  1. some of the industry articles on this think it's not a long term impact to bariatrics/metabolic programs - can't take it forever (for most folks), so some of the projections have a "start taking GLP1, make no lifestyle changes, drop weight, stop taking GLP1, re-gain the weight...go to a bariatric program to get surgery" piece built into it. my general understanding is that it is NOT a long term solution for most people.
  2. imagine finding a way to make his own bad joke even less funny... saw this link too, like the 5th comment down is INCREDIBLE (2nd SS) well...TECHNICALLY
  3. if someone is buying an EV based on design, they are doing it wrong. if they are buying a Tesla EV because of design, well they are as dumb as the folks buying it for it's reliability. also someone complaining about a cheap interior while championing Tesla? and just because i want to dunk on the guy who was talking about reliability, here are the consumer reports reliability #s for the mentioned cars Polestar: not sufficient data VW ID4: 29 Ioniq 6: 70 Mustang Mach E: 45 BMW i4: 60 AUdi Q4 e-tron: 48 Audi Q8 e-tron: 41 Mercedes EQS: 20 vs Tesla Tesla Model 3: 47 Tesla Model Y:41 Tesla Model S: 30 Tesla Model X: 27
  4. people want to point to someone like CJ Goodwin (special teams ace, iffy DB who played <2% of defensive snaps) who has earned over $8m during his 9 year career as an example of what a very good ST guy can be but those dudes are few and far between. was Nahlin the one who said he thought Crawford would get drafted too?
  5. Brown had his first ever visit recently, positive data point that he stayed committed after Bo left. Lance Jackson committed 1/21 and Zenitz posted about Texas hiring Baker on 1/25 the fact both have stayed on board is positive for sure, but Baker had less than 0 to do with them jumping on board in the first place
  6. oh my god man. if you want a reliable car 1) you don't buy an EV and 2) you don't buy from the big 3 if you want a car made in america, go re-read my info above. it goes into it. funny enough, their spread is also shit comparatively. even though trucks score notoriously badly in these rankings vs vs but sure man. die on the platform, if you are buying american made cars and buying for reliability you really are dumb as hell.
  7. yeah man, fuck straight off with this dumb as hell take. Tesla ranks #14 of 30 in the Consumer Reports reliability rankings. here's the top 20. if you are buying a vehicle and even kind of considering reliability as one of the things you are thinking about - you absolutely, totally and completely, do not buy a fucking Tesla nor do you buy an EV at all. a 48 out of 100 is abysmal. Tesla is closer to #30(Chrysler at a score of 18) than they are to Toyota (#1 at 79) here is the CR info on powertrain info, which also shits on Tesla due to the powertrain: for what it's worth Toyota has 7 of the 10 most reliable cars in this survey, the other 3 are the BMW x5, Subaru Forester and the Acura RDX but sure, if you want a fucking Tesla you can make sure you defend it however you want. just don't try to use something like reliability as a reason to buy one. side note, are we acting like Buick (GM division) is not an American auto manufacturer now? they score higher than Tesla --- how do you even identify an "American made" car now? Tesla claims 100% but that NHTSA list has them at anywhere between 60-75% made in the USA - which genuinely is awesome for them. https://www.nhtsa.gov/sites/nhtsa.gov/files/2023-03/MY2023-AALA-Alphabetical-3-31-23.pdf other cars in the top 10 made in the USA below are the ID.4 EV (somewhere between 65-75% depending on trim level) and the Passport (at 75%), here's the top 15 American Made cars per Cars.com: https://www.cars.com/articles/2023-cars-com-american-made-index-which-cars-are-the-most-american-467465/ for what it's worth here are the 3 highest rated Consumer Reports cars and their % American in that report above: Toyota 4Runner: 100% Japan Toyota Camry Hybrid: 45% USA, 30% Japan Toyota Camry: 65% USA, 10% Japan --- and yes, yet again you did it! edit: again, this guy is acting like scoring 14th in the most reliable cars ranking is a good thing! 14th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! here is how the Toyota models score! here are the Tesla models: just for a shitty comparison, here is the buick: here is the nissan:
  8. @AP101S is the guy who put it together and maintains it. it's awesome https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1TzoBTIvCXfZIk7Sz3C9txMg0yPvrXyVM/edit#gid=1682239859
  9. there is no reason for folks to be worried about the WR room at this point in time. between portal, Sark's offense and NIL it's the position i'm the absolutely least worried about on the entire squad. Cain is at UNLV now. Niblett is still here. Red is here (for now) i'm going to assume we see a good bit of attrition from the RB room over the next 9 months - just a ton of dudes who are trying to come back from injury (Dubose, Linvingstone), haven't taken real snaps but were development guys anyway (Niblett) and guys who may not be WR anyway (Butler.) this is a very good, very deep WR room - a top 5 of Bolden, Golden, Bond, Cook, Wingo is exceptional. same for RB. who knows what happens there but as long as Choice is here i'm not worried.
