with my festool and Cubitron sand paper. Because of the dust extractor that sand paper lasts forever too
  3. 2/18 with an out if he implodes in an incredible deal for Neris. Love that guy and his fire. He's worth every penny of that
  4. I want that Festool track saw bad. But Milwaukee's is supposed to be very good, dewalt is supposed to be solid. For a short fix and like $100 the Kreg jig that hooks up to any circular saw works decently well
  5. 1 guy runs into the glass if funny enough, not sure the Browns part 2. Lenore was Bill's lady on King of the Hill. Kelce I guess kind of looks like him. I thought it was reasonably funny 3. Do you even Star Wars bro?
  6. That's the only real hole I see on the team. Yes you can always upgrade spots if you have infinite money and prospects. But a hitter on the bench that can play adequate OF/1B would be nice. Just don't really think that guy is out there outside of maybe Soler? I don't know if he's ever taken a ball at first in his life though. He turned down the 13mm option he had, which seems crazy to me for him. So he's either looking for just a longer term deal or way more money. I don't think the Astros would be interested in either I also have no idea why Joc is a 12.5 mm player either.
  7. I have no basis in fact here, but for some reason I think Pena is a hard enough worker and coachable enough that he's going to be decent this season. Not 2022 ALCS/WS great, but a solid, borderline All Star. Maybe it's just hope, but just a feeling I have.
  8. My ex was single for a long time. She had a full time nanny so did things pretty much whenever she wanted. It took some huge changes from her to understand that while I will pretty much never say no to her, just talk to me about it first so we can make sure plans align, and look at the calendar because it's all on there. About once a week I do enjoy fucking with her and making her feel like I am upset she's hanging with her friends. For two reasons 1. She always has a "so the girls wanted to do xyz" instead of just saying what it is and what she wants and 2. Because she always comes to me thinking I'll be upset and I never am. I think good partners want their partner to have fun and enjoy life. I'm a homebody, but doesn't mean I won't go along or let her go somewhere without me. I do always find it funny when she starts "Do you want to" which the answer is pretty much no. But usually she catches herself and restarts with "Can we go" or "Will you go with me".
  9. Factually not true. Guys get moved out of CF that are excellent there all the time to save their bodies. Springer for example. Everyone thinks Judge should move and he likely will long term. Either way, you compare 3Bs to 3Bs and RPs to RPs for greatness. Not every SP can be a closer, not every closer could be a SP. And I agree by nature I'd value elite SP over elite RP, but there are plenty of non elite SPs in the hall.
  10. No, RP is a position, as is SP. Just like CF, LF, RF are all OFs and the other are IFs. He should be in, there is no rational argument against it. Elite RPs make as much or more money than #2s in most cases. And depending on years of service more than #1 starters.
  11. See that's the problem with the idiotic system we have. If he's a hall of famer he's a hall of famer. Blocking how many people you can vote for, this dumb ass "he's not a first balloter" and the most idiotic "he used steroids even though it wasn't tested for and we also know everyone was doing it" are just stupid. The baseball writers of old are basically the umpires, stuck in their ways and abusing their power If the ten best players at a position aren't in the hall, what the fuck is going on? And Billy is inarguably one of the ten best closers of all time. That may change, but of retired guys it's not arguable.
  12. Like pulls them up into my stomach, not a fan
  13. I don't think that's even close to true on Meyers. He doesn't have enough value to bring back a piece we would deem better because that's not usually how trades work. And we don't have the talent to package with him. He has talent and he has value, just not quite enough.
  14. I mean, anything's a dildo if you want it bad enough...
  15. Yep. The problem with Meyers is that Dusty was starting him intentionally over Chas. It's not that he's not a reasonable OF on a good team as a back up or spot fill. He's actually likely upper echelon in the league as a bench player. We need some depth, but a LF just to have a LF is a bit silly. Meyers in CF and Chas in LF is pretty solid with Yordan at DH. Same goes if we DH Chas on a day with Yordan in LF. Chas or Yordan out of the lineup in favor of Meyers is just dumb AF though.
  16. Anyone else dream of a Delta unisaw because that's what Norm used?
  17. Yes, but they are heavy beast of a saw. I'd need to grab a trailer from a buddy and then still get it on there. And even then they hold their value. There is one posted for 2700 in the Houston area right now. Not even the one I want, but new that saw is 3800 and that one is 20 years old. Probably more than it cost new as the used price So makes more sense to me to get the saw stop new given the tech advantages and improvements over the last 10-15 years in saws
  18. I really want a powermatic, but yes, sawstop is what I've been eyeing lately. But hard to talk the wife into one given I just bought a festool sander, Kapex and dust extractor. Even with me redoing half the house haha
  19. I need want things in my workshop. An 8 inch jointer, which frankly I can work without and have forever. But I have a 20 year old Delta contractor saw that is true, but is dust hell even with the mods I've made to close it in. And it's just not as powerful as I'd like. But damn, 3500 for a table saw that I want is rough
  20. Yep, gas logs. She lit it and went to the other room. She likes to do that with TVs too, turn them on then leave the room. Those cause less houses to burn down though
  21. My wife owns her own salon and is a hairdresser. That's amateur hour... I like to play a game of removing things from the shower, drying them off and putting them back under her cabinet. I get it down to about 20 things and then it slowly grows again back to 100
  22. One of the reasons I don't have a jointer is because I want an 8" and not the 6" and haven't found a good enough deal yet. And from what I've seen it's definitely the way to go if you can.
