  1. I get the hate for Naples, though I liked it. It's unique compared to the rest of the country but IMO offers by far the best pizza and tomatoes you'll eat anywhere in the world. We never felt unsafe there but it's certainly dirty with lots of graffiti, etc. It's a city I feel like someone like Anthony Bourdain would have loved. I would still recommend spending a day or so there, do a half-day tour of Pompeii, have an awesome lunch and a wine tasting nearby at the Cantina del Vesuvio family-owned winery...go back to the city for an awesome dinner then train out the next morning. Do NOT drive yourself, however.
  2. The worst part of course is that she also possessed many of the other qualities prized by the superficial man.
  3. Yeah, its weird AF being a Friday night and I'm just sitting down to watch FP2 that was recorded 2-3 hours ago.
  4. Can’t believe I missed this.
  5. Coach Banks?
  6. “In what may be his last at bat as an Atlanta Brave.” Joe Buck, go fuck yourself.
  7. I’m a Braves fan but that seems like a weird thing to say.
  8. They registered Soler’s homer at 446 feet. Does that seem right?
  9. Re: Rome…if you lean Marriotts then the St. Regis is one of their premier properties in the world, and the Westin Excelsior is very nice in its own right. When I was there this past July, I also walked into the Pantheon Autograph collection and liked it but admittedly have never stayed there…it’s in a great location too. For food, have any of you ever eaten at Osteria 44? Look it up, it’s a short walk from the aforementioned St. Regis and maybe another block or two further from the Westin. The owner Sergio welcomed us each of our three visits, tossed our menus and guided us through various 4 or 5 course meals, all have been among my favorite dining experiences anywhere, much less in Rome. It’s exceptional. This goes for most of Italy IMO but I agree with whomever said go a couple blocks away from the tourist spots for the best food, at much better values too. Example around the Parthenon, we are a couple of times at a place mostly filled by locals called Enoteca Corsi. Very good. For Venice, JW is best value but as I’m sure you know requires a water taxi everywhere. Have you looked at Gritti Palace or Hotel Danieli? I can’t wait to get back to Italy, next time for a month hopefully.
  10. I need an Albies hit to win an SGP bet...so relax guys, he'll end the inning here.
  11. Well, I sure didn't see a 2-hit* shutout coming tonight...and if you say you did you are a fucking liar. Go Braves!!
  12. d'Arnaud he didn't!!
  13. Wouldn't be surprised to see 3-runs here for the Stros.
  14. Check swings for fucking everybody tonight
  15. Concur. Was drizzling and cool earlier and track was damp but fog/clouds are breaking now and temps getting into the high 70s, low 80s.
  16. I will say this, a supervisor or something must have shown up and told security to stop checking bags at this turn 4? entrance because right after the picture above they just had people walking in and the line was cleared in about 10-15 mins. 10 more mins until we can order a beer.
  17. Someone said, “at least the lines are moving.”
  18. I figured as much…we’ve got someone dropping us off and picking us up, so trying to figure out where best to coordinate that…
  19. I am fucking jacked. Sunday only tickets but that's all we could manage. I have absolutely no idea what to expect.
  20. I can’t be blind, Jerry, the blind are courageous.
