  1. And these fucking Gumps have me rolled up…the live music act is replacing lyrics with “Alabama” for whatever state it should be, and the locals here are predictably electrified over it. Is this the most insecure, retarded state ever? So far we’ve gone through Country Roads and I just heard “corner of Winslow, Alabama.” Fucking kill me.
  2. From now on, I’m not wearing anything unless it’s straight out of the dryer.
  3. Vegas report: Spent a few days playing at Caesars, Bellagio, and Aria. Tables all allowed 8 players total, but unlike in prior years and with pretty hefty crowds in town I didn't have a problem ever finding my preferred spot at the end. With maybe an exception for a few hours on Thursday and early Friday, I never saw anything lower than a $25 minimum table at Caesars. Bellagio and Aria had $15 minimums every morning. The action was mostly down for the first two days, and then yesterday afternoon happened. I was down around $1,000 for the trip at this point and figured if I lost another $1,000 the afternoon/evening before I left, whatever, it was well within my budget for the trip. My wife wanted to go shopping after lunch so I walked up to an empty $25 table at Caesars and cashed in $500, a little more than my typical $200-$300 limit per session. I'd roll a point, crap out, roll a point, crap out, and finally on about my fourth roll had a point of 8 established, $25 on my odds, $30 on the 6, and only about $3 left in my stack. Basically down to my last $80 bucks for this go-around and what happened next is why I love this game so much. I proceeded to roll 3-4 points, hit various numbers and hard-ways along the way, and built my bankroll back up to about $700 or $800 before crapping out. The table was now full at this point, and I hovered right around $800-$1000 in my stack for the next 3 shooters when the dice finally got back to my end of the table to a quiet gentleman standing in the "slot" just left of the stick man. The dude then goes on one of the best rolls I've ever seen or been a part of in my life. One of my favorite plays as I've mentioned in the past on this thread is starting out rolls with $5 hard-ways, and either press or parlay them up each time they hit. On the hard 8 alone I hit at $25 once, $100 twice, and then at $150 once. I hit the hard six at $100 once and hit a hard ten at $100 twice. By the end of the roll, I had over $7,000 in my stack which was by far more than I've ever won on a single roll. I was next to shoot so figured what the hell, but crapped out within about 3 rolls and cashed in my chips for a little over $6,800. I'm sure it's not much for the Surly 1%er's but that's a damn good weekend for me.
  4. I'll be hitting up Old Homestead this week...was torn between there and Prime. Really looking forward to getting back out there and hopefully the tables are easier to play now since the tournament is over.
  5. What do you do?
  6. Got my first Moderna shot this morning...feeling good about 13 hours later, just a little soreness at the shot site.
  7. T-minus three weeks for me, as well. Good news today that capacity has increased and Google says most of my favorite restaurants are open for dine-in. Our last visit was early last March...we left about a week before everything shut down.
  8. Can I say one thing to you? And I say this with an unblemished record of staunch heterosexuality. It's fabulous.
  9. I called TDA on Friday and they said it would correct automatically within 1-3 days.
  10. Anyone else still not seeing TSNPD reflecting correctly in their TDA app?
  11. He seemed more than "a little" medicated.
  12. Time to buy into AMYZF at $1.62?
  13. There's a large facility like this just outside Chattanooga, TN. Pretty cool story and can really crank out the megawatts when needed. https://www.tva.com/energy/our-power-system/hydroelectric/raccoon-mountain
  14. "Yeeeesssss...Kavorca." Korvorca? It is a Latvian word, which means, "the lure of the animal." HELP ME FATHER, HELP ME!
  15. Just booked a long weekend in Vegas for a few weeks from now. Damnit I had forgotten about this thread, looking forward to going back despite only "6" people to a table now.
  16. It's quite a versatile scale, for sure.
  17. Lol at y’all knowing the actual temperature when you were in Vegas. I usually measure it as cold, hot, or hot as fuck.
  18. Sad. An article from a Las Vegas outlet quoted the family as saying the cause of death was from complications from a recent surgery. RIP young man.
  19. I'd known her for years. We used to go to all the police functions together. Ah, how I loved her, but she had her music. I think she had her music. She'd hang out with the Chicago Male Chorus and Symphony. I don't recall her playing an instrument or be able to carry a tune. Yet she was on the road 300 days of the year. In fact I bought her a harp for Christmas. She asked me what it was....
  20. “Cuban?” “Uh no, Dutch Irish. My father was from Wales.”
  21. Nobody would have picked him, but as a lifetime lover of baseball it hurts that Pedro Gomez passed away suddenly today at the age of 58. Seemed like a really good dude. Fuck.
  22. Well boys, break's over. Don't just lay there gettin' a suntan.
  23. I bought in this AM at 2.32...figured the same. Maybe it will catch fire and if not...meh.
  24. Me watching NAKD this morning.
