  1. I finally saw it and thought it was pretty good. The CGI for Silver Surfer and Galactus was pretty dope. The CGI baby was creepy af. Too bad there weren't any actual babies around that they could have filmed.
  2. Orioles up 5-0 in a rain delay in the top of the 6th. It's getaway day, should probably just call it.
  3. Fun little 9th inning. M's tie it with 2 in the top half, O's walk it off with a 2 out double scoring the runner from 1st
  4. Hey Cano, throw strikes shithead
  5. I like the books but am ambivalent about watching this. I've read that they created ways for characters to carry over season to season which seems antithetical to the books. I don't know why you wouldn't make it an anthology. Have they gotten to the mule yet?
  6. Albert don't call me Joey Belle was a bad man
  7. Yeah Money Maton hooked it up this afternoon Hadn't seen that. All after 2 outs in the 9th.
  8. Won't be us, let's see if the Dodgers fall out of 1st tonight Also picked up a game on the Jays

  15. Padres go up 1-0 on the Giants in the top of the 6th. Yu vs Webb and I'm listening to Jon Miller on the app. Not a bad way to wind down for the night.
  16. Good win. One game up. Kind of wanted Roman to reach to bring up Breggy for the drama.
  17. Damn, nice barehand
  18. Good job of the Santos!
  19. the carrot sticks with ranch made it healthy
  20. Ha, at least the saddle was cool
  21. The second was She Rides Shotgun. I really liked the book by Jordan Harper and didn't even know it was being made into a movie. The story is about a guy who has a hit put on him, his ex and their daughter by an Aryan gang just as he's getting out of prison. Taron Egerton and the little girl playing his daughter were pretty good together. I was especially impressed with the girl showing both fear of and love for her dad just out of prison. There were some good landscapes and a pretty good chase scene. The ending wasn't as good as the book and went for more of a paint by numbers hollywood shootout. Overall I thought it was good not great.
  22. I saw two in the theater last week that seemed to get barely any promotion. The first was Oh, Hi. I decided to see it based on Molly Gordon as the lead and co-writer and I thought the logline sounded interesting...a couple goes on their first weekend away together and things go awry. Nothing I've heard about The Bear has ever caused me to want to watch it but I liked Gordon in the Animal Kingdom show on TNT. I thought it was just ok. The guy turns out to be kind of an asshole and the girl turns into a cross of this girl and Kathy Bates from Misery. The stuff played for laughs was pretty good but the tone kept going back serious and those parts didn't work as well for me. Then there was a deus ex machina fakeout ending but the actual ending hinted that everything was fine and they might stay together which didn't really make sense.
