  1. Exactly. It's akin to drafting a great QB with the first pick of the NFL draft and then seeing him struggle his rookie year when you start him immediately behind your mediocre to bad O line and not great WR's. You shouldn't label that QB a bust in that scenario when sometimes it takes time for players to develop. If, and it's a big if, but like you said if we win the last 2 games this team will have gone 8-4 with a huge win over OU and not getting blown out by anybody including Bama. I'm pretty sure most rational posters on this board would have taken that before the season started.
  2. The way our line was run blocking that would have been 3 and outs also unfortunately. The TCU D would not have been tired in the 4th quarter either unless tackling our RB’s at the line of scrimmage tired them out. It looked like our OL in the interior were totally whiffing on blocking the TCU players.
  3. We should have that not next year but the year after. Possibly next year if some of the current Freshmen OL really develop over the summer but not likely. The year after we will have a line of Juniors and Sophomores that will be as good as any in the country.
  4. First time seeing the video of Worthy versus what I saw from being at the game live. Worthy leaving will be addition by subtraction if we go get a WR with some fight in him that can catch. He either dropped the ball or for some reason does not come back for the ball to help his QB out but instead falls away from contact. I get he has speed but any decent NFL scout will shy away from him based on this type of film. They want guys that will fight for the ball and not hang their QB out to dry. On that first throw Ewers may have been late but look at Worthy falling away from the ball allowing the defender to knock it away. If that was a legit WR he comes back for that ball and he catches that shit.
  5. Josh McDaniels could be available any minute.
  6. Haven't paid attention today but where are we at with the House. We still have another few weeks until we know the final numbers? Last I heard it sounded like the Republicans will be winning it definitely but not sure if they will be at 218-222 majority. That sound right?
  7. That is just ridiculous. Hicks isn’t coming here and we need to stop with these crazy dream scenarios. It’s obviously to make room for Will Anderson Jr. to transfer to UT from Alabama.
  8. I would trade Worthy portaling elsewhere for Stewart and Moose in a cocaine heartbeat.
  9. Can the Republican party afford to lose X million number of MAGA votes next election cycle? I don't think so with how close many states are.
  10. What is interesting to me is based on that poll where Desantis is at 42% and Trump at 35%, what happens if Desantis wins the primary? Do the 35% MAGA's go out and vote for Desantis or do they stay home. Staying home would be disastrous for the Republicans (hate to see it).
  11. I wonder if the 5 seats that flipped are in really crime ridden areas or did the scare tactic work on people living in safe places but were afraid the big, bad crime wave from NYC was going to come get them.
  12. Did we get any feedback from recruits at the game, good or bad?.
  13. Your boyfriend must be really talented to be both a florist and a dentist.
  14. In that case, no I am not a sark fanboi. I hope it works out and our team wins but I could give two shits who our coach is and if Sark loses enough games he will be shown the door and hopefully the next guy is better. I still think the talent is too young on this team and that leads to mistakes which leads to close losses.
  15. Yes I am a big sark Stan whatever that is. Nothing I wrote was incorrect.
  16. We will win this game and hopefully Baylor also but I am more worried about the Baylor game than this one.
  17. Does he under use him? Maybe look at the game tape and see how many times J Whitt is open on plays? There were quite a few plays where none of our guys had any separation. Tom Brady would have trouble throwing to guys that are totally covered with a pocket collapsing around him. Not saying Ewers or Sark are doing a great job either but I am pretty sure Sark’s offense isn’t Ewers hike the ball your first read every time is to chuck it 40 yards downfield to Worthy. Even at Alabama he just have his offense throw it deep all day long. The o-line can’t run block or pass block so that leads to shitty offense. Until that gets fixed it doesn’t matter who is calling plays.
