  1. Well damn it. I now have my eyes on a Gibson custom shop. They are asking $3K it has a crappy electric system but I’m not really going to plug it in. It’s an Everly Brothers edition. I want to know if you guys think it is a decent deal or not.

Your Maverick amp sounds like a Fender Mustang, possibly. I bought a small one a while back because it was a minty and dirt cheap pawn shop find. It sounded really good for a small practice amp, but I turned it around for profit since I already had too many small amps I don't play with.

It is a Fender Mustang 1 now that I'm home.

well, I've come to terms that I don't play electric. I have a 2012 American Tele Standard that is brand new (still has the stickers on it) with a fender amp. I'm not certain on the amp, but I think it is a maverick with all kinds of feaux pedal effects if memory serves. I want to sell them both and get a new acoustic. Today, my player is a 2000 Tak G series that is great, and I'll never sell it, but I can do better. What say you? do I keep the fender because I should never sell a guitar, or do I sell it to bump my budget for a new acoustic up a grand? pickup is not important because I only play in my office/back porch... I want something special, but don't think I can justify spending $4 or $5K. 6 year old daughter will likely inherit my collection, but she is currently very early in learning on a 3 string guitar.

    Help me spend my money

I suppose my priority is to fix up the house and save for retirement. I can probably count on one hand the things I bought for myself that cost more than $1K, and that includes 3 cars.

Nicest watch I have is a Speedmaster that I bought used a few years ago. I love it, but it barely gets wrist time because it's fragile compared to the Seiko tank diver I bought last year.

Luckily I have a wife who has no such qualms about spending money on herself.

I like nice watches, but also look at them as an investment or something to hand down. Properly cared for, They won't loose value other than a few that I took a flyer on but didn't cost a ton. I really appreciate the craftsman ship in them, and I guarantee, if I had to liquidate my collection today, I would get out more than I've put in or damn close to it. I've only bought one brand new watch, a Sinn 956, but even that one is somewhat rare and I bet I could sell it for more than I paid. I don't intend to sell them, but it is nice to know that if I had to, I've got a watch collection I could get close to $20K out of.

That may be some folks here, but have you visited the wives and stupid shit thread? Not one damn married surly man getting a BJ while driving, much less getting one while driving without her bitching about the speed, directions, or just looking at her phone

She’s much more snappy than my T/A+ I sold back. Still a boat but she’s a fun boat.

    Very nice

Cheap plastic moving parts. With sun beating on them and all the vehicle movement, the rails are bound to break. Bad design.

Panoramic sunroofs for the win, if they work (they also have a moving shade that blocks the sun…I’m sure y’all knew that).

negatory for me. This was a panoramic that I open maybe every three months. Cheap plastic moving parts

I like the panoramic roof on my wife's XC90, but would be okay if it didn't even open. I wish my car had a solid roof.

I hate the panoramic ones, too. Just let me have a fucking roof that blocks the sun, thanks.

Amen brother. I don't get it. That is what a convertible is for

  10. Just installed the eero 6. I did not go with the pro model thinking that if this isn't working great, it is an easy return. So far, so good. Tomorrow when the kids are awake, I'll test out the movie room to make sure we get a good signal there, but everywhere else is awesome.

Not a fan of the adaptive speed thing.

Neither am I. My wife's SUV had it back in 2014, and we were driving home from a wedding out in the boonies late one night. Speed limit was 65, and after a while, I notice we were going 45 because of the damn car in front of us. Neither of us noticed for about 10 minutes.

Also, I got some bad damn news today from the repair shop. The sunroof (which I didn't really want to begin with) broke on my 2017 F-150. Its going to be damn near $4K to replace the tracks for it, and a side view mirror that broke with a fuck head dodge with 2' trailer mirrors hit my mirror on a two lane road. With the rain, it is something I just have to fix, which really sucks. This is the second F-150 that I've had issues with the sunroof tracks on, never again if I can help it.

  12. Took a new job a while back, and have been in the office the last few weeks, so I've been driving around exploring a bit at lunch. Today, I saw a guitar shop I'm really excited to go check out. I had to get back for a meeting, so I didn't have time today, but Tone Shop Guitars in Addison. I love finding local guitar shops to check out, and this one looks like they've got some good stuff judging by their site at least.
