  1. My MIL is a big cruise person and we’ve done the Alaska cruise with her twice (Celebrity and Princess). I don’t remember much about the Princess cruise because we had two kids under 4 at the time so we didn’t do too much other than watch the kids. Did the Celebrity cruise in 2019 and had a blast. Kids were old enough to roam the ship with their cousins while we worked out, got massages, or hung around the pool (or bars) during the days at sea. There was some pretty good live entertainment at night and the excursions were fun. We had balconies so it was great to sit in quiet and check out the scenery.
  2. Great win! USA!
  3. Yes; however, it’s not a significant gap. Whaaaaaat?
  4. As told to me by my mother, one of my sisters was flying 1st class a few years ago with her daughter (3 or 4 at the time). Sister let her daughter stand on the seat and throw things around the cabin all the while saying “she’s just trying to play”. Eventually a flight attendant put a stop to it after some discussion. I was not shocked to hear this story about this particular sister as she lived in FL for many years after graduating from high school.
  5. Is there a link to watch without a TV provider? We got rid of DTV two weeks ago.

    Deal-A-Meal program?
  8. I disagree
  9. Which has the better buffet these days, Sugar’s or Yellow Rose?
  10. Where are the hookers getting banged in the back of a car? Would a true GTA movie be doable?
  11. “Very smart” as defined by his upbringing, educational pedigree, and connections.
  12. Growing up in a small town in Western NY, this was a typical evening activity. We had several spots that offered great throwing lanes and multiple escape routes.
  13. He had an interesting life: “Before playing a fictional tough guy, he played one in real life after enlisting with the Air Force during the Korean War in 1951 where he flew secret missions. During his service, he made time for higher education he studied at institutions in Syracuse, Munich, and Paris before graduating Cum Laude from UCLA where he earned a master’s degree.” Fluent in several languages, he taught classes at the CIA and NSA. He was working on a doctorate when he signed with MGM. He was the last actor to portray the Marlboro Man in TV commercials. Great fight scene in Any Which You Can. More than 300 acting credits in his career.
  14. I didn’t know he removed my backpack until the FA asked who it belonged to as it was in the overhead of the row behind me. I was chillin in my seat reading a book. If I had witnessed him removing my bag, I would have had some words with the guy.
  15. Happened to me once on a redeye from SFO to NYC. Some dude removed my large backpack to make room for his. When it was clear both wouldn’t fit, FA was going to have mine checked until I explained what happened.
  16. This one. Especially as a father.
  17. Was surprised/pissed there were no shows in the SF Bay Area.

    Lynyrd Skynyrd

The Lynyrd Skynyrd documentary was pretty, pretty, pretty good.
  19. For making sandwiches, right?
  20. “I haven’t read the book yet either” Not a strong lead statement for an argument against a book
  21. It’s always dusty in my house at the end of Scrooged when they’re singing Put A Little Love in Your Heart
  22. Same. I also question Ryan curling up in a ball while everyone else is fighting/dying.

  24. Beasties/Run-DMC and Bowie. I was at the Run-DMC show at Fat Tuesday on 6th Street (1999?). It was an extremely small crowd. 50-100 people. As a teen in the 80s, I played Raising Hell over and over. So, seeing them play in that situation was surreal.
  25. The actor is Casey Siemaszko. He played Bowdre in Young Guns. I can see MJF as Jerry Mitchell but only if Charlie Sheen is Buddy Revell (based on his performance in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off).
