  1. That's not how math works. Edit: Or you're leaving out a key piece of info such as "I now have a homestead exemption or ag exemption or..."
  2. Nothing. I'd never get it past anti-stall. But to be a passenger, now you're talking.
  3. I have a CM 2HP dust collector - you can disconnect the hose that leads to the bag and it will work like you described. That works great for most tools but for things like my sander, the shop vac's higher velocity air flow seems to work better. The CM also uses bigger hoses so those will be more expensive but the actual unit itself isn't bad. https://www.harborfreight.com/35-gallon-2-hp-high-flow-high-capacity-dust-collector-59726.html
  4. You misunderstand me. I'm taking this very seriously. I see the end game and I'm not saying we shouldn't discuss what happens if Texas doesn't back down. I'm commenting on how quickly we've pivoted to killing (current) citizens and burning cities to the ground. It's all talk (for now), I get it - just not comfortable talk to this weenie lib.

    Measles

Vaccines only work if a critical mass gets them because as @SquishMitten mentioned, they are not 100% effective. You need 99% of the herd to be 80% protected to effectively ward off the disease (making up numbers here).
  6. This secession talk is starting to bring out the MAGA in some of you... Or shit, maybe I am weenie lib after all.
  7. That's pretty slick. I haven't heard of Uncle Straps before - how does he make the metal bracelets? Is he designing the links themselves and sending the design to a forge house?
  8. If Texas secedes, can certain areas elect out and stay with the US? Would that require federal control of said holdout? Asking for a friend. In Austin. Named Austin.
  9. Bits and Bits for.... bits. https://bitsbits.com/ Amazon for clamps and squares - they actually have a lot of good quality options there. Just have to do research elsewhere on the various woodworking forums or reddit.
  10. I miss the days when I was young and thought this shit didn't matter. Now it's just a year long anxiety attack every 4 years.
  11. I'm planning on upgrading to a Sawstop soon. My argument to my wife is "$2500 is a shit ton cheaper than a new finger". And I've had a few scares on my current saw, especially as my hands get fatigued running 20 boards through the saw.
  12. Buy a higher end 6" jointer, IMO. Longer is more important than width and coplanarity is the most important characteristic. The coplanarity is much easier to achieve and maintain on the more expensive machines. I would spend 100% of my budget maximizing the length and coplanarity. If you need to do boards wider than 6", build a router sled (that's what I did when I gave up on my shitty 8" jointer). Just be sure to nail the flatness of your reference board.
  13. Texas DPS had sexual assault cases at over 18k back in 2017. 26k isn't that far fetched given many probably don't make it to arrest. Though many don't also lead to pregnancy but regardless, these numbers are all not good.
  14. He went to Tech. Fuck him.
  15. I noticed this with the last "discount" golf glove I tried - one fit fine, the other way too snug despite both being a L. Foot Joys have always been consistent. Regardless of glove brand, even playing weekly (at least), my gloves last a while. A 4 pack is probably enough to get me through most of the year.
  16. Roster next year is looking like a total dumpster fire. He'll have to hit the portal hard but with what momentum? This feels very akin to Shaka's last year here - painful to watch, mediocre at best, and looming shit show on the horizon. Beard comes in, manufactures mojo, and we are able to construct a monster of a roster out of the portal. Really hoping history repeats itself...
  17. I just change my club from a 60 to a GW (49 degree I think), choke down a little and alter my landing target to be considerably closer to me (so like 25% of the way to the hole instead of 75% of the way) but otherwise use the exact same stance, motion, swing thought as I do with my 60. GW will roll a ton more than a 60. Takes time to get the feel for it but I like the consistency between the two and use both equally.
  18. And buy her lots of candy and sugary drinks when on the course/range. All the positive reinforcements in the world!
  19. Oooor, work on chipping/pitching. At least for me, my irons can come and go - it's the most minute difference in angle of face/path that can make a monumental difference in ball flight and if it's off, it's damn hard to get it back during a round. With my short game now, I'm very confident it's always there to bail me out. Short game is also a lot easier to practice daily. My mentality is every birdie putt I get is a bonus. I play for the up and downs.
  20. They have a ton of shitty logos they have to deal with (with some awful colors to compliment an orange/black car) but I like the orange/black balance going more dark side overall. Probably best they can manage given the sponsors unless the sponsors will go black and white.
  21. Love it - I have a vintage (60s?) Stanley jointer plane and a vintage Japanese plane (equivalent to a 4.5). Recently had them tuned up and they are amazing to work with now. Those steels last incredibly well.
  22. That definitely paints a much more accurate picture of the state of things at A&M.
  23. Portal rankings should be net of what you lost. Of course you're going to add 20 bodies from the portal - you lost 25.