  10. just pointing out the fact that they have won 9+ games 6 times in the last 25 seasons, and won more than 9 games once in the last 25 seasons (2012 Johnny Manziel year)
  11. you left off someone Tom recruited, who then decommitted and then was pretty good at UF, BUT who gave us an incredible GIF - Princely Umanmielen anyone remember who actually made this here? i need to go give them more rep
  12. Kelly's Hill Country Barbecue in WImberly - https://www.texasmonthly.com/bbq/kellys-hill-country-barbecue/ used to be Creekside Cookers until they closed in 21, then they reopened. Hays County Barbeque in San Marcos was in the top 50 let me be vert clear, i have NOT been to Nik's Not Normal but have heard positive things from a couple of folks. here is what BBQ Snob himself had to say in the "where to eat BBQ in and around San Antonio" article: https://www.texasmonthly.com/bbq/where-eat-barbecue-san-antonio/ https://www.instagram.com/niksnotnormal/ https://www.instagram.com/p/CxnmHYDunD0/ pulled from IG to be fair i also saw one that looked like it had about an inch of fat on the top of a piece that had not been rendered at all, so maybe hit and miss. but it's canyon lake for god's sake - not like there are a million choices. you beat me to Kelly's - it's a good rec
  13. this may be the single funniest line i have ever read on this website.
  14. this should just become your profile pic at this point. i get the point you are trying to make, but if you don't think its a problem to beta test self driving software, which only is using cameras + AI, on the roads in general - i think we are going to have to continue to agree to disagree this isn't a "it's bad for drunk people to drive" discussion, it's a "beta testing full self driving on the roads is bad" discussion.
  15. Dittman may not be him, but this shit is hilarious. that IG screenshot on the left was posted on 3/22 lol

    Below Deck

i still like BDSY, but the rest? yes. they should have kept the name and moved it elsewhere with the new captain and co
  17. the difference between TDZ/THZ and Sweet Spot is huge. and i say this as someone who likes Monty a ton. glad the ratings are working out for them, and if they think that's a long term solution - then good luck - but it is a monumental step down in quality across the board.
  18. you are going to have to believe me and everyone else here - vision only is a dead end. not enough inputs. there is a reason that every other company on the planet going down this direction is going down it with multiple inputs not vision only. Tesla literally cannot hit Level 5 Self Driving with their current setup. they can call it whatever they want, but it is not possible from a technical standpoint.
  19. check in a few weeks? lol i just want to point this out that he has had the literal shit kicked out of him as the second driver in the car for each of the 3 full years he has been in it in two of the three years that they have been in the same vehicle, PER could have doubled his point total and still finished behind Max. doubled! 2021 he finished 4th in the constructors championship, almost 200 points behind 2nd (HAM) and was 36 points behind BOT for 2nd. he won 0 races. Lewis won 8, BOT won 1. BOT finished 36 points ahead of him despite having 4 retirements and MB treating him exclusively like a 2nd driver and doing a bunch of testing on his engines/engine modes to help HAM 7x vs Checo's 2 2022 he finished 3 points off of LEC for 2nd, despite LEC having an additional retirement. he won 2 races, LEC won 3. LEC had 3 retirements to Checo's 2. 2023 he didn't grab 2nd place until HAM was disqualified at COTA. despite having a vehicle that was miles better than the Mercedes, he still only beat HAM by 50 total points. he had 4 second place finishes in what was very very very clearly the 2nd best car on the grid. Alonso had 3. Lando had 5 2nds. LEC had 3. in the last ten races of the year, he had 2 podiums. NOR had 5. i get what you are talking about, but no. he has never put any pressure on Max. even this year, even today with 3 races under his belt he is not 2nd in the WDC (1 point behind LEC, 6 points ahead of Sainz) PER is incredibly lucky he signed his renewal in Monaco last year. i think if he had held off until the summer break i think they go a different direction.
  20. you should put what you can in the oven then the rest in the cooler. it will make a huge difference, seriously. i think i could fit 2-3 easily in my regular sized oven after shrinkage but i typically do a more aggressive trim than most. this is the way. preheat the cooler - i would go longer than 10 min but that's me fill the empty space. the temp is going to drop a good bit, but if you do what you can in the oven and the rest in the cooler you should be fine. i would absolutely not pull at 195 though. cook them to done then rest. you will wish you had done this if you don't. how many are total you talking about here? if you are using a cooler maybe see if you can borrow a large(er) rotomolded cooler from a friend and do it that way?
  21. for 5 races it was close, then Checo shit the bed worse than any driver over the last decade. in a car that was drastically better than anything else in the field - Max clinched 1st with 7 races left. Checho didn't clinch 2nd until after the race at COTA, and only then clinched because Lewis got disqualified. even then..."pressure" lol
  22. again costco is awesome for this (same for sams) on a cost standpoint. BUY A BUNCH.
