  1. West Brom 0 - 2 Southampton back on track we have a deep Championship squad, which should be an advantage during this busy fixture run. Ryan Fraser and David Brooks have been brilliant loans (thanks Bournemouth) Defense was stout.
  2. Galileo had better odds. .
  3. to me the perfect song is one that you could swear had been written before; as if the melody has always been part of our DNA whether we realize it or not. Two came to mind.
  4. It's pretty relatable - When time is tight and you don't have the luxury of screwing around, there is inevitably one guy who calls an audible, thinking he's got a great idea.
  5. 1) Don't think much of Huey Lewis as a musician, but he comes off as a good dude. 2) That Geldof pep talk really sobered up the room (Al Jarreau not withstanding) 3) Was kind of sad when Sheila E was talking about her realization that her being there was just as pawn/lure to get Prince to show up.
  6. no, the problem is Democrats and democratically controlled cities - Texags
  7. Looking at Hawkes' IDB page. He was in and around Austin in the late 80s taking parts in movies shot in Texas. Future Kill, DOA, Heartbreak Hotel, Flesh and Bone, Johnny B Good. Even appeared in the notorious Butthole Surfers short - Bar-B-Que Movie
  8. Bristol City 3 - 1 Southampton bad day at the office really missed Flynn Downes today. have a brutal stretch of mid-week games for the next 5 weeks. 25 match unbeaten streak in all competitions ENDED (last loss had been sept 23rd) fall to 3rd place, Leeds to 2nd Leicester just keeps on winning. A machine.
  9. John Hawkes has a pretty interesting history with Austin. in the early 80's he was in the band Meat Joy with Gretchen Phillips (of Two Nice Girls fame).
  10. So good. I love that gleam in his eye, that smirk on his face, when he knows he nails it.
  11. So, Trump apparently was jealous that Joe Biden overshadowed him in the news late last week. Doesnt matter that is was all negative for Joe. Trump just couldn't take it that the news was all about Joe. Well mission accomplished. i don't know why it took me so long to figure it out.
  12. Larry asking for a black lawn jockey at the nursery was quintessential cringe Larry. *I thought Episode 1 was a bit over the top ridiculous, but i think Episode 2 got things back on track.
  13. Oh. Dan? Thought you said Stan.
  14. whoa.. those average SAT scores. now I am seeing how i got in in 1986 😀 ........well that and Top 10% rule back in my day.

  17. Next time the Right brings up the "Biden controls the Justice Department" talking point, bring this up. That report was a political hit job. That being said, I wish Biden had just said directly and concisely last night: "I should not have had classified documents stored in my residence. It was a mistake on my part and I take responsibility for that." .
  18. FA Cup Replay Southampton 3 - 0 Watford 3 goals in the second half Mara with the brace 24 match unbeaten streak in all competitions (last loss was sept 23rd) Who we got in the next round of the FA Cup? The mighty Liverpool Football Club @ Anfield. Gulp! ,
  19. Honestly, she sounds pretty awesome. We didnt get that type of guidance where we are at.
  20. Southampton 2 - 0 Rotherham Comfortable from start to finish 23 match unbeaten streak in all competitions (last loss was sept 23rd) In 2nd place, all by our lonesome!
  21. with SAT/ACT scores being so devalued by colleges (Univ of California System doesn't even look at them), your GPA, class rank, class rigor, and your essay have become more emphasized. As far as taking less AP classes, I am pretty sure my son's class rank would have been lower had he not loaded up on AP classes. Every other motivated kid is maxing out, you gotta keep up. of course if your child is getting a C (or even a bunch of Bs) in an AP courses, you should scale back and try to find a balance. Not easy when you essentially have 3 years to build one's academic resume. i won't say that the counselor is wrong, but i would be wary.
