  1. Yep. Until he proves otherwise, Hellebuyck is not a standout playoff goalie. He wasn't even a good goalie last year vs. the Avs.
  2. Calling out Shedeur for the talent differential between those teams is a take, I guess.
  3. They had slightly different supporting casts. That 1994 team is probably the most talented CU team ever.
  4. The closer you are to a resort, the bluer the area in the mountains. You don't have to go far to get into MAGAland, though.
  5. Not filing the 1099 would result in an automatic letter of deficiency from the IRS. Not a full audit, but they'd still have to sort it out.
  6. 1099s are sent to the IRS as well as the recipient. This is bad advice.
  7. Lulz. I love having Deion. I hope he stays for a long time.
  8. Of course it is, but who cares? It means nothing in the grand scheme.
  9. I think doing Shedeur's number is dumb (especially since he's not the best #2 I've seen at CU) but it doesn't really move the needle for me.
  10. Who gives a fuck? They're retiring 2 numbers.
  11. Lol, this thread always delivers. The Deion haters will jump at any excuse to take shots at him.
  12. Jok would never go 30/5/5 with OKC's roster. He'd be 25/12/15, though.
  13. So are you ladies gonna let me in here for the first round, or are you gonna ask blacklab to ban me? Just want to know how it is going to be.
  14. Yeah, you'd need a higher end home theater to get the movie theater experience on this one. Was an intense movie.
  15. Weird schedule this year. Avs were 1 or 2 games ahead of seemingly the entire league all season.
  16. MPJ is likely the one leaving. But maybe Jamal, I dunno. I'll be shocked if they are both on the roster come next season. Too late. Minny paid him.
  17. I'm being serious. My BIL had one of that vintage and he got it. It is a real thing.
  18. Nuggets are not giving up either one to the Lakers for less than Reaves. Lakers honestly don't have much to offer for them and, unlike the Mavs, aren't looking to just help them out.
  19. AG needs to stay on this team. Not only is he a perfect fit for Jokic, he's an athletic big who can play top level defense. Agreed that he has the highest trade value of the 3, although I think MPJ is a lot more valuable than people think. He shoots 40% from 3 on high volume and grabs 7 boards a game. Problem for the Nuggets in the playoffs is that he disappears for games at a time and is not good on D.
  20. The Kroenkes are good owners. They've won championships in football, hockey and basketball all within the past ~5 years (don't remember what year the Rams won). They are not afraid to make big changes when things aren't working (see the Avs this year). The only knock I've heard on them is they aren't willing to pay for top GMs in the NBA. We'll see if that changes this offseason. Lakers aren't getting either one of them without giving up Reaves, at minimum. They aren't going to give them away.
  21. At least one of them, if not both, are gone this offseason.
  22. Jokic was Josh Kroenke's first call after he fired Malone. While they didn't consult him on it, he was the first to know when it happened. You're going to see some moves from the Nuggets this offseason. They can't just keep rolling the same squad (great starting 5, awful bench) out there and expect different outcomes.
  23. Jokic isn't going anywhere. He's like Luka was. Zero desire to leave. From what I've heard, he was fine with the firing. The Malone/Booth beef had infected the entire organization. The only way forward was getting rid of both of them and start fresh. Take last night, for example, Russ didn't get near the minutes he's been getting and Jalen Pickett got them instead. Which is a good thing for the Nuggets. Russ works in 15-20 minutes a night. He doesn't work at 30+ a night (like he has been getting since Murray got injured). Nor do you want him out there to close out games (see TWolves).