  18. Are you sure about the more with less? Is their O line better than our O Line? Is their QB better than ours? How bout the defensive players compared to ours? Do they have more depth and experience? Below is their starting offense. Looks to me like a very experienced unit loaded with upper classmen. Their O line is 4 RS seniors and 1 RS junior. The Defense of theirs is similar but they do have one freshman starting at NT I believe. Let’s see how great Dykes does with a less experienced roster. Maybe he is the next great coach and they will go undefeated or lose a game here or there for the next decade. I am guessing this is their “year that everything fell in place” and he goes back to being the 3-5 loss a year coach he was at Cal and SMU. Once again, I am not saying Sark is the answer and will be great here. He probably flames out in another 2 years based on what we have seen, but we are starting and playing way too many true freshman or RS freshman which shows how shitty the roster was that was left to him. In 2 years our OL will be mostly juniors with tons of experience and they will be dominant so whomever is coaching the team then will have the advantage of being able to pound the football with the run and get good pass protection which will lead to a really good offense. It all starts in the trenches. WR-X 1 Johnston, Quentin JR 00 Conwright, Blair RS JR 6 Jackson, Chase RS FR WR-Z 18 Williams, Savion JR 87 Nowell, Blake RS SO 7 Hudson, Jordan FR WR-Y 12 Spivey, Geor'Quarius RS SR/TR 80 Rogers, D'Andre RS FR 81 Curtis, Chase SR/TR WR-H 4 Barber, Taye SR 11 Davis, Derius SR 27 Henderson, Gunnar SR/TR LT 77 Coleman, Brandon RS JR/TR 71 Williams, Marcus RS JR 55 Rochester, Robby SO/TR LG 79 Avila, Steve RS SR 76 Hayes, Garrett RS SO 58 Barlow, Altrique RS SO 75 Brown, Brannon RS JR OC 56 Ali, Alan RS SR/TR 52 Dotson-Oyetade, Ezra RS FR/TR RG 53 Lanz, John RS SR 78 Harris, Wes RS SR 66 Bolticoff, Noah RS FR RT 74 Coker, Andrew RS JR 68 Nichols, Michael RS SO 72 Lott, Jasper RS FR TE 19 Wiley, Jared SR/TR 84 DiNunzio, Dominic RS JR 47 Ware, Carter RS SR QB 15 Duggan, Max SR 2 Morris, Chandler RS SO/TR 16 Jackson, Sam RS FR RB 33 Miller, Kendre JR 3 Demercado, Emari RS SR/TR 17 Battle, Trent RS FR 9 Bailey, Emani JR/TR 21
  19. I didn’t say Dykes was a bad head coach but that team has upper class men playing and Patterson apparently had worn out his welcome. Let’s see if Dykes turns them into a power house year after year or if they become the typical 8-9 win team with an occasional great year and some pretty poor years also. The guy ain’t the second coming is all I am saying. Our OL is terrible (but will be good in a year or so when our guys get older) and that is really hurting the offense right now.
  20. Yeah, I think my left nut is still frozen to one of the bleachers.
  21. You dont like the work of Bill O Brien, Rome Crennel, Matt Patricia, Josh McDaniels as head coaches?
  22. At least it’s an improvement right? Listen, Sark probably isnt the guy and will get fired after 2 more years if the W-L record still sucks but I don’t see another coach really doing much with this team as it is currently constructed either. Sonny Dykes wouldn’t have this team playing any better. That guy ain’t the next Nick Saban and based on what I have seen from TCU this year they barely won a bunch of games against a mediocre Big 12. I may be wrong but is TCU starting a freshmen QB, freshmen OL, Freshmen CB etc… TCU will get destroyed in the playoffs against OSU or UGA once the Big 12 refs aren’t calling their games. Duggan was not that impressive last night but their WR is a total stud. Better than anyone we had on the field last night.
  23. I can’t remember but I think it was their first TD but that TCU offense did nothing all night and then the QB ran and got the edge for 10 plus yards I think based on a obvious hold by the right tackle (right in front of the ref and it was the only reason the play sprung). The next play or so was the long run that only got sprung because they held Watts right at the point of attack where the runner was and that was also really obvious. Listen, Sark sucks, Ewers sucks, the Oline sucks, PK sucks, you name it BUT it seems whether we are home or on the road that the Big 12 refs are going to make it tough on Texas and that is some BS.
