  1. Cuero Ropers in cherry arrived last night. They were previously tried on with scuffed soles, but at $130, I let it slide. Interesting that they go on easier than Tecovas, but once on, have a tighter fit. Overall, Tecovas are a better boot for me.
  2. Hope you were pitching.
  3. Completed the fast, but didn’t weigh myself over the weekend. Same plan for this week, fast from Sunday 9:00 pm until Friday 5:00ish pm. Keto over the weekend. Maybe I’ll weigh myself, maybe not. Felt good. Boredom was the worst.
  4. Been fasting since Sunday 9:00pm. Breaking it this afternoon. The hardest part has been the habit/boredom. No numbers, haven’t weighed myself in a while, but have been plateaued in the 215ish area. Gonna weigh myself this Sunday after I’ve eaten over the weekend and probably try it again next week.
  5. Exactly, I think everyone knows what’s going on.
  6. Austin in Cherry as well at 40% off. Don’t have ropers nor anything in that color.
  7. McManus and Gierach are poets.
  8. This is a good answer. I prefer the look of round toes, and don’t have anything against square toes. Still, some of the extra wide toe boots look like Kevin Malone wearing tissue boxes.
  9. Order both, try them on, and keep the pair you like best. Both companies include return postage with their packaging.
  10. I have a pair of the suede western heels. I like them at $150, but the price is going up. The Tecovas last fits my feet better.
  11. I have a tarsal boss on my feet. Not painful at all just a decent bump. So they may not be in the cards for me. Maybe a thick stingray wingtip and on a leather vamp.
  12. Ty.
  13. Anyone here have stingray leather boots? If so, what do you like/dislike about them? Any brands to seek or avoid?
  14. Hmmm, the shoes on your resume are not Goodyear welted. We’re gonna have to pass. Thank you.
  15. Just tried on my suede cueros and they are very comfortable. They are slightly, very slightly larger than my Tecovas. I wear an 11D in both. Definitely worth the $150.
  16. Cool thanks. If I recall, that was an issue with early Tecovas.
  17. How is sturdy is the toe box?
  18. If Cuero knows their shit, they’ll release a full-quill turkey boot named The Gobbler.
  19. Just pulled the trigger on the suede western heel in wheat. Will report back when I get them.
  20. Hmmmm... never owned a suede boot. What is the care protocol? Do they stain very easily?
  21. MSRP, but the guy gave me $20 off with some code he had behind the register.
  22. You can still get the Red Wing Pecos, but you need to go to a store to order them. I recently purchased some, they seem every bit the quality of my long gone pair. Still made in the USA. http://www.redwingshoes.com/red-wing-shoe/1178-red-wing-shoes/1178-red-wing-mens-11-inch-pull-on-boot-brown
  23. Thanks. They're getting there; thick socks and bick 4 seems to be doing the trick. I'm definitely gonna pass on the full dunk method.
  24. I ended up getting both the Dan Post Black waterproof boots and Red Wing 1155 Pecos. Breaking them in is going slower than I've encountered in the past. What do y'all do for breaking in boots that need it?
