For anyone unfamiliar, these things give the holder the right to buy a CFP championship game ticket at face value ($800 for lower level, $450 for upper). You buy them for a specific team, they can be bought and sold on the secondary market, and if your team does not make the championship game, you're SOL.
They initially went on sale in August, before the season started. I started tracking the top 11 teams at that time. Obviously some of them became worthless (FSU, Michigan, Ole Miss) once it became clear those teams had no chance of making the playoff, while new teams emerged as the season went on.
Trading has halted as of late Saturday evening. It resumes Sunday afternoon after the playoff field is announced. Same charts with different Y scales.
You can see from the first chart that us, tOSU, and Georgia have been far and away the most valuable teams throughout the year. Oddly, I recorded today's data after our SECCG loss, and our value was unaffected. I don't get that. Oregon has been a great value all year, IMO. Bama and Tennessee both had their day in the sun in the middle of the season.
