  1. So, still undefeated?
  2. Wasn't/isn't she recently divorced? He's telling her the obvious: I feel the same way, I'm not happy either, etc and she can relate. Maybe it's true. Maybe he feels a connection and his marriage is in it's last stages. But fuck man, you are still a CEO, she is still a direct report, and you are STILL fucking married. Take care of your shit. Be a fucking man, be open and honest, tell your wife it's time to move on, and THEN maybe you can play the field once the paperwork is completed. You're a public figure. Nobody would give two shits if they put a Joe-blow on blast at a concert and over the years, we know that they have. Astronomer is seems isn't public, but one of their main backers, Bain Capital sure isn't too happy right now. As a CEO you have a certain number of responsibilities that extend past just your house and personal life. Username checks out!
  3. hu·bris /ˈ(h)yo͞obrəs/ noun excessive pride or self-confidence.
  4. Fuck around and find out Play stupid games, win stupid prizes Actions have consequences Don't write a check your ass can't cash Playing with fire, etc.... The endless list of similar quips that perfectly encapsulate what happened are mainstream for a reason. Shit, the Germans have a word for it that we are know: schadenfreude
  5. Do we know if there is a prenup? If so, does this dude really GAF? Beyond getting outed on the jumbotron, it's a massive, pubic event that you have to consider people will see you. It's pretty brazen
  6. I'll be sure to stay off your lawn
  7. Because he's a CEO, ergo the Devil
  8. Wife walking into the divorce attorney's office the next day
  9. Book was amazing, and I actually liked the movie.
  10. Tell that to Jimmy Blevins.... "You ain't never been struck by lightning. You don't know what it's like"
  11. Need to get a house by the water and a boathouse. Wait for the levels to drop as they did in '23 Place a few Halloween skeletons in choice areas around sed dock Wait for the next drought
  12. Never skimp on tires....ask me how I know....
  13. Get some old TRX straps with a carabiner clasp. Push down, pull back. You can do that continuously or until you meet Jeebus.
  14. The power of the fap compels you..... Dead hanging is great. Both for the strength it builds but also for the stretching. That and farmer carries - either with large kettlebells or a hex-bar. At the end of the day just do hard shit as often as you can. Sweat a lot. Sleep a lot. Drink a lot of water. And eat real food. Rucked yesterday in the hilliest part of the neighborhood and it had to be 100+ degrees outside. That's a kick in the dick. 2 miles. 35 minutes. 50lbs.
  15. This is great - they are far and away my favorite brand. My two+ decade old Seamaster will forever be my favorite.
  16. This is great - they are far and away my favorite brand. My two+ decade old Seamaster will forever be my favorite.
  17. This is the end game - when interest paid on debt eclipses yearly GDP.....we have a problem.
  18. We were in San Diego a few weeks back and off the road, tucked back between two hotels has an I&O, it was so packed that at certain times, the drive-though line blocked the entrance to the hotel parking lot. Those things print money. That this was the 1st closure in more than 7 decades begs the question it was more than just poor location planning.
  19. In-N-Out Burger is closing its Oakland location permanently due to safety concerns related to ongoing crime in the area. This is the first time in the company's 75-year history that it has closed a location. The closure, effective March 24, 2024, is a result of frequent and severe incidents of car break-ins, property damage, theft, and armed robberies affecting both customers and employees, according to a statement from In-N-Out.
  20. A Korth, hell yeah. Not sure what makes them so special, but I'd "take" one if offered.
  21. Had dinner down in Deep Ellum over the weekend. Triple-D visited, Mexican food place 'Pepe and Mitos'. Great, great food. Found a spent 9mm casing in one of those paid parking lots. Every city has places where you have to be dialed in and very much aware of your surroundings. We were in Memphis on a recent college recruiting trip. Stayed downtown at the Peabody. Walked all over, down by the river, etc. Stepped around a few cracked out sidewalk zombies, but otherwise felt fine. Zoo was epic, and that area near it reminded me on the M-streets in Dallas. I'd steer clear of Beale street at night, but you could say the same for 6th in Austin
  22. In the Pantheon of parental pain around kids sports, cheer mom's can say a big fuck you to the rest of us. 6-8 hours for a two minute routine. Nope. They sit atop the mountain of "fuck this shit" supreme. Dad's I know don't even go anymore. They're out. Disney was fun for the kids. I preferred the rides at Universal.
