  1. So what? If it’s a player you actually care about, then that’s when you call the bluff, not now. Steph Curry told the Golden State Warriors not to draft him, because he wanted to play for the Knicks. The Warriors drafted him anyways, because they actually valued him as a prospect, and it worked out pretty well. Shit like this happens all the time and when the player is good enough, teams don’t give a damn.
  2. Why? What’s the upside for the team doing it? You’re going to get a bunch of annoying media around for a kid you don’t even want.
  3. It didn’t take much strong arming, no team was genuinely interested in Bronny as a prospect anyway. Another team taking him just would’ve been a ploy to try to get Lebron, but if Bronny’s camp is saying don’t draft him, that’s Lebron telling you that ploy wouldn’t work.
  4. This is a terrible draft, but Knecht is good value at this point.
  5. Not even on his list of schools he’s focusing on though.
  6. DB recruiting is more annoying to me right now than DL recruiting. At least Baker just got here, what’s Gideon’s and Joseph’s excuse? We’re already talking about flipping 3-stars from SMU.
  7. Zero percent chance he wins that if he’s still committed to SMU. Everything else could’ve been the same. That’s how dumb shit like this works.
  8. He just committed to aggy, so I doubt he’s still coming in for his visit next week.
  9. Big dude. Could play multiple spots on the D-line.
  10. I don’t even know what he posted.
  11. This is a super weak draft too. Sliding in this class is embarrassing.
  12. Reading comprehension not a strength of yours, I take it.
  13. What happened? I’m still trying to figure out what it is. Maybe this recruiting class is just developing too slow, too many long periods where nothing is happening? Maybe the nature of 9.95ers have changed and they aren’t hyping recruiting enough? Did the transfer portal take all the juice out of HS recruiting? Or maybe the football team is just finally good so all of our hopes and attention are invested in the present instead of a couple of years in the future.
  14. Fred Hoiberg has made one sweet 16 in his career. He’s been at Nebraska for 5 years, this year was his first making the tourney, and he got stomped in the first round by a mediocre aggy team.
  15. I said that was the biggest head scratcher at the time, and it’s even more so now. Carlton and Oldacre are going to need to be bigger contributors right away than I think was initially planned.
  16. I always felt like all 3 would for sure go to the same school, but the 3rd brother, Isaiah, has some smaller offers, so I wasn’t sure if he was willing to be a walk-on or not. I’m glad that he is.
  17. No he doesn’t? Don’t know what stats you’re looking at but Sorrell and Chaisson have the same exact number of career sacks right now and Sorrell has played in more games than Chaisson did. Also, Sorrell is a good college football player, which is what this conversation was originally about. You can say that Chaisson didn’t live up to his immense hype, I’d agree with that. But he was still a good college player.
  18. He only played two seasons. He tore his ACL in the season opener and redshirted one of those years. And NFL stuff doesn’t matter when talking about how good of a college player someone was.
  19. The reason why people had to use terms like “underrated gems” is because he wasn’t landing the top guys. So yeah, people were maybe polishing turds, but there was still an acknowledgement that he wasn’t landing the top guys. I think Bo Davis was a really good coach here and he helped turn around the culture. But recruiting hasn’t been a strength for a while for him, and people here came to grips with that before he left.
