  1. Today is 30 days on the nose from when I tax loss harvested my most expensive lots of IBRX. I might yolo some more in my stonks account.
  2. Le Batard talked about it on his show today, which is great because it likely hits a large audience that has not heard much about P2025 yet. Stick around until the very end for some lulz.
  3. Joe is fresh out of fucks to give. Tee it high and let it fly champ.
  4. I hope the Buttered Biscuit sitting with them is real uncomfortable every time they start yammering on about DEI, woke, urban, etc. Is he going to snap when one of them drops the hard R n-bomb they so badly want to drop?
  5. I never knew that. So you banked them when hurricane Ivan shithoused their platform at Mississippi Canyon 20? That's one of the few incidents I know of where pretty much every single policy in place paid out full limits - and then the USCG tried to attach to every OSFR policy they ever had in place covering that block. That USCG stance made for some brutal conversations with clients during renewals earlier this year. ~400% increases on a policy that most operators have never made a claim against and that they are required to carry in order to operate. #pain https://darrp.noaa.gov/oil-spills/taylor-energy
  6. Not too much. Amarillo NB seems like an odd place for them to get financing from... I did have an old client in Houston that I became pretty good friends with who was old buddies with Brad Cox. My client was a P&A contractor that focused on state water and shelf stuff and he was telling me ~6 years ago that they were upside down on their ARO/Reserve value and weren't going to be able to make it work. I just remember them having a metric fuck ton of platforms for the number of economic wells they had producing. I'm sure they had bonds running to the majors they acquired fields from, in addition to the bonds for LA and BOEM, that were part of what killed them. There are thousands and thousands of abandoned wells out there that are ticking time bombs that taxpayers are going to end up getting proper fucked on.
  7. Oh man, my red pilled family is freaked the fuck out and already starting to convince themselves that the election will be stolen (just like it was in 2020). Sorry about your old ass sad sack of shit convicted felon candidate that more people HATE than like. Good luck!
  8. Yea, please give us this dude. I think this was from the signing ceremony for free school lunches:
  9. I hate to be a bottle of ketchup in the room with Trump when he was watching this. He's out here talking about DIET Mountain Dew trying to flash his Appalachian bona fides? Has he ever even had a rotten tooth pulled out of his head!? pfffffft
  10. I saw this last night and it really made me realize how beat down I had felt after the debate.
  11. Oh I believe you. I'm in the same boat with family, friends, and coworkers, but I lean into that shit now. It happened again last weekend when a newer friend of mine locally made some assumptions about my politics because of what I look like and where I live. I definitely did not bite my tongue and I doubt he'll bring shit up like that around me again. I also had a really long talk with my old boss (who you know) back before Christmas and got pretty forceful with him and basically shamed him for still supporting the orange shithead. And tbh, if you compare what I (and increasingly you) believe vs what the Republican party of today stands for, I am liberal.

  13. This is kinda my whole point. Any Republican who bends the knee for Trump gets 0 respect from me. And those Republicans that haven't bent the knee for Trump get 0 respect from today's GQP. They've been cast out of the party like lepers. There was a very brief moment after 1/6 where it looked like enough Republicans were disgusted by Trump's actions that they were finally going to throw him overboard. But then they saw how much the MAGAts didn't give a fuck about 1/6 and had to recalibrate and kick the gaslighting machine into overdrive. And now 1/6 holds a March-Across-a-Bridge-in-Selma type moment for mainstream Republicans. It's fucking disgusting.
  14. Man, a lot of the people that we work with/around on a daily basis are still full-throated Trumpaloos. It's hard to understand tbh. Like I said to you on this board a long time ago, he's not even good for the energy industry and he's terrible for the country. Fucking tax cuts I guess?
  15. Insurance and bonding costs alone make it almost impossible for small independents to operate offshore. The Coast Guard's stance on Taylor Energy's oil spill and how their OPA/OSFR insurance should respond drive part of this, but it's been a tough place for smaller guys to operate since Katrina and Rita completely changed the market for Named Windstorm insurance. These were my best clients for years and years, but hurricanes and platforms don't get along very well. And now host platform issues have become a real problem too. I've got a client that has a great well that was down something like 75% of the time in 2023 because the operator of a host platform went bankrupt and they had no way to get their product to market. I think the Feds could give away the leases for free and it would still be a very tough place to make it all work. At least on the shelf. Deep water isn't as big of a problem from an insurance standpoint. Maybe if operators could get a guaranteed $80/bbl buyer for 5 years, but I can't imagine any administration would go that far to boost supply. It's just not needed until the Permian peters out. Just my $.02
  16. I'm 45 years old myself, but the word on the street (Bluesky tbh) is that there is a young black influencer on TikTok that really started pushing out information on Project 2025 and it really got some traction. Young people who weren't already aware of P2025 were mortified and energized when they got more information about it. Then Trump stepped on his own mushroom in the debate with the "Black Jobs" comment and that started to trend on TikTok. And now Kamala's old comments about falling out of the coconut tree has been given the meme treatment and is keeping the yoots fired up. But again, I don't really know anything about anything and could be talking out of my ass...
  17. I don't know shit about fuck when it comes to TikTok, but it seems like the combo of Project 2025, "Black Jobs", and now Kamala/Coconut Tree/Brat summer have hit the algo like a runaway freight train. Maybe it will be enough to overcome Elmo turning twitter into a de facto arm of Dotard's campaign.
  18. Never seen this one huh?
  19. I've seen the same talk of how this late change is a "coup" from some of my red pilled family on line. These same chucklefucks hand-wave their candidate calling the Georgia SOS asking him to find 11,780 votes, participating in alternate elector schemes for which others have now been indicted, and SUMMONING A FUCKING MOB TO ATTACK THE CAPITOL DURING THE TRANSITION OF POWER! Go fuck yourself with a rusty pole you traitor supporting cunts.
  20. @sidis You motherfukers better chill.
  21. I live out in the sticks and we are on Deep East Texas Coop. I know we pay higher rates, but they do not fuck around with tree trimming. They are out whacking everything back off the lines at least every other year, probably more. I've seen them using a damn chopper with a long series of blades hanging down below it for areas where they can't get their ground equipment in. We were without power for a little under 24 hours last week. One of our neighbors had a snag/dead standing Pine that fell from 25 yards into the woods across the line that runs down our road and shithoused everything. The Coop was out here early on Tuesday morning and had it patched up quickly.
