2024 Week 17 - Cotton Bowl CFP Semifinal Texas vs Ohio State
I can't remember the exact wording of his question but Bowels asked Collins or Hill if they lacked a killer instinct. What a dumbass but, yes... feed that fire.

Never been to Bolzano but I've been curious to visit. There's also Bressanone or Vipiteno. I would eat canederli 😁

Ski Season 2024/2025
Today is our last delay at Taos. Suspect it will be a short day since it is supposed to get uncomfortably windy. Wish there was more snow but damn their operations team keeps the runs in great shape. Lift lines? What are those? Best snow on the mountain? Past two days it's consistently been Juarez.

Hawaii- Big Island
So I went ahead and booked a ticket flying into Honolulu and flying out of Kona. Right now I'm trying to figure out how much time we'll spend in Oahu with more time on the coast if possible. Leaning towards time on the east side of the island. If there's one thing I'm noticing about Hawaii is the absurd hotel and condo prices. I mean, seriously, you see one price and then you see the final price. With all the taxes and fees and garbage added on top. The first price is already overpriced and then it gets worse. Makes me reconsider a future trip to Switzerland.

Mack Brown Tarheel Football: The Orange Slice Boogaloo
The only thing that was surprising about that interview was Mack finally admitting he should have played Garrett Gilbert more.

Hawaii- Big Island
Was doing some more digging last night. Molokai really looks like it would be a little rustic but pretty stunning nature wise. So now I'm just trying to figure out if I fly in and out of Oahu and stick the big island in the middle or stick Molokai in the middle. If we do Oahu essentially twice, we may stay in two different parts of the island

Hawaii- Big Island
Working on 1 1/2 maybe 2 weeks in Hawaii in June. Thinking of Big Island, Oahu (although it sounds like a hassle) and maybe/maybe not adding in Molokai? Traveled to many places all over the world but feeling a little lost. Don't need to do super touristy stuff but am big on nature and beaches, hiking, etc. don't really need glitz and trying to get my wife maybe used to Hawaii being more laid back than what she might like... like I'm definitely NOT booking some luxury resort. Not happening. Ideas? This will not be a luxury trip.

Concerts you are attending
Reminds me of a conversation I had with one of the members of Texas String Assembly about their tour. It was three cities including Austin.

Anybody use these portable outdoor pizza ovens?
Everyone tells me to make my own dough but I just get the stuff at TJ. If you have a Whole Foods nearby, they used to sell frozen balls of dough and you could make two pizzas out of each ball. Anyway, get the TJ stuff and freeze it. It works in a pinch and I can make two pizzas with one package. Stuff is sticky so have lots of flour on hand when trying to work it and get it out of the package. We should be around the stadium. Gametime decision on whether we go in or not.

Never used that kit and I suspect you don't have Trader Joe's handy but one thing that helps is making sure your dough is not cold. Stretches a lot better. You'll go through a lot of trial and error at first. Can get frustrating out practice pays off.

Ski Season 2024/2025
When I talk of skiing in Europe being cheaper, its not just about the lift tickets. It is the combination of many factors. Yes, I know... if you live in Denver or SFO and can bolt over to the slopes, this doesn't apply to you. But if you live in Austin or Houston and often fly to go skiing, this absolutely applies to you. This post is just me venting about the absurd on-mountain prices in the US. Latest example that I saw someone post (from Park City) At that price, you better be getting a burger in Switzerland (no, Switzerland is not what I would call cheap. I learned that once) Anyway, from a slopeside restaurant in the 4 Valees in Switzerland Wait, that's expensive! Yeah, so here's a light bite at a mountain terrace in Montgenevre... Or you can go to Hohe Mut Alm in Obergurgl (one of my favorite mountain restaurants in the alps) and I strongly recommend the hash brown dish... Hash browns? It is this and they are glorious...

First, sorry for your loss by living up in Georgetown. Second, after looking at pictures of the pizza at 600 Degrees... yeah, this thread is not for you
