  1. Thus far, the Astros look rather disinterested….an old team spiraling down.
  2. Back in the late 60’s through the 70’s, we had quarterbacks who were extremely good at running the wishbone/option. They were never going to be NFL quarterbacks, but they helped get us two national championships in 1969 and 1970. In 1977, if McBath and Aune hadn’t gone down with season-ending injuries in the ou game, you can make the case we would’ve won another national championship. The fact that we were undefeated and in position to win a NC going into the Cotton Bowl with a third string QB (McEachern) was freaking amazing. The point is we had depth at the quarterback position to be able to run the offense we ran at that time. Darrell Royal and Fred Akers >did not< recruit passing quarterbacks. One of the many Darrell Royal quotes was, “When you put the ball in the air, three things can happen to you and two of them are bad.” Yes, I’m well aware that two of our current quarterbacks are likely first round draft picks. Hopefully, that translates into as many national championships as we won with quarterbacks who were not as adept at throwing the football. Hook ‘em.
  3. I am? I ‘ll drink to that as well.
  4. I’ll drink to that.
  5. My judgement may be impaired because I’m old. Really old. And I’ve been drinking since 9 AM because my wife’s out of town.
  6. No, not never regarding our QB depth. 1969 - James Street, Eddie Phillips, Donnie Wigginton. 1977 - Mark McBath, John Aune, Randy McEachern.
  7. Fine. Let’s revisit these posts after January 20th.
  8. Ryan Wingo is going to be a stud. We are so deep at WR.
  9. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand, we’re off.
  10. Low points offer a team of core winners time for inflection. However, if the odor of dissension is building, you can throw the preceding sentence out the window.
  11. Hey, hey, ho, ho Jose Abreu has to go
  12. Be careful what you wish for.
  13. Time to use my Farsi skills.
  14. https://bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-68806508 Iran’s navy seizes Israeli-linked container ship near the Strait of Hormuz.
  15. GERN +.27 to $3.71. PDUFA date is getting closer and , the last time I looked, almost 8% of Geron’s outstanding shares are sold short.
  16. Don Ohlmeyer supposedly fired Norm because he refused to let up on the OJ jokes. Ohlmeyer and OJ were friends. R.I.P. To be clear, that’s R.I.P. Norm.
  17. The circle of life.
  18. @BigOrange1 Ka-Ching. $513 big ones. No rush on my end also re: the dinero. Make it easy on yourself.
  19. So, you’re saying the Batcave is in Concan, Texas.
  20. Ford Motor announced today it had delayed the planned launches of three-row EVs in Canada and its next-generation electric pickup truck built in Tennessee as the slowdown in EV demand globally forces automakers to revise production plans. Ford said separately it was boosting hybrid electric vehicle offerings. The public acceptance of EV’s has slowed as hybrids are more popular than pure EV’s. Not great news for AMYZF (RecycLiCo) which needs EV demand to increase to make battery materials go up in value. There’s nothing wrong with AMYZF’s science or process and AMY’s joint venture with Zenith Chemical to build a battery recycling plant in Taiwan is well positioned with China’s push to EV’s. AMYZF has $20 million in cash and no debt. Just have to wait for EV demand to increase.
  21. @Hefeweizen When the price of uranium starts to move, if you like, I’ll let you know if you think you’d like to reenter UUUU in the future.
  22. I think the price of uranium has bottomed in the 80s and we’ll see $120 an ounce before the end of the year.
