  1. Just saw the Jomboy video of the UGA pitcher this morning. Will anything come of it?
  2. You should regret this, why even try to reason with it?
  3. Isn't it to make republican's vote and if democrats join to stop this nonsense, she can yell about how all the rinos and the Biden agenda, blah, blah, blah. At what point do republicans kick her out of the party? They could bury her with a few simple acts.
  4. Seriously, why did NowThis go away? Pretty sure most of us don't really care if you like being pegged, no kink shaming.
  5. FBI informant is under indictment for lying about Hunter's laptop on behalf of Russia. JFC, this fucking country and its idiots.
  6. Ah, a covid denying freak, that makes sense. Broken brain disease.
  7. Is there a way to hear the Stern interview without a Sirius subscription?
  8. How can the judge sentence him to having to attend one of his kids’ graduations before he’s been convicted? Let the man golf already!
  9. Holy shit, like I know half the country is braindead and agree, but it’s still jarring to see someone actually type or say that they think Trump has even an ounce of honesty in him, like seriously, the human brain is seriously regressing.
  10. Bats are definitely better, Schubert hit 4 home runs last night against the Shockers. Pitching is good overall but we give up a lot of home runs. It feels like a lot of them are solo shots out of pure luck. Friday hasn’t been ace thus far though. Should be a good series.
  11. Definitely agree he should do that, not sure how big a difference it would make, but every vote counts.
  12. Have you seen how the young liberals light up when a Starbucks or While Foods unionizes? Did you see them posting when airline maintenance workers won a contract? It’s not just steel unions at play. As a general matter, they see unions as a pushback on big corporations. He’s not perfect, but goddamned, he’s about as liberal as one can expect from an 80 year old white guy from Scranton. He’s also evolved a ton over his 50 year career, i.e., his views have “progressed” with the times. Meanwhile the hyenas on the right are literally clamoring for the 1950s again (except the tax rates which they seem to forget).
  13. He cannot go “Free Palestine” without losing a shit ton of older moderate democrats, you know, people who actually vote. The kids who say they won’t vote for him probably weren’t getting out of bed to vote anyway. The youths were supposed to start saving us like 20 years ago, and yet, here we are.
  14. Kinda hard to clean up after yourselves when you’re run off with pepper spray. How about sending in a couple of bike cops to say “hey guys just here to make sure things don’t get out of hand, and please clean up after yourselves when you take off.” But that’s not what this is about of course, hence Hotwheels’ Gestapo.
  15. I disagree about abandoning the original message. The problem was suppression of speech based on its content. Changing the message feels like giving in. I can see making it more about pushing back, but abandoning the message altogether doesn't feel right. The ACLU represented the KKK for crying out loud on the principal of free speech regardless of content.
  16. I generally do not encounter these types, so I can't really comment. My proposal was just a theory.
  17. I sort of think that the current form of female empowerment includes being choosier about sexual partners, which makes the incel types furious. An earlier wave of feminism included "sexual liberation" as a response to centuries where being "virtuous" was a requirement for women and any sex other than with a husband for the sole purpose of having babies was frowned upon. Of course the latter end of that era involved women being labeled sluts and whores while men were considered studs and players. I think what we're seeing now is a pushback against that era. Just a theory.
  18. Who could have seen that coming? All they had to do was let them protest last week. If they started to camp out, try to move them later in the evening. If they refuse, just accept that they aren't causing much harm, and the academics should step in and let them know they've been heard but cant camp overnight. If that doesn't work, let them tire themselves out. Unless and until there is violence, let them be for fucks sake. The only violence is coming from the response.
  19. I get the argument about the internet and smartphones, but didn't that also make it way easier to get on an app and find some rando to bang on any given night? Referring back to my prior post, my early 20's niece has said how gross she and her friends think Tinder is and consider it an older millennial think to just bang whoever swipes the right direction.
  20. Every team with a serviceable QB pays out the ass, that's one thing that's pretty constant across the league.
  21. I think a big part of it is that being a "prude" isn't as big a deal as in prior generations, but girls in particular are more empowered and can be far choosier in whether to have sex, and with whom, without losing social capital. I think it goes along with trends in which the younger generations don't binge drink or do hard drugs as much as older generations did at their age, and the social pressures to do those things is far less. I've seen it with my niece who is now in her early 20s and my daughter who is in middle school. I also think the internet phenomenon isn't just about online porn, but how gross dudes can be in dm's,etc. As a result, young girls either lose interest in being sexually active that early, or are far choosier. An article that was posted here (I think, or I saw it elsewhere) talked about how girls in Gen Z and Gen Alpha often wear socks with sandals because of all the gross requests for feet pics they get if they are barefoot or in sandals. I see some correlation on that topic. TLDR: Dudes are gross, girls are finally catching on.
  22. I tuned in right at the beginning of the comeback. What a kick in the nuts. Luca definitely looked tired. That's gonna be a problem for sure. Either way, I don't see either LAC or DAL having any real chance at beating the Thunder.
  23. Not a huge cost by today's NFL standards and he conceivably can be productive in limited situations. In a vacuum, I don't have a problem with the signing. The broader picture is still a clusterfuck.
