  1. Why would the World's greatest collection of higher education institutions need purging? They lead the way in helping to produce the greatest military and economy in the world. Students from all over the world come here and the country seemingly benefits greatly from their presence. What example institutions will American universities be modeled after once the purging is done? How do you expect to handle the current load of students with a significant drop in professors? I am curious about the administrative costs and any room to cut costs though purging seems quite a bit more drastic. American universities are basically hospitality industry members for students these days, along with higher education institutions. Hospitality tends to have high administrative costs. Where do you see the purging in admin targeting specifically? Student services? Academic support? Facilities management?
  2. parent rights unless the parents don't want their kids reciting a Christian prayer?
  3. You feel this feeling is unique to Republicans? Seems all democrats are labeled some acronym of "evil" and seemingly under a constant threat of violence
  4. Deleted my account this month as well. Not a valid resource for me any longer.
  5. Graham told everyone they were preparing to stomp on State's rights months ago.
  6. Caused a $625 in annual tax increase per family Caused $61 billion in bailout aid for farmers https://www.forbes.com/sites/taxnotes/2024/07/01/take-trump-seriously-when-he-says-tariffs-will-pay-for-tax-reform/ Iowa St studied its affect on Iowa extensively. Of course, Trump won Iowa so it must not have been too bad for them or must not "hurt enough". https://www.card.iastate.edu/products/policy-briefs/display/?n=1281 https://dr.lib.iastate.edu/entities/publication/45bd07e0-18bc-4cfa-b6d5-8db6ea9cb7a2 Average loss in soybean of $545 million Corn loss average $333 million Pork loss average of $776 million All resulting in labor income loss of roughly $484 million, upper range, without federal offsets Has been laughable to see Trump talk about Biden's inflation only to win with policy that will reverse the current downward trend and send it higher. But, the only truth for Trump voters is Trump, one of the most prolific liars in the world.
  7. McFarland in reference to GA Tech winning over Miami, "The Bees are stinging!" Yellow Jackets, you dumb fuck!
  8. Trump has been connected to politicians his whole career, is a supposed billionaire himself. He has the backing of our country's most wealthiest individuals and favored them by a mile with his tax cuts. If Trump, Elon, Thiel, Crow, Yass, Paulson, etc aren't elites, who is this "elites" then?
  9. https://www.npr.org/2024/11/07/nx-s1-5182886/trump-economy-latino-women-right-election-results While the Democrats seem so surprised, Republican strategists seem to know what was coming well in advance.
  10. Which promises do you question?
  11. I would lead with washington reform to go with deficit: amendment to mitigate citizens united, no stock trading, no govt employees/elected officials hiring by businesses they regulate or are lobbied by etc.
  12. Day of election? As in midnight? Midnight local time? Pacific time? I think we(citizens) all want elections to be fast and quick. 8 hour lines. Everybody working until 5pm on election day, means closing hours are busy. It should be a national holiday.
  13. Trump/Vance put Springfield through hell with bomb threats after their lies. Despite this, Democrats lost that county 35/65. 15 million fewer votes. Somebody fucked up huge.
  14. Speaking of truce, can we all agree the Russian interference and disinformation in this country is out of control? Highlighted by 100s of bomb threats from Russia at polling stations on Tuesday. Highlighted by influencers being paid by Russia to spread lies in the USA That can't happen. Is that an agreeable stance for all?
  15. What am I missing here? This is not a reduction bill. The bill repeals two provisions that reduce the amount of benefits paid to them. By removing them, citizens will see an increase in benefits. This is a spending bill to the tune of an estimated $186 million over 4 years.
  16. Take a few opportunities to seperate herself from Biden on those areas that didn't work?
  17. State has to okay it first
  18. Pastor Loran Livingston will handle him. It's a few months old but never fails. I posted this again yesterday, silence from my suddenly holy crowd. People I have known for decades who scarcely see the inside of a church except for funerals. "Praying for Trump".
  19. I knew better than to come in here..
  20. They missed it for the longest time but finally found fraud. It's a Republican, so nothing will be done before elections.
  21. That's sensible. Like doctors, have them carry a policy. Given the large number of law enforcement, risk should be reasonably spread and not expensive. Bad actors may not be able to afford to continue to practice due to the expensive premium increase.
