  1. Down 14 Opponent: Brady Me: Edelman and White
  2. Saw The Who last week in SF. Great show. First part they played songs from Tommy. Full orchestra for about 75% of the show.
  3. Just received this trade offer (ppr): Give: Mixon and Godwin Get: Devonta Freeman and Edelman I also have: (WRs) Hopkins, Thielen, Landry, and Samuel (RBs) Damien Williams and AP Leaning towards No as Godwin has been a beast this season.
  4. I had that combo in one of my leagues. Just under 100 points. Have just Deshaun in my other league and ended up with 69 (really 68.7 but this is Surly) points from him.
  5. Great win. Offense looked good. Defense stepped up when needed. Didn’t like the decision to pull Jake Smith from punt return duties. Fumbles happen.
  6. On the west side, I like JG Melon for lunch. Great burger. Clinton Hall is a good family-friendly place in lower Manhattan with good beer and decent food.

Good. Fuck that guy. As a father of two Chinese children, I’d have an extremely difficult time restraining myself if someone used the word “chinks” around me.
  8. I’d rather see another season of Entourage. Especially if Sloan got naked and/or tried anal again.
  9. Hi Texifornia. I’m HornPhD. You’re doing it wrong.
  10. Skip the sides and spend the money on booze. No matter what they say, the guys will want more booze.
  11. Mary, Mary...why ya buggin?
  12. In one of my leagues, we did our draft last weekend because we were able to get a suite at an Oakland A's game. Second year we've done that. Next year, we're going back to the Sapphire in Vegas.
  13. A huge Longhorn fan passed away today. Fucking pancreatic cancer. Brian Bryant was a research professor in UT’s Department of Special Education. Over the last 40 years, he rarely missed a home football game and attended a lot of away games.
  14. Seven Grand or Bar Jackalope for the whiskey? Wonder if the Seven Grand in SD has a hidden bar.
  15. We’re definitely leaning more toward staying near the Louvre. My only hesitation was my parents having this view in the mornings and evenings: Now that my wife nows about the shopping on rue Saint-Honoré, there’s no question
  16. Revised our plans. Now, we’re doing Paris (5 nights)-Normandy (2-3 nights)-London (5-6 nights). I was able to reserve two different apartments in Paris (both offered free cancellation) and would like some input. Both places are equal in cost and the amenities offered (e.g., AC). One is a lot nicer and 700 yards from the Louvre and a 2 minute walk to a subway station. The other is plain (still nice) and about a 10 minute walk to a train station; however, it is across the street from Parc du Champ de Mars (Eiffel Tower) and has a large balcony with an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower. What’s the Surly preference? Other than which one has better nearby bars, which I need to research.
  17. I’ve only been to Crosby’s Tavern and Gaming. It’s ok. I think there’s a bar across the street from the hotel. The Hyatt Regency does have a sports book, if you’re looking to kill time.
  18. Wife (looking at a Bob Melvin Manager of the Year commemorative pin): That’s not very impressive. Me: Why do you say that? Wife: A team only has one manager. Me: There’s more than one team. Wife (light turning on): Don’t say anything
  19. OJ and Trump. New crime-solving duo. Thursdays on Fox.
  20. ^^^^ You don’t want/need a car if you’re exploring the city. If you like seafood, check out swan oyster depot. If the line is too long, order your food to go and eat at one of the nearby bars.
  21. You can pick up BART in the airport. May need to do a bit of navigation to get there (e.g., need to take a tram to get to actual BART station). You will most likely have to wait 15 minutes for a train. You will make every stop between the airport and downtown (no express BART). You won’t have to walk too far from the downtown station (Powell) to the hotel (two city blocks). It may be a PITA, though. I’ve lived in SF/Oakland for 16 years and have only used BART 2-3 times to get to/from the airport. I’d go with Uber/Lyft. Fewer hassles and you will most likely get to your hotel faster.
