  1. When I moved here, old timers were crying about all these tech companies taking over Austin. Motorola, Tracor, TI, IBM. That was 1979.

  3. If Biden walked up the Hill and said he is prepared to testify if Trump is, would he benefit?
  4. Toomey Proposes a ‘One-for-One’ Deal on Witnesses Sen. Patrick Toomey (R-PA), an influential conservative in the Senate, has spoken with several colleagues in recent days about possibly summoning just two witnesses to President Trump’s impeachment trial, with one called by Republicans and one by Democrats, the Washington Post reports. “Toomey has confided to GOP senators that proposing a ‘one-for-one’ deal with Senate Democrats may be necessary at some point, particularly with pressure mounting for witnesses to be called… He has argued that such an arrangement could force Democrats to accept a Republican witness against their wishes or else risk having Republicans move ahead to acquit Trump.”
  5. Keep your fucking hands off my NPR, bitch.
  6. Hummus Soaked a 1 lb bag of dry garbanzos overnight in salty water in the fridge. Pressure cooked them for 25 minutes, naturally released, blended with lemon juice, garlic, then added a cup of tahini, cumin to blender using water from pressure cooker to make perfectly smooth. Served with olive oil and paprika on top along with fresh hot naan off the skillet, also easy to make. https://www.pressurecookrecipes.com/instant-pot-hummus/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8. Anyone recall Lebanese pedo George Nader, Israeli Joel Zamel from Psy Group from Mueller report? This is from November 2018. Senior Saudi officials close to the crown prince met with business leaders, including an Israeli, last year to inquire about the possibility of using private firms to assassinate prominent Iranian officials and hamstring the Tehran’s economy, The New York Times reported on Sunday. The Israeli present at the meeting was Joel Zamel, a strategist with an intelligence background whose now defunct Psy-Group firm is under investigation by the FBI and is suspected of pitching a media manipulation plan for Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign. Also involved in the talks of potential regime change in Iran was Lebanese-American businessman George Nader, a representative of the United Arab Emirates, who reportedly set up the meeting. During one meeting in Riyadh in March 2017, aides to Maj. Gen. Ahmed al-Assiri broached the possibility of assassinating top Iranian enemies of the kingdom, including Qassim Suleimani, the leader of the paramilitary Quds force of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps, the Times reported.
  9. With a few exceptions, one which we note below, scientific data supports pressure cooking as one of the cooking methods that preserve the most vitamins1. It’s important to note that, to date, we have not found a comprehensive study on the vitamin and mineral retention on a significant selection of pressure cooked vegetables. None of the studies we did find addressed steaming those vegetables in the pressure cooker – only boiling them under pressure. Research on the pressure cooker’s effect on food is a hodgepodge of studies conducted in different countries, laboratories and conditions, using just one or a few select vegetables that measure the effect of pressure cooking on just one vitamin, mineral or antioxidant. A well done 2007 study published by The Journal of Food Science2 measured Vitamin C retention in broccoli using five cooking methods. The researchers pressure cooked broccoli at high pressure (15PSI/1 bar or 250F/121C) for two minutes and found that 92% of the vitamin C was retained compared to 78% retention for conventional steaming. These findings contradict an earlier study published in the same journal3 that documented a high loss of antioxidants in broccoli after pressure cooking. However, the authors of this earlier study conceded that these nutrients were not actually lost but, instead, transferred to the cooking liquid.
  10. It is my understanding pressure cooking preserves more of the foods nutrients than any other cooking method.

  12. My Dad swears that he and his family lived in same apartment building in Brooklyn in 1975 as us. That’s been the story since. I liked him in many roles but especially as the chiropractor in Jacob’s Ladder. And I will always like him in The Professional.
  13. I would add Yazoo because Vince Clarke founded them, Depeche Mode, and Erasure.
